just got into work less than an hour ago. man, the ataris show was great. mostly free, but great as well. i missed english and math in the process, but it's a small price to pay for a free show.....wait...what a funny oxymoron-ish thing. anyways, the show was on hayden lawn about a quarter after 12. went on for about an hour. about half the songs they played were off their new album that just came out yesterday and as usual they ended it with their traditional closing song. what's neat about it is that they get fans from the crowd to play the guitar for them during it. it's good times. overall, it was a pretty big show. i saw ppl i hadn't seen in quite a while and a couple ppl who *ahem* should've been back at their OWN skool aka mr. wong & mr. tsao. after the show, there was a huge line to meet the ataris and get stuff signed by them. i tagged along with brandon and herbie's entourage and we all waited in the blistering heat. we originally were in the back of a line that stretched the entire length of hayden lawn. however, thanks to one of their friends being up in the front we got to sneak in up there. turns out that friend is ms. teen arizona which in turn caught the attention of one of the guys making a dvd documentary type thing for the ataris. yep, we got a little blurb in it where they yell 'the ataris rule.' i was in the back poking my head out, back and forth cuz everyone was in my way. ah...another 15 min of fame. just like when dan and me were on 'the craig kilborn show'....in the audience, but still the backs of our heads were on NATIONAL TV! WHOAAA! superstar! haha.

hot hot hot! a new ad on autotrader! it's a blue/green 1995 nissan 240sx se w/ 5-spd and only 66k mi! AI YAH! sadly, it's in tucson and i don't exactly have the $8,700 to cough up for it. i'll said it before and i'll say it again, being poor sux.

gas price watch - with gas prices being a tad bit on the expensive side, i'm sure this link would help everyone in their search for cheap gas. just put in your area code and you're given a list of gas prices within your area. you're welcome.

here's a funny, "heartwarming" picture:

song of the moment: the ataris - "in this diary"
and for old times sake, their new single.

03.04.03 / 2:39 pm
hey! the ataris are going to be playing at asu tomorrow! free show! wheeee! however, no clue what time it starts at, but it's gonna be at the hayden lawn. anyways, tonight i have to meet up with my partner in chinese for our skit on thursday. gheyness. that means i'll end up missing 'smallville.' *sigh* the sacrifices i make for skool. ~oi

ebaums world - got this from josh. great way to kill time. haha so funny. great flash cartoons such as => bang bang bang.

song of the moment: rufio - "in my eyes"

today's date is quite interesting. all three's. how funny. anyways, had an alright weekend (as usual).

friday - was pretty busy at work, but only had an hour to finish it all since i'd go over my 40 hr limit if i worked any more. at the last minute, i get to make a delivery down to 27th street and washington. luckily, the 'delivery ppl' hadn't made their last delivery yet so i didn't have to do it. came home early and just played cs and stuff. that night i didn't go to abf, but instead went and saw 'cradle 2 the grave.' was supposed to go with david, but he got stuck out in mesa so dan and don came. ran into nico and sam before the movie. it's been a while since i've seen nico and sam. i <3 those kids. anyways, after the movie we went to the bethel house thing cuz bobby was there. apparently there was some high skool lock-in going on so dan and me felt quite out of place. thus, we forced bobby to leave with us. jon showed up and we all went to in-n-out for a bite to eat. we ended up talking about the most random stuff. it went from good movies to bruce lee and other random stuff.

saturday - woke up around 9 for some reason. i mean, i went to sleep at 2am the night before and i figured that i'd be able to sleep till about....at least 11am, but that didn't end up happening. so i got up and watched yu-gi-oh. then just played cs and did some chores till about 2, when i went to work out with brian. afterwards i went home and cleaned up, got online and looked for stuff to do that night. i tried finishing up 'pulp fiction', but kept going off and doing other stuff. later on i picked up caroline and went to the mall. met up with heidi and wandered around. bobby showed up a little later and we went to visit brian at his work, job, cart, whatever you call it. those disc gear things he was selling weren't too hot. after visiting brian, we went to see 'old skool.' dan was already there with don, josh, and *names of other kids* (i'm lazy). when the movie was over we all just went home. man, for the past couple saturdays i've been home pretty early, about 10-11. wow, i'm a good kid.

