From the ashes of the Elven government rises a new party of intrepid adventurers, known cryptically as the Guild of Cormanthyrian Freedom. D'Amico, a brilliant young magician, Opie, a skilled woodsman, and Zebo, a holy knight make up the ranks of the guild, and are united by their shared hatred of House Jaelre and all their dealings. Spurred on by their alignment with a secret organization known as the Ashen Compact, the Guild of Cormanthyrian Freedom have accidentally discovered Vezera's plans. The House Jaelre Armada has begun a silent quest for an unknown artifact, one that may aid them in their conquest of the entire Dalelands. Our heroes have vowed to sever the hold Vezera and Jezz have over Cormanthor, and they prey that they may stop them in time before the region itself is in grave danger.
The epic adventure begins now, as our heroes delve deeper and deeper into a diabolical mystery. Mysteries that include the now-dead prophet Kedrin Bale, who secretly betrayed the Ashen Compact and aided the Jaelre Armada in some profound way. Mysteries like that of a masked desert warrior who tipped The Guild of Cormanthyrian Freedom off about the location of Vezera's troops. Mysteries of the newfound clergy of Bane, mysteries of the power of evil itself.
