14. William Jr., BRECHEEN/BRACKEEN b. 24 Apr 1754, Hanover County, Virginia, m. Bef. 1781, Elizabeth Byrd "Bird" Goslin, b. 1767, (daughter of John GOSLIN (G) and Susan CLAYTON) d. Aft 1855, Palmetto, Marshall County, Tennessee.  William died 10 Mar 1834, Bedford, Marshall County, Tennessee, buried: Pametto, Marshall County, Tennessee.  He married Elizabeth Before 1781 in Revolutionary papers show Before 1794. William began military service on 1 October 1779 at American Revolutionary War, Person County, Tennessee. Elizabeth: There has been some confusion as to whether Elizabeth's name was Birs or Goslin; however with the 1840 Tennessee Census showing "Bird" Brackeen, it rather distinguishes the "Bird" name as a nickname, leaving Goslin as the most likely candidate for her last name.  In fact, it seems reasonable to speculate that the last name of Goslin (Gosling/Goose) could have been the reason for the "Bird" nickname.
