~oi today felt like THE longest day eveeeeeeer. stupid work. i think that it feels like time passes slower when you're actually doing work. yes, me. doing work. wtf? seriously, if there's one thing i don't normally do at work, it's work. funny. the other day as i was sitting in my cubicle surfing the net as usual, my "hagrid-lookalike" supervisor walks says, " really wants those boxes out as soon as possible so as a warning 'they've' noticed you clicking on your mouse a lot everytime they walk by and you do a lot of typing. i dunno if you're talking to someone online or whatever, but try to keep it...*this is where i just zoned out and just nodded a lot*." haha so after a full YEAR AND HALF 'hagrid' finally decides to talk to me about my excess internet surfing. wow, they're quick. so after wondering how i can get around this nonsense, i figured i now should just alt+tab around instead of using the mouse as much. however, the first thing i did was type as loud and fast as i possibly could for two straight days so they got used to hearing me type. today i just started alt+tab'ing around and if i need to use the mouse i try to mask the sound somehow. usually i just run my fingers across the keyboard making a clicky noise. hmm...actually i really don't care if they catch me not doing work again. i plan to quit soon anyways. this job = wack.
yesterday i went to my econ final review. it started at 2pm and that's when i got off work so i knew i was gonna be slightly late so i didn't park in lot 59 as usual, but instead went over to the gammage lot. yes, technically i'm not allowed to park there till after 4pm, but i didn't really care since i just wanted to get to the review session asap. so i go to the review thing and it's only an hour or so long. when i get back to my car those asu parking nazis ticketed me. i'm not sure what would happen if i didn't pay for it so when i went to pick up my parking sticker thing (which btw cost $210 *sigh*) i paid for that ticket. so after realizing what it took to earn that 20 bux and what else i could buy with it, i figured that i now feel obligated to take that $20 back somehow from asu. now all i have to do is figure out something worth $20 to steal OR cause $20 worth of damage to asu property. yep, that'll make me feel better alright =P
this video = good times. i am a cucumber!

ah *sigh of relief* today was the last day of classes. however, that doesn't mean the stress levels have gone down. i calculated my grade in math and i found out even if i get a 100% on my final, i get a B. then i noticed i was missing a hw assignment that i'm sure i did. so i'll probably talk to my teacher and tell her she missed it. if i didn't really do it then i'll just do it now and give it the usual check marks with a red pen to make it seem like it was graded. as for econ, i went to the lab last night and finished the hw. i kinda got a better understanding of it now. tomorrow is the final review though so that's definitely something i'm going to. plus, it'll give me time to go pick up my parking sticker thing for next semester. in chinese today i thought we were going over stuff from the book that's gonna be on the final, but it turns out lao shi switched up the schedule on the syllabus which means we did the review from the book yesterday. so the presentations i planned on ditching yesterday were actually today. luckily, since it was the last day, ppl brought food in and it was distracting. this in turn slowed down the rate at which ppl went to do their presentations meaning there were some who still haven't done it yet. that means that i can write mine up sometime this week and then do it on the day of the final and still get points for it. so for the rest of the week it's pretty much gonna be me studying a lot (or at least i plan to). in an effort to keep up with this, i plan to stay off aim all week. *GASP* yes, skool = important and i can't mess it up right now so no more aim (for this week).
this weekend i plan on going job hunting. a short list of places i plan on applying to would include wells fargo, bankone, etc. basically any bank, and then discount tire. i know that the bank jobs will pay more and they might cover part of my tuition for skool, but discount tire seems to be a job i'd actually be interested in doing as opposed to being forced to stand behind a counter, dress up, and then cater to the customers every whim. i mean, discount tire gives me the opportunity to work with cars and learn more about them. plus, you get the awesome title of "grease monkey." so at the end of the day, you hands are dirty and black, but at least it's worthwhile and feels like your day didn't go to waste. i'll admit though, the pay there is somewhat dismal. they start at $8.50, which is already better than my current job, but doesn't compare to what you get from any bank job. also, work at discount tire = discounts on wheels and tires so when i start messin' around with the 240, it won't be as costly. moreover, i can hook ppl up with cheap prices too and hook-ups = connections. oh well, decisions decisions.

