            James Landers was born on July 22, 1975 to Gary and Rena Landers.  James was born in Paris, Lamar 
          County, Texas. James attended grade schools in Paris.

          James was a center throughout high school and as a four year starter in College has been a "shotgun snap"
          which is ideal for Coach Jenkins' offensive system.

          Pro:  James enters his second year of pro football after completing a revolving door of NFL workouts and camps 
          with the Saints, Redskins, Packers, Colts, Jaguars and Cleveland Browns....Coach Jenkins stated that he loves 
          James' background as a shotgun center, which Jenkins has featured primarily with his offenses since 1991.

          College:  James attended Northeast Louisiana University, now known as U. Louisiana-Monroe...James 
          redshirted in 1994 and then was a four year starter at his true center position but also at guard and tackle at
          times due to injuries to other players....He was named to the All-Louisiana team as a senior in 1998 and to 
          the All-Independant team in 1996,1997 and 1998.

          Personal:  Born James Landers on 7/22/75...attended tradition rich Evangel High in shreveport, Louisiana,
          which is regarded as one of the top high school programs in the United States....Was a top weight man in
          track (shotput, discus, javelin) as well as basketball and baseball at Evangel.