sunday - church as usual. the guest speaker was a funny man, but apparently the guy sitting behind me found him MUCH more funny as he laughed aloud and when i mean aloud i stress aLOUD. for sunday skool, pastor derek teaches our class now. it's an interesting change of pace i'd have to say. for lunch, we went to wendy's.....again *sigh* everyweek....anyways, after lunch bobby wanted to go to best buy so we all headed down there. at the cell phone display, one of the phones ACTUALLY worked so i tried calling maine (you know who you are). unfortunately, it only makes local calls so there just a mass onslaught of calling each other's cell phones to the point it got annoying. then we found the 'speaker' phone feature on the cell and we called it. as usual, we make it a point to make bobby embarassed so brian starts calling out bobby's name....very loudly. haha i love how bobby gets embarassed so easily. when we finished up at best buy, all of us went to target cuz bobby also wanted to get some 'haircutting' supplies of some sort. i got a white cherry icee which was yummy. then i filled up the cup with orange soda and added half-and-half to make dan's famous orangesicle/cream soda. mmm so next time you get soda, get orange and add lotsa half-and-half. it's good stuff. haha. everyone except bobby went back to my house and just chilled there for a while. i ended up playing zelda 64 and beating gannon cuz dan tried, but got sick of it and that left me wanting to see the ending again. so i beat it. not a very hard last boss. then around 6 we went to ra near amc 24 for annie's b-day thing. mmm 4 pieces of sushi for 9 dollars. i'm sucha baller. haha. good times and now i think we're going to cali for spring break. that should be fun.

saw a total of TWO movies. 'cradle 2 the grave' and 'old skool.' ~oi 'cradle 2 the grave' gets more and more disappointing the more i think about it. the good stuff: jet li beats up a lot of ppl, KELLY HU, black ppl ; bad stuff: dmx, extremely predictable movie. now it's not that i dislike dmx or anything, but his performance in the movie was less than spectacular. that little 'angels' prayer was pretty corny, at one point he ran up a wall and did a backflip, and as dan said, "it was just like a ruff ryders (music) video." pretty sad. "old skool" however was actually quite the entertaining movie. in fact, it's one of the better movies i've seen in a while. i'd definitely recommend seeing this movie. so in summary i'd like to give my own system of ratings:

cradle 2 the grave -
2/5 finger(s)

old skool -
4/5 finger (s)

song of the moment: sarina paris - "so i wait"
happy happy joy joy song

03.01.03 / 4:04 pm
wow it's march already. jeez...2 more weeks and spring break is here! yeah! it's the ONLY sort of vacation/holiday thing during second semester so i'm glad that it's coming up. sadly, the week before spring break all hell breaks loose, mid-terms. i better get crackin' since i haven't read my micro econ book since chapter 2 and we're supposed to be on chapter 8 by now. however, other than that i suppose all other classes are under control. i took a quiz in math on friday over that weeks hw and i feel i did ok as opposed to the last hw quiz. i guess it's cuz i actually did the hw BEFORE the quiz so that i understood what was on it. oh well, i guess i better start studying before i fall behind (if i'm not considered fallen behind and what not)

i just noticed that this is the first time that i've wrote in here on a saturday.

i was just catching up on the current strong bad emails on homestarrunner. hehe strong bad is so funny.

song of the moment: dj encore feat. engelina - "i see right through to you"

been a slow couple days. skool and work have been going by the same as usual. nothing new there. oh, but last weekend i finally washed my car....and then it started raining ALL WEEK! *sigh* how sad. well, at least it's more clean than it has been for the past couple months. hm me and that dirt on the car have been through a lot together though. it was a good couple months. wait. no. the dirt made my car look dirty. ew i'm glad that bastard is gone. anyways, i'm just glad it's thursday again cuz that means it's gonna be friday tomorrow.

omg omg omg omg omg!!!! 1000+hp r32 skyline gt-r for only $22,500!!!!! AHHHH!!!!!!! *sigh* being poor is about this much fun => X_x

i need to start getting back into the gym or at least do some form of exercise as i've been somewhat sick lately and unable to. *ugh* being sick is no fun plus, i'm getting chunky. CHUNKY! LIKE PEANUT BUTTER! hm i guess i'll find something to do in the meantime. that something sadly is just counterstrike. yeah i'm a bum, but what's worse is that i only play against bots cuz my dumb computer isn't hooked up to the internet. however, i think that'll change in a couple weeks.