so...since the last entry, here's what happened:
thursday - i woke up at 7am so i could call into sundial (the asu phone system) and try to get a parking space for next semester. unfortunately, i was half asleep and repeatedly hitting the redial button till it went through. that took about 40 min. and then i quickly typed in all my info and got my first choice parking lot. bad part is that it costs $210. yeah, it's communism, but it'll save me a buttload of time not taking the daily half-mile walk from lot 59. other than that i was just sick all day again. it was pretty gay. no wait, actually it wasn't too bad. i only felt like utter crap in the morning before i was about to go to skool. my mom says i wasn't looking too good so i check the temperature and it was 100.4 so i just stayed home. that made me feel a lot better cuz i wasn't looking forward to going to skool and work. plus, feeling like crap drains any sort of motivation in me to do a lot of anything. so i ditched chinese and then called in sick to work. afterwards i just sat on the computer all morning and then went to the doctor in the afternoon. by night time i was all better. wtf? so weird. then it was back to studying and hw as usual.
friday - did the whole skool and work routine. ditched math and went to work early so i could get out of work early to go get my haircut. it was getting long enough to the point where it'd either take forever to get it to stay up or i would just get lazy and wouldn't do it at all. so after work, i went to get my haircut and then came home. bummed around the house and planned to go to see x2, but heard the lines were too long so i dropped that idea. then i just met up w/ don, josh, and andy at don/josh's house. i ended up just playing cs for a while and sucking as usual. dan and bwee showed up and andy went home so we all went out. drove around for a while and just chilled at the playground near the community pool. didn't do much that night. oh well.
saturday - from 11am - 6pm i was at one of our houses in gilbert helping to clean it up. i learned the value of hardwork and now feel that spoiled, rich ppl = fei chang wack. also, i have a newfound respect for those mexicans who do this for a living cuz it was the most monotonous drudgery yet for some reason i didn't mind as much as i usually do. so yes, by the end of the day i got that sense of accomplishment i rarely feel. then i saw "x2" that night with dan, don, josh, and andy. omg, that movie was soooooo good. you cannot comprehend how good it is until you see it for yourself. wolverine = my hero. actually, he was always my hero ever since my 'comic book nerd'-days. anyways, the plot was good, the addition of more of the x-men was awesome, wolverine finally flips out and kills ppl (which i think was the best part), kelly hu = so hot right now, etc etc. the movie was just so good for so many reasons. all i can say is go see it yourself. after the movie, met up with bobby and brian and went to in n' out. chilled, ate, and then went home.
sunday - went to church this morning. i was tired and didn't really feel like being there. i wish church started later like dan's church. i hate waking up early. i think i might just convert to what dan calls "koreanism" and go to dan's church since it starts later. seriously, i'm getting sick of waking up early on sunday mornings. i remembered old church in cali started at like 1pm. it was tight. *sigh* oh well. anyways, somebody kept calling me during service and i thought it was an emergency of some sort so i went out twice just to call back the number, but everytime i tried the number was busy so i got pissed and turned my phone off. after service i called the number back and it turned out it was some retarded beaner who kept dialing the wrong number. NO SPEAKA INGLES, BIOTCH?! jeez, i always get ppl who accidentally dial my number. like this korean guy who called my phone on three seperate occasions. jeez, you think you'd figure it out after the first time you have the wrong number. grrr. so after that in sunday skool, the college class consisted of one person, me. i got combined into the adult class. my attention span was shorter than an add kid and i was just twirling my pen and thinking about random stuff. jeez, i hate when i do that. when sunday skool was over, had to drop off that bum charis at lana's house, but first i had to take her to wendy's. dumped her off at lana's house and then went to get lunch at tokyo house since i can't stand eating that taco bell garbage. none of that wack "white man" mexican food. got some a katsu bowl from tokyo house and ate it at taco bell where the guys were. dan showed up and we headed out to circuit city so brian could buy his phone. i just played video games there and now i wished i kept up with the whole video game deal. gamecube, xbox, ps2. so tight...yet so expensive and i'm quite the jew when it comes to buying crap. then it was off to toys r us for bobby's mountain bike which he's only buying because it was on sale. yeah, it was originally $200, but right now it's only $60 and it seems that's the only reason bobby is buying it. i mean, yeah if you're gonna use it and stuff, go for it, but bobby....? naw, i don't think so. he reminds me of my dad sometimes. he'll just buy stuff cuz it's cheap, but no one ends up using it. also, while we were there, the guys had one of those random 'impulse buy' urges to get water guns, but ended up not getting any. then to home depot to get some hooks to mount on the garage wall for bobby's bike. it always smells weird inside there. with all that stuff inside we could've built an entire house. in fact, we were considering building our own house for a while...well brian and dan were. good times. however, the hot dogs outside home depot are too expensive. so wack. after home depot, we went to sam's club where we walked right in without showing any sort of membership card or anything. right when we walk in, the girl who was supposed to be checking for cards was standing right next to us and dan says, "man! we don't need no membership card!" haha, good one. we got some really cheap food to eat (hotdog and soda only $1.50!) and then wandered around looking at their random crap. yes, all those guys...impulse buyers. it's crazy, but no one bought anything. just the urge to buy everything in sight. oh well. so then we went to pick up bobby's bike. we drove around to the back of toys r us and waited for a while and bobby kept acting weird in front of the door. he picked up a stuffed doll (which i think was tweety) and started "raising the roof" with it. yes. very sad =P. finally, he comes out on his bike and we try loading it into the back of his car. as usual, nothing goes as planned and it doesn't fit into the trunk area. so we had to heave it over the back seat and still the trunk door didn't close all the way. then back to church where this lady's car battery died. so brian took dan and me back to our cars to see if we had jumper cables, but we didn't. either way, we went back to check if she was ok and she found someone with the cables so we went home. now i'm here writing this when i should be writing up a paper for english tomorrow.
man, only two more days of skool left. monday = wack. full day pretty much except no english. however, i still have to turn in a paper for it, but there's no class. chinese i have my last presentation, but i'm considering not doing it since it's not even worth the time i put into it and the grade i get from it. econ is probably just more notes. i really need to study more for this class. i haven't read the book or anything for a while. then that night i have to go to the econ lab and do the hw and turn it in. then wednesday i'll have to go to the review session for the final in the afternoon so i'm leaving work early (YAY!). then in math it's probably just reviewing some of the earlier stuff we learned this semseter since the final is going to be comprehensive. i hate that. hm then tuesday is only chinese, last day of class. wednesday just work and the econ final review. thursday i'll probably just work and study. friday i have the math final at 12:20. i'll probably just sleep in and sleep in during the morning and then go take the final. so it looks like this week will be pretty chill. none of this hectic business. then i only have two finals on the following monday. chinese and econ xP *ick*

