Yes, I will (and have) be sending this url to as many people as I can think of.

What was good ole' Bob's slogan/mantra ... "What the Internet was meant to be"

Well, getting the word out on Dot1 is also what the internet was meant to be....., and will be. Let's all keep the pressure on this guy for as long as we can, even if he does take care of the back pay, investors, etc.

Well folks it looks like the party is over for Dot1Web. Today it appears that the plug was pulled. I just hope for the sake of the former employees that some restitution can be had for them. Hopefully the Federal, State and local agencies will do everything in their power to put some resolve to this horrific, shameful, down right criminal fraudulant scam.

Where did you get that information from? Bob was a Plaintiff and Counter-Defendant, so we don't know who the settlement went to, Bob might have lost but we don't know it didn't say in the article. The only information it told us is that the terms of the settlement are confidential.

Regardless it looks like dot1web is recouping, and the same thing that happened to us will probably happen to his new employees too. Why am I being so pessimistic you might ask? Because it has happened before to a lot of other employees from drive4u, lowestbids and dot1web.

I don't care anymore though dot1web is just a cheese wanna be dot com business that I don't believe will ever get off the ground, and will eventually fade away. If you want to use their service goto it. They're not an ISP that I would recommend to anyone.

P.S I'm still waiting for that pay check that they owe me.

You're right about who made the comment about the settled law suit. Bob does talk a good game and that is part of the reason I invested in .1web.

Here is the irony for me. I am angry with Bob because I invested in the company and I still haven't received the stock certificate or loan money that he promised I would get last year. So I hope he rots in hell for screwing me over. But on the other hand I hope he does make it because there may be a change that I can make some money.

Did he pay any employees with stock? If so, has anyone been able to sell the stock?

In these two law suits Bob is the defendant in one he has a counter claim and both of these cases have been consolidated, in the paper they said that the case was against SKINNER so I assume these must be two of the cases that they where referring to. So I don't think the paper told us everything Sarge. Pull your head out of your ass and take a big whiff of reality, the options that Bob gave you are never going to be worth shit, and Dot1web is never going to go anywhere.

I have to believe what I read in the newspaper. I feel the writer Bonanza has been objective. He has given both sides of the story.

As far as how much I have invested... 8k. Its not much compared to what I have heard others have invested.

I'm glad I found this bulletin board, cuz I definitely will have to change my credit card information to protect myself. I've had to do this once before when a casual friend jotted down my credit info while I was sleeping. Fortunately, I caught that one before it was used to buy stuff on the internet. Anyway, thanks for making me aware of these problems.

I called my cc bank today to dispute my recent billing by webwide. She said that they cannot stop recurring charges, nor does cancellation of the card stop the charges. She said to dispute any additional charges. Calling webwide to drop service or change cards is impossible as the phones are not answered or are eternally busy.

So good luck to all.

Come on everybody we need to hear your stories again. We know that the freedomlist moderator stole a lot of our thunder when they deleted our messages off the board. The new forum has all ready started up, and we need to hear your stories. We want to hear from everybody thats had dealing with Bob Demaio and Dot1web, eg; investors, employees, and customers.

People have very short memories and it won't be long before butthead Bob's back to his old scams. We can help stop him by airing his dirty laundry on the Internet and contacting Dot1web merchants.

It won't be to long before Bob will find new suckers (investors) and a new groups of employees to ripoff, the same way he suckered us and many others before us. Remembers the lies they told us about how the engineers and lawyers tried to take over his company? We know what the real story is now, they never paid them.

So come back and join us! @ http://www.freedomlist.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9390

If you are considering using WebWideISP as your ISP, consider this.

The people running the company are currently involved in many lawsuits, some small, some large. The CEO is known for not paying bills and writing fraudelent checks.

To sign up with this ISP, you must report your credit card number.

Identity theft has been a growing criminal problem throughout our country. Credit Card fraud is quite rampant with internet companies.

Be very careful who you give your credit card number out to.

There is no point in posting any more messages at this forum. They openly admit that they censor speech at this site. So we should continue the fight some where else because we've already seen what their about. My last complaint is if they arn't going to let us talk about Dot1web/WWISP on their site then they shouldn't let anyone. It is absolute garbage when they delete all the messages from the board execpt messages from one or two years ago that say stuff like "WWISP IS GREAT". We don't even know if that person is still using WWISP and what would he say about WWISP now. Basicly we need to move to another forum. Freedomlist is nothing but a whore.

DOT1WEB EMAIL NOT SECURE
someone who knows
Jan-11-03 22:15
Secure HTTP was never implemented in their e-mail system.

They do not use HTTPS, but rather the insecure, plaintext HTTP protocol.

If you use WebWideISP Email, you will notice in your browser's address bar that they never use HTTPS. If you view the HTML Source, you can search on HTTPS and find nothing.

This means anyone with a packet sniffer on your network or dot1web's can view your "private" mail with no problems.

Keep in mind that .1web hires RANDOM people and there are known CROOKS working at that business. Do you trust your privacy to these individuals.

It appears that Freedomlist.com is not a forum for the truth but a forum that has lowered itself to promote fraudulant isp's. Why with all the proof of the employees, the investors, the local papers, the court dockets from 4 states would a forum like this delete truthfull information? Is the Freedomlist afraid of somebody? Sure looks that way, doesn't it?

Webwide ISP is the best ISP that I have seen for a long time. Its fast connection, friendly and fast online tech support and user friendly interface, makes this one of the most desireable ISP's.

Add to it the $6.25 /month and you have, unmatching quality. New people you should try this and you will not be sorry.

Thank you folks at Webwide and on for more achievements.

"It is great. Realtime bidding in auctions as well as a organizer that works wireless."

Take a look at all the auctions on there <a href="http://www.lowestbids.com">site</a> they are all fake auctions. All of the auctions on their site are just $1 dollar below the sellers asking price. The Dot1web bar is s cheezey program that only works with IE5.5 or higher, and does not work with an wireless devices! This whole company is a fraud all you have to do is scratch just alittle below the surface to find out.

Dec-10-02 13:03
I've been using Webwide ISP for about 5 months now. I have never had any major problems. Twice one of my local access numbers was down but I have 6 to choose from. No problem. I still cant beleive that there are people out there paying 20 some odd bucks a month for dial up access. Either they haven't done their homework, or they're just plain stupid. I used to have NetZero's 9.95 a month access. It was a joke. They sent me a letter after 2 months stating that the cost of telecommunications in my area was too expensive and they would have to cancel my account. They suck! United Online customers are paying too much. 9.95 for a banner at the bottom of your screen and a stupid TV that you have to stare at when dialing in... I don't think so. I'll take 6.95 a month for unlimited access.