hmmm....twins...i've seen one of their music videos and bobby claims one of them looks better than the other, but...i can't really tell.

weekend: 2 b-day parties and 1 japanese festival. how's that for exciting?

mmm new 1995 nissan 240sx on autotrader right now and this other 1995 240 for $5,800. sadly, they are both in tucson and cost more money than i currently have. *sigh* i need to stop spending so much on other dumb stuff like eating out all the time so i can get $5,800 =P which reminds me of an interesting quote i saw in a car forum today:

"My girlfriend complained to me the other day saying, "you spend more on your car than you do on me." I replied, "If I got to drive you everyday I would spend alot on you too."

finally able to play cs on my computer. still no internet though which means i'm just playing bots for now, slowly trying to get better. good times though.

song of the moment: norah jones - "don't know why"
the big winner at last nights grammy awards. the songs hella chill.

02.20.03 / 12:09 pm
at work again just bummin' it. i did my chinese skit thingy in class today. it went ok. didn't forget my lines, etc., but apparently i didn't speak enough according to my commie teacher. whatever. she can go to a communist reeducation/labor camp for all i care. yes, today is thursday. that means tomorrow is friday, which means the weekend is almost hear. yay! hooray weekend! next semester i think i wanna do what janson did his sophomore year, have all classes on tuesday and thursday. hehe. that means i can have a four-day weekend EVERY WEEK! hmmm and then i can work mwf...sounds so good. hm that also means i should get a new job soon. i might have to start paying for the internet service each month now if my parents decide that they don't want it anymore. so on top of the cell phone bill and future car insurance payments, it seems like i'm going to need a little bit more than i'm getting right now. *sigh* growing up is no fun. at least not the part about responsibility and all that. well, at least i can drive, go to r-rated movies, vote, get charged as an adult in a crime, buy cigarettes and gamble at indian casinos now. sadly, less than half those options appeal to me. anyways, need new job soon. must start looking.

because i <3 you

japanese ppl come up with the craziest stuff....such as how to become invisible

neishlin motors - seems like a nice place to get an engine-swap. even if it isn't, at least the website is well done.

did anyone see joe millionaire on monday? crazy stuff. man, he must be quite the lucky guy. not only did he manage to get the girl, BUT the producers of the show GAVE THEM 1 MILLION DOLLARS! ~oi and to think, you get rewarded for deceiving ppl like that. guys sure do think of crazy ways of pickin' up girls lately. for example, in 'daredevil' a friendly coversation turns violent between matt murdock (daredevil) and elektra. in the end, she is impressed and finds him interesting. now, if i had known picking fights with girls was a way to meet them, boy....yeah. haha jeez, if i seem to comprehend it this way, how are the youth of america taking all this in? there must be TONS of playground fights between little boys and girls. haha. anyways, i saw american idol last night. dang that's some funny stuff. they showed some pretty crappy ppl. for example, keith who sang madonna's - "like a virgin." haha or the chubby, gay black guy who had the sides of his jeans cut with random holes and safety pins in his shirt. oh man, pretty freakin' flamin' and so touchy. he acts like a woman. man, that show is so funny.

dan and me took this quiz when we were in cali. i forgot to post the score so i took it again. i'm "HeLLa AzN, y0!" =P :

I scored a 71% on the "HoW AzN aRe YoU??" Quizie! What about you?