so geocities has finally decided to start letting me update again. pos. nothing much new here. did my presentation for chinese. only one more left! yes! then there's only...4 more days left of skool! then finals...*ugh* but i have time to study for them so i hope i'm disciplined enough to sit myself down and stay focused enough to go through all the necessary material. so i have a total of 3 finals to take. 2 on friday, may 9th (math and chinese) then 1 on monday, may 12th (chinese). for english i just have to do a portfolio-type thing for the class which is due next monday and then i'm done with that. so as of approximately noon on may 12th i'll finally be done with my freshman year in college. thank God. the best part is that 3 days later on the 15th i'm going back to the bay area for a family friend's wedding. should be there till the next tuesday, in time for everyone's graduation. then the last two weeks of june will consist of a family trip to seattle, visiting family and what not. last time i was there was....2 years ago, the summer before junior year in high skool. that should be fun. i have cousins about my age up there so it shouldn't be too bad. plus, i'm pretty sure the food up in seattle is quite good. OH! and the coffee = good. everytime i smell coffee, it reminds me of all those trips i've taken to seattle cuz every morning there'd be coffee at breakfast. yep, should be a good trip.

dang, i just watched an preview for wonderful days, a korean cartoon. yes, KOREAN. not japanese. yet, the animation was so well done, but what do you expect from the country that brought you animation from such unforgettable shows as 'the simpsons'?
random late night update, it's about 12:30am may 1st, but i'm too lazy to make an entirely new entry. just found a couple cars online that i felt were worthy of being posted. first, green 1996 nissan 240sx se with 5-spd trans. and 85k mi going for $7,500. it's not bad, but price is right on with kbb which doesn't leave much room for haggling, but i've seen this car posted up a while back and it didn't get much luck so there's still some room to lower the price. next is a black 1997 nissan 240sx se with 5-spd trans. and 75k mi going for a flat $10,000. out of my price range, but it's what i'd call a 'black beauty' (excuse the lame phrase). seriously though this car is HOT. it's the 1997-1998 s14(b?) with the 'angry eyes' headlights and those are pretty rare thus making it twice as appealing to me. *sigh* i'm really strapped for cash. i just wish something decent would pop up for $4-5k ish. again, i'd just like to stress how important it is for everyone to donate to the 'get me a car' fund. all donations, great and small, are welcome. preferably big. donators are to be awarded with a luxury 'ride in my new car.' =P

