Obviously, this costume was not for me (although I WOULD like to cross-play someday :D)- I made it for a friend as a gift! An anime enthusiast, his favorite character in RK is Sanosuke (also, their personalities and hairstyles are so alike it's uncanny 0.o)
He dreams someday to wear it to an anime con, as to impress the girls. :P

This costume was made entirely from scratch, using a bathrobe/pajama pants pattern. ^^;; The stripes were iron-fused on and the "aku" sign painted.
My friend did his own hair and wrapped himself with bandages, made of spare fabric. He didn't have the shoes but wore black & white flipflops (although they seem to suit the look). However, according to him the bandages came loose a lot. He wore the whole lot to school on Halloween!
This could have been done better, but the overall look is very nice and he is easily recognizable.
