We have been betrayed!

It appears that Freedomlist.com is not a forum for the truth but a forum that has lowered itself to promote fraudulant isp's. Why with all the proof of the employees, the investors, the local papers, the court dockets from 4 states would a forum like this delete truthfull information? Is the Freedomlist afraid of somebody? Sure looks that way, doesn't it?

I was appalled to see all the postings and information that has been deleted from this discussion in the last few days. I was also appalled to see posts from what appear to be shills for dot one web with their complementary testimonials. This whole thing is obviously a sham. Ah, well.

Is this a place where a person has the freedom to discuss isp's in the total truth? I don't think so!

Webwide ISP is the best ISP that I have seen for a long time. Its fast connection, friendly and fast online tech support and user friendly interface, makes this one of the most desireable ISP's.

Add to it the $6.25 /month and you have, unmatching quality. New people you should try this and you will not be sorry.

Thank you folks at Webwide and on for more achievements.

All, I used to work in Engineering for Dot1Web until they laid us ALL off a week ago. Yesterday, they finally locked the doors to the business. All employees have not been paid for 2-3 weeks and many of their paychecks are still bouncing at the bank. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I just downloaded their free Webbar. It is great. Realtime bidding in auctions as well as a organizer that works wireless. This is a great tool. I think it really compliments their ISP

"It is great. Realtime bidding in auctions as well as a organizer that works wireless."

Take a look at all the auctions on there site they are all fake auctions. All of the auctions on their site are just $1 dollar below the sellers asking price. The Dot1web bar is s cheezey program that only works with IE5.5 or higher, and does not work with an wireless devices! This whole company is a fraud all you have to do is scratch just alittle below the surface to find out.

WEBWIDE ISP IS GREAT

I've been using Webwide ISP for about 5 months now. I have never had any major problems. Twice one of my local access numbers was down but I have 6 to choose from. No problem. I still cant beleive that there are people out there paying 20 some odd bucks a month for dial up access. Either they haven't done their homework, or they're just plain stupid. I used to have NetZero's 9.95 a month access. It was a joke. They sent me a letter after 2 months stating that the cost of telecommunications in my area was too expensive and they would have to cancel my account. They suck! United Online customers are paying too much. 9.95 for a banner at the bottom of your screen and a stupid TV that you have to stare at when dialing in... I don't think so. I'll take 6.95 a month for unlimited access.

WW ISP is great. I signed up and within 5 minutes I was online. Great Real time customer service online. After terrible experience with Talent Group (don't sign up!!), WWISP is refreshing, and for $6.95 a month you can't beat it.

tech support asleep!

Dec-31-02 15:38
I have been cruising for a new ISP, so went to WWISP's signup page. Since I had questions not anwered there, like, what kind of speeds can I expect with my V.92? is tech support available by phone?, and, etc., and even though I waited a lengthy time, I never received a response. Live Instant Help? I think not. They must have been asleep! I have always had immediate help by phone with any ISP I've had, so what do people do when they need help with WWISP? If they normally answer promptly, what does one do when there are connectivity issues? I sent an e-mail to the address posted on this site to ask my questions, but it was returned with the message that the user was unknown. With this many problems all ready, I can't wait to sign up to experience the difficulties I would have then! You get what you pay for, comes to mind.

WEB ISP
AC
Oct-12-02 18:40
We are currently using the WEB ISP service it's a part of the dot1web company. The first month was reduced to 5.95 for new members when we joined, don't know if it is still that price now though. I had some trouble getting online at first. The customer service was so amazing though. I wasn't even mad about the small problems getting set up- it was not even an issue to me in the end. They gave me a toll free number, I talked to the reps a couple of times and both times they answered on the first ring. I had never gotten good service from the high priced ISP's I had in the past so this was a shock....In the end what it boiled down to was my DUN from good old oh so predictable Microsoft (can you tell I like windows-not) speaks a different language that the DUN WEB ISP developed to connect to their network. No biggie, small file to download and away I went cruising the internet. I also like their DUN tool because if a new number comes available to dial up to I can click a button and keep up to date on them. I have yet to not get online with the first attempt. Connections are excellent where I have just built my house I am impressed....I figured the distance from the CO and likely bridge taps to get out in my neck of the woods would be a connection nightmare. Not the case. I guess both are better than one would expect to get such reliable connections. I would recommend.

30 August 02 FYI:
Emailed customer service at CSR@lowestbidscorp.com (Lowestbids is parent company)

Asked if their software was mandatory.

Their reply, "Our software is a mandatory requirement."
According to their FAQ, their software is 60mgs by download or disk.

WebBar is sooo Fat ...
Dot1Chub
Jan-22-03 19:52
that it cripples your system.

Downloading WebBar only takes 3 minutes (6MB) but it ALSO
requires you to install MS .NET Framework, which takes
over 2.5 HOURS (160MB!) on a 56k modem.

If you don't already have Windows XP installed, or the
Dot1web CD, then be prepared for a very long, frustrating,
crippling, debilitating process. All this just to watch auction
data happening in real-time.
Why not just hit the 'refresh' button?
Why not have an auction page refresh itself, with five auctions
in five windows?
If you're gonna go ga-ga, do it in la-la land.

Never has so little been done by so much software.
Be warned.

Dot1waist of time
Jan-22-03 21:45
I thought the bid bar was a worthless piece of software too. Not only that but 99% of their auctions look fake to me, but don't take my word for it go look for yourself and I know you'll come to the same conclusion. Lowestbids.com looks like trash, their auctions are never ending. I've seen the same auctions for sale on that site for months now. None of their buyers or sellers have ratings thats if they are even real, also I have major doubts about the auction items too, it all just looks fake to me. Also for some reason a lot of their auctions have bids on them that look like this $99,999,999.00. My best advice is don't even waist your time with Dot1web or lowestbids.com Inc.

P.S. Any one want to buy a wooden leg http://snurl.com/mlt ? You'll find that and a lot more worthless garbage at lowestbids.com

Conflicting Infomation Regarding Software
Boz
Sep-3-02 09:44
Based on this "Live Instant Help" conversation of 26 Aug 2002, the software is NOT required:

Kevin_CSR: hello boz...
Kevin_CSR: welcome to the .1web network
Boz: Hi. If I sign up for your service, do I have to use the software, or can I set up the connection manually?
Kevin_CSR: i think a few people have just used connection wizard to connect ot our service...
Kevin_CSR: but we will only support our software
Kevin_CSR: so i you can do both...
Boz: Okay, I just wanted to make sure that it was acceptable to NOT use the software, understanding the support is limited to the software.
Boz: Thank you.
Kevin_CSR: okay

I guess before anyone signs up, this information needs to be reverified!