had a pretty decent weekend. kinda slow, but that's usually how they are.
friday - went to work out after work for the first time in...2+ weeks i think? well, i'm finally glad to have gotten back into the gym. went home, cleaned up and got online. was considering going to abf, but was feeling lazy as usual. then josh called and asked if i wanted to go to a new pc bang. so i chose to do that instead of driving all the way back to asu =P picked up josh and his friends at their korean skool and went to the pc bang. it was interesting. i haven't gone to too many so i was intrigued as to things worked around there. first, a majority of ppl were NOT playing cs. wtf?! they were playing 'battlefield something something', a wwII fps. second, the guy sitting next to our computer seemed very talkative. it's as though he hadn't seen another human being for a very long time. he just talked and talked. however, he could've just been trying to be friendly. then, there were about 2 other ppl playing cs with us. it was sad. i thought cs was still the hottest thing to online gaming as *insert comparison here*. after we had enough of cs, dan, don, and bwee showed up and said everyone was going to tgifridays. so i took tina to lana's (sp?) house and headed over to tgifridays. it was the usual friday night 'chill at a restaurant during happy hour' business. after that, took charis home and went over to hang out at dan's. we watched 'jackie brown'. i was thinking it was foxy brown, the movies with that black lady from the 70's that shot a lot of ppl. sadly, i was mistaken. that movie was slow...and boring. it lacked decent action, but at least samuel l. jackson was pretty cool...in the beginning of the movie. i started to doze off near the end and then woke up when it was over. we left dan's house and i took don and josh home. home by 4am for the second week in a row.
saturday - woke up around 10.30-ish and watched some cartoons. bummed around most of the day and just helped out with setting up for the dinner party my parents were having later that night. i finally got out around 7 to pick up charis and drop her off at home. then went to pickup caroline and we went to the mall. we waited for dan at barnes and noble and then went to pick up ben at his house. we watched 'identity' which turned out to be a very confusing movie, but it wasn't too bad. after that, went to los favorritos and got a bite to eat. dan and me went to bashas in search of something to drink and we found the new sprite tropical remix. yay! it was pretty good, but not as good as my pepsi blue! mmm pepsi blue. went back to los favorritos and just sat around for a while then back home.
sunday - went to church and even sunday skool! yep, after that lunch at sonic where don and josh met up with us. bobby brought all these sheets with info on the phones he wanted to get. we went to several places looking for that phone. finally bobby settled on buying it at the circuit city near fiesta mall. on the way out of there, there was this little kid speaking vietnamese. haha it was so funny. when i first saw him i thought he was mexican, but then he started talking to his dad. plus, his dad was like....5 feet tall and i thought he was just a kid. haha. good times. i got some running shoes at the mall, finally. my old pair was one of those nike prestos. wasn't too comfortable, but they sure were light-weight. went back home and waited for brian to get off work then we all went to work out. now i'm all sore because i hadn't worked out for a while and then i go twice this weekend. oh well, it's good for me =P
at work again. my head was hurting all morning and i felt like i was sick all over again. luckily, the pain has subsided as of now. hopefully it's gone for good. so my day was pretty average. went to classes as usual. in chinese my teacher went nuts with all the work. she expects SO much of us now than she has before. it's strange. now she wants us to read the chapter we're going over DURING the weekend and then to have done the short q & a exercise as well. not only that, but she gave us a quiz at the beginning of class to "make sure" that we had went over the material BEFORE class. omg. it sucked, obviously i didn't go over it. i NEVER go over it on the weekends. maybe it's just me being stubborn and refusing to study and stuff over the weekend (excluding sunday night). anyways, bs'd the quiz and filled in about half the questions to which i only got part of the answer because i used the wrong characters. anyways, so chinese = bust. then econ was ok. we went over some questions on the final and i actually understood them and got them correct. so i'm starting to feel a little better about this whole situation. as long as i keep studying and stuff, i think i'll be able to do well on it. english was the usual. i got my essay back and it was okay for the most part. other than some strange wording here and there, overall it seemed to be almost worthy of an A. moving on, math was boring as usual. i kept nodding off cuz we just went over our quiz that we took friday. i got a 9/10 and knew the mistakes i made so i wasn't really too into most what was discussed in class. so that brings me to now, work. ~oi i get in and my headache was still there. i get an email from my supervisor lady (who looks like hagrid from 'harry potter') saying the guy i sent this long list of files to was confused by it and thought it was too "detailed." ai yah, that stupid bastard. it took me about 2 weeks to edit the list (which consisted of more than 1000 seperate entries) to the layout he wanted and now he's telling me it's TOO DETAILED?! omg...i want to kick him in the mouth and make him swallow all of the teeth i break off. okay so basically, the list is actually an inventory list of all the files that are contained within these boxes being stored in my department. a little while back, a co-worker of mine's wanted me to inventory the box so i made and inventory list for it. then my co-worker wanted me to send these boxes to the company's storage facility so i call up the guy in charge over there and he sends me this 'records transfer list' that i was supposed to fill out. i thought i could just copy and paste the original inventory list onto this one, but the original file was in excel and the records transfer list was in word. so just getting it to fit right on the transfer list took a couple days then it had a 50 character limit on each file's description. so i had to edit down 1000+ different items on the list down to 50 characters or less. omg...that took forever and now this jerk is telling me it's not what he wanted?! *sigh* there's more to this, but it'd just get boring and confusing so i'll stop. just know that i hate work and feel that all this "paperwork" is so damned inefficient. how can they not take what i gave them when i followed exactly what the instructions were? that was a complete waste of 2 weeks worth of work! explain to me how this in anyway is in the best interest of the company? this complexity is boggling my mind and the assignment was only SUPPOSED to be a simple list and now wtf do they want?! man, this job can go to hell. i need to find a new one.
*rant*
awwwww crap. i was trying put all my old entries into the 'old news' section (since geocities was being a stupid bitch for the past 2 days and doesn't want to save my entry cuz i think it might be too big) and in the process had a month's worth of them deleted. damn geocities. now i'm mad. the sooner i figure out how to use all that ftp crap, the sooner i'm loading all my stuff onto asu's server and from then on will be an opponent to this geocities pile of shit.

today was a boring day. i just had chinese today and that was it. actually, there WAS one good thing that happened. i went to the bathroom during chinese and when i passed by the elevators there was this SUPER CUTE girl sitting on the couch nearby. as i walked by i did the "double-take", followed by a head tilt, then "dammmmmn." *sigh* sadly, i don't think i'll ever see her again since asu is sucha big skool and all. oh well, at least it brightened up my day. tonight should be fun though. oh yes, tons of fun. gobs of fun. so much fun that it'll bump up my standard of fun thereby making everything else in the future not as fun much fun as it should've been (if that even made sense). yep, tonight i have...a rough draft for my final essay in english to write, due tomorrow. it was actually due wednesday, but i told my teacher that i "forgot" it and he just said to bring it in on friday. my english teacher = the best. then i have quiz in math i have to study for and then a test in chinese to study for. doesn't look like i'll be able to go to gungfu tonight. aw. maybe i should try to just hit the punching bag around instead. so anyways, i've been doing research for my english essay at work. my paper is going to be on 'illegal drag racing' and how it's a social ill. plus, i must give a solution to the problem. actually, i could really care less about how much of a 'social ill' illegal drag racing is. the only reason i'm doing a paper on this is because there's no other problem in society that i'm more interested or well-informed on. oh and of course it will include the influences of 'the fast and the furious.' what is illegal drag racing without it? =P

