A bit about myself:

My name is Donald Doherty and I live in Chesapeake Virginia. I attend a Messianic congregation called Mishkan HaMelech - Tabernacle of the King, which meets every Friday evening for Sabbath services.

 

I am married to a beautiful wife, Cathy, who has a ministry making Tallits (Prayer Shawls), called Bat Shamayim - Daughter of the Heavens. We have been married for a year now.

 

I am currently the congregational Shamash or Deacon for Mishkan HaMelech. I also serve on the worship team and co-host a live Internet radio show each Sunday from 6pm - 7pm Eastern time called the "David and Don Show", which also has a live ICQ chat during the same time.

I currently hold a Bachelor's of Messianic Studies from the Messianic Bureau International Yeshiva, and am currently working on my Master's for Messianic Rabbi from the same Yeshiva. I am also on staff as a Yeshiva instructor.

 

I am affiliated and licensed as a Messianic Evangelist (M'vasayr) through the Messianic Bureau Ministerial Association.

 

Kol HaShofar is also affiliated with Messianic Bureau International and is a little over a year old. Mostly an Internet ministry, there is a messageboard for people to discuss anything dealing with the Messianic Jewish movement.
