Esumi Makiko is a doctor who is very successful in her career but very bad at love.  She decides to go to Rome to surprise her boyfriend with a valentine's gift and on her flight over, meets and befriends Yonekura Ryoko, an air stewardess, during a medical emergency on-board.  When she arrives in Rome, she discovers her boyfriend in bed with another woman...  In a church in Rome, Esumi Makiko meets an old woman who tells her that she will fall in love and marry a guy "who will not hold back anything from her".  Later, on the flight back to Tokyo, she helps out a man with a stomache-ache and out of gratitude, the guy who's a chef invites her and Yonekura Ryoko to dine at  his restaurant where he introduces them to his friend, who is the secretary of a congressman, and the two woman become attracted to him...

Doumoto Koichi is a former police inspector who has been downgraded to the "Seikatsu Anzen" (Life Safety) division after he helps out a little girl but is mistakened to be a kidnapper - thanks to the inaccurate reporting by Uchiyama Rina, a news reporter.  He is partnered up with Kakei Toshio, and in their first assignment, are sent to protect a university student from a stalker.  But they fail in their mission, and a few days later, the girl is hurt... In each episode, Koichi is faced a different assignment, which he tries to solve with his partner Toshio.
  

Fujiwara Norika is an attractive 29-year old woman working in a jewellery store and dating a nice man.  However, beneath the perfect exterior, she is deeply unhappy and dissatisfied with her life.  She feels empty and dead inside, and despite having a boyfriend, she cannot forget an old boyfriend (Osawa Takao) from her past, whom she used to love deeply but their love was destroyed because she did not believe in him.  Meanawhile, Takao is now married to Tomita Yasuko, who is a very good wife to him but nonetheless he also retains feelings for his past lover and is caught in a dilemma between his commitment to his wife and his growing love for his ex-girlfriend...

Shin Omizu no Hanamichi is the sequel to "Omizu no Hanamichi" and picks up on the lives of Zaizen Naomi and Kamikawa Takaya after their parting.  Club Paradise has lost much of its former glory after the departure of Zaizen Naomi - as well as most of the club's other successful hostesses, who had been recruited by a successful new club.  A new girl who is a great fan of Zaizen Naomi and wants to be just like her, joins Club Paradise but is disappointed to learn that she no longer worked there.  Meanwhile, the club is struggling to find enough experienced hostesses to tackle a big party they had been booked for, and she goes to find Zaizen Naomi in the countryside to get her to return to the club.  Zaizen Naomi is no longer a glamourous hostess but a woman living very simply in the countryside.  She refuses to go back to Club Paradise as she has no desire to return to her former profession.   However, that night, she dreams of Kamikawa Takaya, who says to her that "even though we parted, we will see each other again if we can meet in a place that's important to both of us"...  She naturally thinks of Club Paradise and thus changes her mind and shows up on the eve of the party to help them out...

Ogata Naoto and Nagasaku Hiromi are a newly married couple who are happily in love and things seem to be like a fairytale until one day, when Nagasaku Hiromi is diagnosed to have Alzheimer's Disease.  This is a touching love story about how Ogato Naoto struggles to take care of his wife as her mental health gradually disintegrates as the disease sets in and she begins to lose her memory.

Nagase Tomoya is a famous pop star who falls in love and marries a common girl, Takeuchi Yuki.  But he has to keep his marriage secret because his producer, Tsunku, is worried it will affect his career.  Tomoya the singer is very different from Tomoya the husband: the former is a very "kakko ii" idol while the latter is a very "dasai" guy.  Meanwhile, Tomoya also has to deal with problems on the homefront - as Yuki's father is opposed to the match, while one of her sisters is secretly in love with Tomoya herself and the other works for a record company and is a big gossip.

An office comedy starring Hamada Masatoshi and Inamori Izumi as colleagues who end up fighting over issues of principle in the workplace.  The two are always fighting from different standpoints, as Hamada tends to look at things from his heart while Inamori views them with her head.  Meanwhile Yanagiba Toshiro is a business elite that is interested in Inamori.