*warning for lazy ppl* - very long post
well, i've neglected to write in here for a couple days. i guess i've been too occupied with other things to worry about it. anyways, my weekend was alright. it seems like most other weekends though. saturday i always end up sitting around the house all day and then going out at night only to come home early cuz i have to wake up early for church the next day. so anyways, here was my weekend:
friday - should've gone to the good friday service, but i decided against it so i could hang out with don and josh. i met up with them at chandler fashion's parking lot (haha so typical) and then tried to figure out what we were going to do. originally, we planned to go see 'bulletproof monk', but one thing led to another and dan ended up coming to the mall. finally, we agreed on going to oasis and sending andy and josh to netzone. dropped off josh and andy then went over to oasis. it was pretty packed and they had belly dancers performing inside =P we ended up being seated outside where it was cold and windy. when we left i was feeling kinda nauseous so i wasn't having too much fun. we went to pick up josh and andy from netzone, but when we went inside they weren't there. so we asked the guy at the front if he'd seen them and apparently they left to go wandering around the shopping center. hm must've been pretty boring. in the car, josh and andy recanted their tale of what happened while they were there. apparently there were some vietnamese guys (wow really?!) playing cs who're talking a tad bit too loud. josh looks at andy and asks, "can you hear that?" to which andy replies, "OF COURSE I CAN!" hmm i guess it would've been funny had you been there. so afterwards, we went back to chandler fashion and watched 'bulletproof monk' (more on this later). when we finished the movie, don took andy home and the rest of us went back to don and josh's house. we got there and just hung out outside of the house, as usual, waiting for don to get back. when don finally go there we all went to riva's. dang, good stuff. took it to the park next to the community pool and ate there. plenty of interesting topics came up that night such as "why is megaman called rockman in japanese?" oh yeah, hella deep stuff. fo sho fo sho. the rest of the night consisted of us just driving around trying to find some mischief to cause, but unfortunately we couldn't think of anything good to do. me = home by 4:00am
saturday - like i said earlier, sat around at home for most of the day. i woke up around...10:30 cuz the light was shining through my blinds and everyone in the house was being loud. *grr* i hate that. anyways, woke up and watched some 'cubix.' missed yu-gi-oh unfortunately. got up, ate breakfast and kinda bummed around. eventually i got online and did the normal internet routine: read up on car forums and xangas. later on, josh and me were trying to get something planned out, but i guess we kept getting off-topic everytime we tried discussing it. we finally resorted to flipping a coin to figure out what to do. so by around 4 i started to get extremely bored at home so i went to work out. finally, after 2+ weeks of slacking off i finally get back into the gym. i didn't stay for as long as i usually do, but the next day i was still sore. anyways, after working out i came back and cleaned up, ate dinner, etc. josh and me finally decided to meet up at the mall again cuz i needed to look for dress pants. i called brian to see what he was up to and he was working at hollister that night. we hung out there for a while and bobby and dan met up with us there. dan couldn't get over the fact that one of the girls who worked there had her butt crack showing. haha as the old saying goes, "crack kills." anyways, after brian got off work we all went to chipotle to get a bite to eat. i found out there that they charge extra for guacamole. $1.25!!! ai yah! my burrito came out to 7 bux! mest up, yo. oh well, after that we went back to my house to watch this korean movie 'shiri' that josh brought, but we kept talking during the movie and david and his friend came over and we ended up not watching the movie, but i remember the beginning of the movie was ultra-violent. a crazy military training scene where they had guys tied to poles and the soldiers knifed them all. pretty bloody. anyways, the guys decided to go to mill ave. and i was too tired from only getting 6 1/2 hours of sleep the night before so i decided to just stay home.
sunday - woke up at 9:30 since service started at 10:30-45, not sure. anyways, got ready as usual while watching ULTIMATE MUSCLE! hehe, that show is hilarious. kid muscle = goofiest kid ever. anyways, didn't drive to church again since parents advocate the whole gas-conservation deal, but for good reason. why drive a big ol' minivan that seats 7 ppl when i only have one or two others with me? yep, so we get to service a little late and had to sit way in the back cuz it was a combined service. hehe the guy who was translating kept stuttering and pastor derek barely gave him any time to finish translating. poor guy. there was a short discussion on sars followed by a short, humorous cough from whoever was speaking in light of the current situation. after service, the usual mass of ppl congregate outside of the sanctuary and block the flow of everyone trying to get in and out. this time however, that guy doesn't come and tell us to move. i wonder where he was? so yeah, meandered around for what seemed like forever trying to decide on a place to go for lunch. after much discussion and arguing it was agreed upon that we'd go to c-fu's all because charis wanted to see ann. charis did not even eat at c-fu's, but instead bought food from wendy's and ate it AT C-FU'S! ya bum. oh well, the food was still pretty good. ya know normally when i go with family, the adults start fighting over the bill and yet when it comes to us, we were complaining about ordering too much and blah blah blah blah. it's funny to see these differences between the older and younger generation. anyways, it seems that c-fu's has a new item on their dim sum carts, the "chinese hamburger." omg...haha it looked like one of those breakfast sausage biscuits. mmhmm. after lunch, we went back to church to get back to some ppls' cars and then went to dan's house to hang out for a while. yep, good times. dan and bobby kept shooting some of the pigeons who were sitting on the roofs of other houses. as for everyone else, it was just rampant internet shopping. so basically, we just lounged around dan's house all afternoon. around 4-ish, we decided to go out. bwee went to ask this girl to prom and the rest of us went to wal-mart in search of more bb guns. ai yah. brian + bb guns = uh-oh. i think that's all that needs to be said about it. after all the guys bought their guns, they went back to dan's. it's as though they were eager little children on christmas morning, tearing into their presents with that gleam of joy in their eye. after that, dan made soba (?), err...cold japanese noodles. pretty good. it was the first time i've ever had it so yep, good eatin'. after that, hitched a ride home with kanyon.
monday - class = gay. found out that i can't retake my econ class over the summer and have it count towards my gpa for the scholarship. apparently, they only accept fall, winter, and spring semester grades towards the gpa. ai yah, so now my options have been narrowed down to actually taking the test now. *sigh* i need 100% on the final just to get B. man...i'm gonna have to study...A LOT! so gay! well, my actual day didn't turn out too bad. i saw brandon & co. sitting on the nipple on hayden lawn when i was supposed to have english. class got canceled, but i only remembered when i got to class and noticed that no one was there. so after sitting down and talking with brandon & co. i headed off to my next class and ran into erin. i found out that we didn't get the accounting class we signed up for so i figured i better check the results of my pre-registration. turns out they gave me a 7:40AM CLASS! ARGH! that is two hours earlier than my current earliest class. this equates to me having to wake up 2 extra hours earlier = 5:30am. HELL NO! so i moved around some classes and attempted to get a schedule that i could live with. it felt like i was playing with a rubix cube, once you put a class in one place, what you had earlier is somewhere else/won't fit, etc. ~oi no fun. eventually i had to sign-up for an 8:40am accounting class cuz it was the only one left. *sigh* then off to bed.
tuesday - this morning once i woke up, i turned on the computer and checked for an better classes available. I FOUND A 9:40am CLASS! YES! and it only had 1 out of 45 seats filled. sadly, as i was trying to input all the information into the sundial phone system, the other 44 open seats got filled up. *tear* that moment...i died. i even took the time to rearrange my schedule to fit that class in! so then i had to go back to the original one i settled upon from the previous night. then when i got into work today i checked for any open classes and PRAISE THE LORD! A 9:40am CLASS OPENED UP! YAY! so i IMMEDIATELY picked up the phone and dialed into the sundial system. dropped the necessary classes and then signed up for the alternate "better" schedule i had worked out. YAY! so now i have a semi-decent schedule. what's even BETTER is that since the whole sars thing is getting out of hand i china, my chinese teacher might not go on the summer program trip there and instead teach CHI313 and CHI314 over the summer! YAY! that means i won't have to take it next year which means i can rearrange my schedule to my coveted TUESDAY/THURSDAY SCHEDULE! WAH! SO GOOD! mad props to the big guy upstairs. so i guess what turned out to be the worst pile of crap ever is now quite pleasant. hm now i have to get math hw done tonight and memorize my chinese speech for class tomorrow. it's on the lifestyle of senior citizens in america. yesterday i had to talk about a time that i'd been cheated. so i told the class about this story that took place when i was 5 years old. one day, my dad called me to the front yard and told me he had a surprise for me. i got all excited thinking it was a new toy or something. he told me that i had to go wait on the lawn and he'll go get my "surprise." so i obediently went out onto the lawn (in a cute way, think me => 5 years old) and stood there with a big smile on my face. all of a sudden, the sprinklers turn on and my dad just starts busting up laughing! so...i run off the grass, into the garage, and straight into the house crying to my mom. yeah, shut up. i was 5! how could i NOT cry?!
for fobby japanese drifting related t-shirts. i'd get one, but they're kinda pricey and the sizes are too big. gotta love the bright yellow shirts though.