hey all. not much happening on this end. the weekend was alright. kinda slow, like usual, but it was ok. friday night, i went to abf and they had a scavenger hunt thing going. killed about an hour doing that and then had to play a game where you had to find the gummy bear in a bowl of flour "bobbing for apples" style. it was messy as hell and my face was covered in flour when i was done. one thing i shouldn't have done was probably try to blow away the flour. ~oi it got in my eyes and made them all red. i probably wouldn't have resorted to that had someone ACTUALLY put a gummy bear in my bowl. unfortunately i scoured that bowl for a minute or two until i realized there was no gummy bear in my bowl. that was fun. the best part was when ur done and you have all the flour in ur mouth. it starts mixing with your saliva and kinda forms a dough in your mouth. mmm good eatin'. after abf, met up with everyone at church and we went to tgi fridays. i think i'd prefer to go there from now on or at least try not to go to applebee's so much. going there every week got old real fast. anyways, just ate and chilled there. nothing much happened after that. just went home early again. saturday...what did i do? umm..oh yeah i was home for the first half of the day as usual. then bobby came over and we went to get our haircut at the place near the old lee lee's. DO MAH! =P and as usual, bobby feels that the quality of his haircut is not up to par to which HE says, "DO MAH!" surprising, huh? anyways, after that we went to brian's house and picked him up to go workout. worked out, went home, cleaned up, and left again to go see 'daredevil.' then on sunday, went to church and then had to keep bobby occupied for 2 hours while brian got everything together for bobby's surprise party thing. so dan, bobby, and me went to fry's electronics and i got a cable router while i was there. yes! now i can have internet access for the computer in my room. i'll be the biggest bum ever! haha yeah, so we got to kiwanis a little late, but yeah whatever. we sat around waiting for all the nw kids to show up, but someone locked their keys in their car (i didn't hear who, good job btw ^_^ ). we tried starting up a football game at kiwanis, but couldn't use the field due to it being all jacked up according the park ranger/maintenance guy. sooooooooo we just went to hanger park. *ugh* i'm tired of writing so i'll give you the abridged version. got to park, played football, nw kids finally get there, play another game of football, leave. didn't go to hotel cuz i had to study for a stupid econ test the next day and that was my weekend.

i checked out asu's career services site and i came up with this interesting job. it's for teaching english to kids in taiwan. hm i kinda like that idea. the site stated the pay would be around $17-18 US/hr i think. not bad. plus, you get to live in taiwan for a year. in fact, they said you didn't even need to know chinese. oh well, i'm sure it doesn't hurt to know some. so maybe i could go off to taiwan for a year and teach english. anyways, here's the site => schoolhouse language center

it's like a hot or not for cars. rate whether the car is ghetto, do mah, riced out or actually a decent looking car at rice or nice

i saw 'daredevil' this weekend and i'd just like to say that, for a comic book movie, it didn't do to well. especially now since 'spiderman' kinda set a standard for this genre. i mean, the previews looked really cool for 'daredevil', but now that i think about it, a majority of the good scenes were in the preview already so don't really expect anything new. the fight scenes were ok, i guess. ben affleck isn't the best guy to be used for an action movie like this. he's kinda awkward and his movements are jerky. not really smooth at all, but then again the choreography could've been the problem. there were a lot of times when he'd just kinda stand with arms interlocked with electra during their first fight. the time spent waiting for each attack was kinda long and made the fight look VERY choreographed, choppy, and unrealistic. it reminded me of 'parappa the rappa' with the whole "punch-kick-block" deal when he goes to learn martial arts. as for the story, i wasn't really familiar with the story of 'daredevil.' that as well could've attributed to why i didn't really like it much. i mean, i watched the 'spiderman' cartoon and i read some of the comics so i had an idea of what was going on with 'spiderman', but for 'daredevil' i only knew what little i had gathered from the tidbits i'd read from here or there. so yeah only go see 'daredevil' if ur a hardcore 'daredevil' fan or...like ben affleck/jennifer garner or something.

skool's been alright lately. i got back the math test i took last week. 92/100. not bad and now i have a 92% in the class. on friday however, i took a quiz on the one hw section that i forgot to do. i had no clue what was going on and just bs'd it. eh who cares? i still have a 92% in class and it was only a quiz. chinese is chinese. i didn't go yesterday morning since it was president's day and i figured since i didn't have the ENTIRE day off skool, i might as well miss something. this week i have one of those oral presentations that require a partner. i find these to be easier due to the fact that i have someone up there with me and that it's pretty simple, day-to-day stuff rather than retarded subjects like....credit cars and...flight delays. micro econ i took the first test yesterday. i didn't do a whole lot of studying for it as it was incredibly boring just trying to read over my notes. plus, i'm sure it didn't help going over them right before i was going to sleep. whatever, i just hope i at least did DECENT on it. oh and last friday was the last day to turn in the first hw assignment. i finished it a couple days before, but i didn't have time to go turn it in at the labs which operate at random hours in odd locations on campus. well, i planned on going in before skool to turn it in, but it slipped my mind. after chinese i go to class and wait outside until 10.30 when i finally realize that the lab closes at 10.30. i make a mad dash down to the lab in the basement of the business administration building. by the time i got there, it was 10.40 or so...luckily they were nice enough to still take it and so i learned not to procrastinate till the last minute....on micro econ hw that is. everything else is still 'procrastinate-able' if that's even a word. finally, english. i haven't had class since last wednesday. friday's class got canceled all of a sudden and yesterday was a 'research' day which means 'no class.' yeah, skool is tons of fun right now. only 4 more weeks till spring break.

song of the moment: outkast - "so fresh and so clean"
walking to my car, the song popped into my head. the worst part is that i was trying to figure out how to translate it into chinese >.< hey, but at least i kinda got the chorus down.

song of the moment: nerf herder - "love sandwich"
goofy song connecting love and sandwiches. not sure if u'd actually wanna hear it though.

