Bob Quotes: (Tahoe Bonanza)
"If I had filed Chapter 11, the employees wouldn't be paid," DeMaio said. "But I didn't go away. We didn't leave. We just hunkered down. I've been around the block a few times, and know how to survive."

"Hunkered Down"? yeah more like hid out!

"I've been around the block a few times" umm yeah we know bob!

"I know how to survive" translation: I already have a exit plan, and a new invention to get more investors!

Dot1web CEO: issues to be resolved soon

Ha! This Deja-Vu trip is scaring me.

Scumbag Bob has been pulling the "good faith check " routine for years. The "good days ahead soon" hype as well.

Bob's standard MO. Always the same story.

Did it 4 times (embarassing ain't it?) with Internet-Innovations while I was there. Others too no doubt. Got to the point he was FAXing copies of his company checks as *proof* he was sincere. To keep us from dropping his projects.

Of course when the check(s) arrived, they were as bogus as he was. Nothing was happening with the checks, until the detectives knocked on his door.

He's got the money. You just have to take him to court to get it. (like everybody else) - the List:

www.codedog.org/nv/court_actions.htm

This is his business model. And it's working pretty well for him in Nevada.

After the projects are built, Bob claims the business is broke because of blah, blah blah . . and all the worker bees are trashed. (Except for the *necessary* key personel)

The venders & contractors then take Bob to court, where he shows the Dot.bob business has no assets, cash, nothing. They settle for pennies on the dollar. ["A bad settlement is better than a good law suit."]

Bob then steps behing the corporate veil. His personal (gambling fund stash) weath is protected. (He got his already.) See ya next season.

Other states are less tolerant about unethical/unlawful business practices.

Speaking of gambling, here's a reality check:

In true Nevada style, who wants to bet on it?

Anybody who was not critical personal in Bob's current sleazy scams is on NC status. NC = 'nutin comin'

Guaranteed. Double or nothig odds. No Limits.

Nothing personal btw, just following Bob's worn out business plan. Boring really.

Quite the authority aren't you? OK. I'm impressed! : )

FYI: McNamara's wage claim was not only valid, the FINAL ORDER of the Labor Commission's decision was entered into OFFICIAL RECORD.

FINAL ORDER per NVLC result:
$4k in wages plus $6k in fines due McNamara.

In NV, the FINAL ORDER must be stamped by a Judge to be "in effect".

The underhanded stunt the Labor Commission pulled was after 3+ months of waitng his turn on the District Court docket (this is on top of the two years to get there) the Deputy Labor Commissioner jerked the case form the docket.

The NVLC claims there is a clause in the law books that allows a Deputy Labor Commissioner to use ahhh . . . "descretion" whether to prosecute the ORDER through the court.

The real question is, "Why would the Deputy do such a thing?"

I'm not doing all your homework for you.

You will find the answers that you seek @ the www.codedog.org/nv site grasshopper.

that all the non-intelligent comments/personal comments were wiped from this board (you can probably thank the person who posted phone numbers and addresses and who used th F word)......

have legitimate discussions about the legalities and so forth, and you can even voice your opinion, but i think the personal stuff can be kept out of it....anyone who has legitimate claims against bob or the company can find out all they need to know through the proper channels, and accusing him of f****** certain women isn't even relevant to any of this :P

wage claim

"But Patrick McNamara claims the Labor Commission dragged his request for back wages out for two years before killing his claim."

the only reason a commission would "kill" a claim is because it deemed it wasn't valid....

Hmmm....Actually guest, they can always re-open the case, and with the events of recent months, they just may. The invesigation of wage claims, will, from what I am told, be reviewed with all other past claims as well....;) Ah Shucks.

I think I will call and see why the claim was closed......

Letcha all know what they say....

And everyone with a wage claim.........call the labor board and ask them why McNamara's case was closed. Demand that they reconsider their position.

Stir, Stir, Stir

Pay?

Jan-10-03 12:42
Notice in today's Bonanza article that 'Deadbeat Bob' only said he would be calling EMPLOYEES today about paying them. He said absolutely nothing about the 100 or so EX-employees who haven't been paid for over a month or more in many, if not most, cases. Looks like typical Deadbeat DoubleTalk to me.

IF he were going to pay any of us, he would have just told the Bonanza where we should go to get our money, or a phone number to call, or something definitive rather than just more of his 'songs and dances.'

So, keep filing those Labor Commission claims, folks, keep asking the Commission what they're doing, and keep telling everyone you can that nothing has changed with "Deadbeat Bob."

Ok Everyone.....Now how is it, that Mr. Demaio states he has started paying employees back, but the wage claims at the labor board are up to 56 now???

Aren't they supposed to decrease instead of increase?????

personal loans?

I hope Hell has a particularly spiky barstool reserved for these people. What's with this personal-loans-diverted-to-5cent-shares bull%#%? There's something inherently wrong with a company when you give them money for personal loans, so the CEO can buyout outstanding shares. The only thing more indifferent to human suffering than Mother Nature is Dot1Web trying to go on the NASDAQ.

Way back when...Lowestbids had an injuction put against them by the Minnesota State Securities(I believe it was May of 2001)he could not sell any of his DIME SHARES in LOwBall.com-so he told a good majority of the investors that he wanted to buy out all of the investors in Lowestbids.com-to do this he asked them for a "PERSONAL LOAN" which either they could have their monies back with 10% interest after 6 months or shares in the "NEW COMPANY" aka dot1web at 5 cents a share-at this point neither of the two promises are being kept-nobody has recieved their "LOAN MONEY" back and have not recieved their "SHARES" in the "NEW COMPANY" at 5 cents-more promises unkept more promises to break.......

better jobs are out there
guest
Jan-7-03 16:37
Within a week of being let go, I already had a better job, with the same rate of pay, full medical benefits (I paid 10 bucks for a prescription last week) paid vacation, and we actually produce something that people need and use.

No more lie lie lie. One time at dot1web I asked the CEO pipsqueek where our promised health insurance was, and if I should just go buy my own insurance. He lied to me and said "you'll be getting your insurance in a week, they're just busy working on it". This was another lie.

It was a great place to work until their stupid dress code and crazy hours were enforced. I don't know anyone who can work 50+ hours a week in a beautiful place like Tahoe, and still keep their relationships with their loved ones.

Seems like if you want to ruin yourself then go ahead and work work work.

Life is too short --- get a better job. Don't slave away for someone who gets rich riding on the shoulders of others.