random movie reviews:
bulletproof monk -
1/5 finger(s)
this movie was utter crap. just like all the movies nowadays, they put all the good stuff in the previews. so just watch the preview of this movie and be content with it. anyways, the basic plot of this story is that chow yun fat is a monk who's supposed to guard a magic scroll that gives 'God-like' powers to those who read it. the conflict in this movie consists of how the nazis found out about this scroll and tried to claim it's powers for their own use. fast forward to present day, sean william scott is "car/kar/gar" (sp?), a thief who works at a chinese movie theater. chow yun fat aka "monk" and "car/kar/gar" cross paths and let the mismatched-buddy movie begin! a couple things about this movie:
* the action - overly done and seemed almost rigid or stiff at times. it lacked the fluidity and grace of the classic HK movies.
* the plot - absolutely ridiculous. super monk + mystic scroll + nazis + brainless thief = movie < cigarette-smoking monkeys with typewriters (the simpsons)
* the actors - the only reason i wanted to see this movie was for chow yun fat. now, i'm not sure if i should watch his movies anymore. i've noticed a lot of HK actors who're making american movies now end up having THE crappiest movies in their career made in the good ol' US of A. as for sean william scott, his attempts to be serious at certain points in the movie do not fit his image of the complete moron. his previous movies have pretty much cast him only as the neanderthal-like airhead and it's hard to see him outside of that role.
better luck tomorrow -