02.13.03 / 2:05 pm
guess what time i woke up today? 6:30am! I NEVER WAKE UP AT 6:30AM! stupid math test. i should've just taken it today after work. *sigh* and guess what time i left the house. 7:30AM! the same time i normally wake up! yeah if it isn't obvious, i could use a nap right now cuz i'm cranky. sadly, i'm at work once more. i've just been surfing the internet the majority of the day. as for skool today, i only had chinese. it was one of those pointless days where we were supposed to have a quiz, but she ended up going off on so many tangents that she never gave it to us. *sigh* i should've just gone to take my math test during chinese today so i could've woken up at a less stress-inducing time. ya know, even the bible hints towards the evils of the number 6 and how 7 > 6. wow, the bible even justifies why i shouldn't wake up before 7am =P

found a picture of a really nice looking hachiroku, ae86, corolla gt-s, whatever you wanna call it online today:

mmm sexy blue 1995 nissan 240sx. aftermarket lsd, clutch, etc. plus it's got gold rims so it's got the whole 'subaru sti' theme goin on. pretty slick and only $7,800. too bad it's in southern california. could this be another opportune moment for...A ROAD TRIP?! hehe. hm either way, i've determined that i'd only be able to spend about $7-8k on a car by the end of the year. that is if i stay with my current job. getting that bank job will only help increase my budget. thinking about only throwing down around $5k for a 1995 though. for s13 (coupe, not fastback) probably $3,500 at the most since i'm not really looking for one, but ya take what ya get. so with that, it leaves me with some money leftover to....*hehehe* fix-up the car a little.

song of the moment: s.h.e. - "beauty up my life"
title of the song seems kinda "engrish-y", but it's a catchy song.

02.12.03 / 4:28 pm
oOo today is a cloudy day. i like cloudy days mostly because they're a nice change of pace. always sunny hear, ya know? not like i don't like sunny days, but after getting 300+ days of sun a year, ya think it'd be nice to see something else. in fact, it's so cloudy that it's raining now. hoo-ray rain! *done in red stripe beer fashion* moving along, at skool today did my oral presentation in chinese. for some reason, i can manage to memorize it ok before i go up, but when i get up there i forget random parts and i trip over my own words. ~oi i hate speaking in front of the class. whatever, it's over with now. YAY! all the other classes were jus "eh." microecon i always seem to completely zone out the second half of class and just day dream away. it's fun. like the other day i just suddenly thought of "aladdin", the disney version, and more specifically the "a whole new world" musical sequence. what's kinda spooky about this though is that later that night i saw a commercial for disneyland and it had the "a whole new world" song in the background. mmhmm i almost died of amazement due to the coincidence. hm an amazingly random tangent. random like today when i was walking to my car, i just couldn't get "potato salad" out of my head. maybe it's cuz i hadn't eaten lunch yet. or like when i listen to a song in the car and it's so good it gives me goosebumps....or it must be the fact that i had the a/c on pretty high. anyways, english was alright. we did the same thing as usual. just talked about random current events and then he let us out early. i like that class, but apparently he says he grades papers like, "a sonuvab*tch." his words exactly. haha my english teacher rocks. math was just a waste of time. i don't even know why i even went today. it was a review day for stuff i pretty much already know so i should've just gone to work early so i can start an hour later tomorrow thus giving me time to take my math test after skool. *sigh* now i have to go to skool early which means i have to wake up early which means i have to sleep early or else SOMEONE'S GOING TO DIE!!....not really, but i'm just so cranky in the morning when i don't get enough sleep. well, "a niggaz gotta do wut a niggaz gotta do."

here's pics of shirts that i want to buy. gotta luv the ghetto honda ricers.
