who we are |
Who We Are The UP DCF is an organization composed of different dormitory Christian fellowships in the university. We are also affiliated with the UP Christian Community. More than being an organization, UP DCF is a family and here are the four things that make us one: 1. Our salvation (what God has done for us) We believe that, having experienced the mercy and grace of our God through the sacrificial death on the cross and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we are saved from all sins and our broken relationship with God is restored. "You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:26-28 2. Our Purpose (why we exist as an organization) The purpose of UP DCF is to: ASSIST our fellow Christian dormitory residents in their spiritual growth through inter-dorm activities. HELP them grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. SHARE the Gospel of Jesus Christ to each dormer. TEACH and HELP our fellow dormitory residents live a Christ-like life. INCULCATE Christian values not only among members of the organization but also among the university organizations as well. 3. Our Way (how to fulfill our purpose) "I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings."1 Corinthians 9:22-23 We aim to provide venues for fellowship, Bible studies, prayer, and witnessing and equip the members of UP DCF for the work of God. 4. Our Structure We are a fellowship. Our first priority is to keep the unity and peace. We are a family so we must act based on relationships and not on regulations. We are a body. Our focus is not on "maintenance" but on "ministry". |
