No, you may not challenge Alan and I on any of the preceeding. It's too late, anyway. We printed the lists out. On paper. That's like blood.

AhhhHA-HA!

At the urgent request of my friend Josh (I call it an urgent request, but some legal circles call it a death threat), I have finally completed the last two pages listed to the left. I'm sure you will find them to your liking. In the mean time, I would like to challenge both of my readers to give me some more feedback about what you want to see here. I know I said I didn't care what any of you mortals had to say, but I'm just curious. I'm just asking in a strict master to slave kind of way. Humor me with your opinions, humans.

!UPDATE! Someone - who shall remain nameless - has already tried to call us on the Top 10 Weezer Songs. Someone failed to realize what powers they meddled with. We have thus called this individual out and posted the heresy here:

10. Always
09. My Name Is Jonas
08. The Good Life
07. Pink Triangle/Falling For You [These are actually 2 songs]
06. The World Has Turned

03. El Scorcho
02. Across The Sea
01. Only In Dreams

MIDDLE NAME

04 SEPTEMBER 2002 - 14:36CT

"The Mountain of Dew" - 21 Cans Just On This Side Of The Desk

This is my first excursion into the world of QBasic. I programmed the following and - on its first run - compiled it without a hitch. I am the proud father of a very simple routine. *Sniff*

' Program 0.00
' Isolating Middle Name As Its Own String
' Mike Robertson
' ==============================
CLS
' =========
' Step One: Call for full name, first name, and last name
' =========
INPUT "Full Name (First, Middle, Last) =/>", Full.Name$
INPUT "First Name only =/>", First.Name$
INPUT "Last Name only =/>", Last.Name$
' =========
' Step Two: Determine number of characters in first,
'                       last, and full strings
' =========
First.No = Len(First.Name$)
Last.No = Len(Last.Name$)
Full.No = Len(Full.Name$)
' =========
' Step Three: Find number of letters in middle name
'                          and starting position
' =========
Middle.No = Full.No - First.No - Last.No
Middle.Start = First.No + 1
' =========
' Step Four: Use Mid() function to input middle name
'                       to its own string
' =========
Middle.Name$ = Mid$(Full.Name$, Middle.Start, Middle.No)
PRINT "Middle Name is "; Middle.Name$
END

FIZZIKS

02 SEPTEMBER 2002 - 18:36CT

I enjoy Physics. I'd daresay I love Physics. But if there's one thing on the face of the planet that is capable of killing me - aside from guns, cars, cancer, and the like - it would have to be Physics.

Physics - A Slow Death

I've managed through my workload thusfar, but it hasn't been an easy experience in the least. Even with Alan and I working together, five meager problems are taking us an average of two hours to do per night. Curse this wretched science and its hold on me! Curse it and spit on its grave! Curse! Curse! Curse! Pa-Tooey!

But guess what makes all of this better? Tomorrow, I'm going to debut my brand new Sealab 2021 T-Shirt. Yes, Sealab 2021 as brought to you by the people at Adult Swim. Ha Ha. Ha Ha Ha. HA HA, suckas!

FEEL MY WRATH

26 AUGUST 2002 - 19:00CT

As everyone on this campus returns after a weekend of carousing and lolly-gagging, I'm again faced with the torment of non-connectivity. This network - this devil in an angel's wings - proves its uselessness to me once more. What was once a proud broadband link to the world is now a clogged line of users all tearing and gnashing at a meager 1.0kp/s download. What they use it for, I don't know. I'm fairly certain I'd be happiest not knowing. Regardless of circumstances, sitting here without any means of web browsing stirs my anger to no end!

I Have Wrath (As Indicated By The Menacing Way In Which My Fist Is Clenched)

They keep promising a better line once we've made the trek into our new dorm building. But the reports floating about the rest of campus dishearten me. Even the newest buildings face the same line competition, and they have fewer people on their roster. What hope is there for our eight floors of tenants - even if the building is wired more efficiently? I fear there will be no resolution.

As much as I never thought I'd live to say this, the AOL connection back home is looking faster and faster.