5/5 finger(s)
this movies hot. i'm sure this must sound pretty obvious coming from a guy fits into the 'target audience' of this movie. basic plot consists of a group of stereotypical asian students in high skool = studies hard for their ap/honors classes, involved in clubs/activites, volunteer for the sole purpose of being able to put it on the college apps., etc. this story follows their experience with getting involved with some 'shady dealings' and how they deal with it. there's really not too much to say about it though. you'll just have to see it for yourself.

talent show last night was pretty cool. saw some ppl i hadn't seen in quite some time. it was weird how half the population of china seemed to show up that night. yes, so many asians. most of the acts were pretty good...except those guys who did the 'bulls on parade' cover. man, his voice was too...pre-pubescent and the band itself seemed to sound like they had holes in the music. however, the improvements from the previous ones were few. the annual jumprope girl didn't take 10+ min to do her thing which was good or maybe it was the fact that the previous act took about 15 min or so. anyways, the "techno group" seemed to be the favorite that night...hmm no wait, actually it seemed like a toss-up between them and yun-ting lee. yes...that kid is freakin' amazing. i'd only heard about how good he was before, but man...you don't get the full effect of that statement until you hear him play. anyways, anthony and johnny's tkd thing was cool. funny thing was that tkd was there hahaha inside joke n/m. all in all, an enjoyable evening that was definitely worth the 3 bux and pocketfull of change i spent.
looks like bobby has one less choice for a xanga name => dah_b's xanga
ya know, normally i find it amusing when retards make xangas claiming to be celebrities such as justin timberlake, michelle branch, or kelly osbourne. *sigh* but this time...they've gone too far. whoever made this xanga needs to be kicked in teeth then castrated fire (so that this person's stupidity will not be a curse unto the next generation) for defiling sucha GREAT star =P

boring day. skool = boring. calculated my econ grade again and i realized i made a mistake. i can only miss TWO questions on the final to get a B. you know what that means...yeah. no wait, i just checked my grade and according to the site, i got a 24/100 on the test!! WTF!? i have a copy of the test and circled all the answers i chose then checked them against the answer key posted online. i SHOULD have gotten a 68/100. something's funny...damn my econ class. damn it to hell. so everyone go HERE now, even if you don't go to asu, college, whatever, and give extremely bad ratings. thank you for your cooperation. just think about it, you could help to save someone's grade, gpa, scholarship, simply by letting ppl know that her class is the COMPLETE opposite of easy.
wandering around online again at work today led me to find hard facts to backup my 'anti-honda/fwd' for a new car. first, a nice clip showing the overpopularity of civics within america today. definitely not a unique car. next, a page DEDICATED to exposing all of those horribly modded civics on the road. you know, the UGLY civics that you see bai ren, muo xi ge ren, and yue nan ren in. it's terrible. here's the best example i saw on the site:
yeah it's pretty bad, excess stickers and incorrect badging, but wait...what's that?:
yes...that's right...powered by...VIETNAM! WTF?! see! i told you they're ghetto cars! now everytime i look at a civic, that's all i can think about and now you finally understand why i DO NOT want a civic (or honda for that matter).

well since i dirtied up this entry with ghetto civics, might as well finish off dirty too.

hey all. at work right now which means that i'm feeling better. no more fever, no more headache, but according to my doctor "all the drainage" from my nose is irritating the crap outta my throat. it's really starting to bug the hell outta me so i've been sucking on ricolas all day. so yeah, not only have i kinda lost my appetite, i don't really wanna eat cuz my throat hurts. dang, me not eating?! crazy. anyways, gotta go back to skool after work to take a math test so i should probably start doign some last-minute studying soon. tonight i have to get started on my chinese presentation/speech thing on friday. hehe i haven't gone to chinese at all this week, but it's not like i missed much. first, i was sick monday so no class that day. second, since i was sick all weekend, i was unable to prepare for another presentation on tuesday. yep, i had TWO this week. lao shi is sucha commie. so that makes a total of 3 presentations this semester i've chosen not to do. i hope i don't get a C. so yeah, tomorrow night, so much going on. ataris concert, tbs concert, and corona's talent show. me being cheap and lazy decided to go to corona's talent show because: a) less driving b) cheaper c) ends earlier d) gotta show some love to the homies.
april 15th...have you done your taxes? i got mine's done yesterday in a matter of about 5 min over the phone. plus, i'm getting a return that's larger than my average paycheck. me = happy.
found another 240sx that's a possibility. it's a silver 1989 se fastback, 5-spd with 91k mi for only $2,500. that's extremely cheap considering the mileage, but then when putting the model year into consideration, it's quite old. 14 years old to be exact.
a boost mobile (cell phone company) advertisement. it's got an old man doing his own spin on the whole 'fast and furious' craze. the best part is that he's asian and that means...FOBBY ACCENT! haha. it's hard to understand him, but definitely funny.
official car search begins soon. my mom said that after taxes = car shopping time. so now i'm on autotrader constantly. no joke. several times a day looking for new ads. nothing just right yet. either real nice & outta my price range or not quite what i'm looking for. oh well for the time being, i printed up a bunch of online ads for reference.
well i was surfing the forums again and i thought this old old pic was gone forever, but NO! i've finally found it again! read on:

as i mentioned in the last entry, warm forehead + headache = sick all weekend...with sars...j/k. but yeah no fun. i had PLANS this weekend, but they were canceled. *sigh* oh well, friday night i came home, took temperature, had fever, tried to sleep it off. that didn't work. saturday, lounged around all day. watched hero and played some cs. surfed the net for a while. nothing much. that night i tried the 'sweat-it-off' method. the next morning i woke up with my shirt off. i don't remember ever taking it off. hm oh well. sunday, pretty much well by then. fever was gone all day. dan and bobby came over and brought me non-sick ppl food. it was good. i craved anything, but shi fan which i had been eating ever since i got sick. they bummed it around here and then left. didn't end up doing much after that either. took a nap and studied for microecon. slept by around midnight. today, woke up around 8.15-ish. skipped chinese and took my time to get ready this morning. had a headache so i checked temperature. 100.4 = fever. dang, no fun. still went to skool cuz i had to. took test and came home. ate lunch, rested, couldn't sleep so i just got on the computer. went to the doctor later and got myself checked out. got prescription for medicine and headed home and now i'm here. so NOT exciting. oh well. stick a fork in me, i'm done =P
*ugh* checked my grades for today's microecon test. 68/100. dang, i even went to that stupid supplemental study thing too. ghetto. so now i have to get a 25/25 on the next hw assignment and an 82 or higher on the final! that means i can only miss 4! ARGH! hm i'm considering whether i should just say f'ck it and retake it over the summer. probably not the best thing to do since i plan on working or being out of state during summer. man...so i have three options:
1. study really hard. harder than i've ever studied before and hopefully i'll be able to miss no more than 4 questions on the test.
2. say f'ck it and just stop going to class thus causing me to receive a grade below a C which in turn will allow me to retake it during the summer. hopefully with an easier teacher.
3. umm..."shady, under-handed" methods. no need to further elaborate.

*argh* my head hurts right now and my forehead is kinda warm. i hope i'm not sick or anything. now i probably won't go to the gym after work *sigh* but it's for the best. now i can get some sleep hehe.
right now, there are two 240's on autotrader that i've put into consideration. the first one, a black 1995 240, 5-spd w/ unknown mileage for $5,495. next, another black 1995 240, 5-spd with approximately 130k mi for $3,995. right now, mileage seems to be the issue with both cars. if the first car has over 100k mi then i might consider just going with the second one due to the lower price, obviously. sadly, neither of these are the se-trim so that means 5-lug swap and no lsd. oh well, once taxes are done i'm pretty sure i'm gonna start looking seriously then. as for the previous one i had my eyes on, the buyer seems to 'hint' that he wants more than i was offering. check it out.
drifting game i came across online. it's good times. you get your choice of two hachiroku's or an fd.

pic's for sunday's random hair-dying are still up. also, random family trip to cali during thanksgiving are up as well.
tonight i'm going to see an advanced screening of 'better luck tomorrow.' dan told me about it and from what i heard, it sounded interesting. so monday in chinese class, a classmate of mine's speaks up and asks if anyone wants free tickets to see the movie and me being the stingy asian i am, snatch them up with extreme prejudice. so now me and 3 other ppl get to go see it for free. yes, i already asked ppl and if i didn't ask you it's probably cuz either:
a) you have prior engagements such as work or hw.
b) you probably wouldn't want to see this movie
c) i hate your guts cuz you're a fag.
speaking of fags, according to charis it's national gay silent day or something. yay!....not, but hey at least they'll stfu and stop bitching for a 24 hour period about how oppressed those pansies are. no, i do not hate gay ppl i just think they bitch too much and need to ctfo. so anyways, i was on my way to econ on monday and i saw this girl wearing a "luck of the irish" shirt (psht). the funny thing was that she was ON CRUTCHES! HAHAHAH OMFG! where's your luck now, spud? i'm mean, i know, but i'm on a roll today. plus, i get it from my sister. she's a bad influence on me. =P
dang straight up hotness right here. a guy was able to put an rb25det (r33 skyline gts-t engine) into an s13 (89-94 240sx)! mad props. that thing's gonna be a monster on the streets. *drool*
a little more info on the movie "better luck tomorow". everyone HAS to go see this, especially if you fit into this stereotype *ahem*:
This is the story of a group of overachieving Asian-American high school honor students in Orange County who decide to live second lives at night as a gang responsible for criminal acts of mischief (like selling exam cheat sheets), theft and drug dealing. As their newly-found illegal hobbies grow and consume more of their time, the boys find the status as perfect students that society expects of nice Asian kids from good homes is threatened... leaving them with choices about which paths they want to follow at this crucial point in their lives.
for good times go to KIM JONG IL'S LIVE JOURNAL! the awesome rantings of a north korean dictator. it includes aim conversation's with president bush as well as his explanation's on how he invented the internet. no joke, this is one place JAM-PACKED with good times.
jeez, there's so much going on this weekend. as always, time to make a list of stuff so i don't forget.
1. brandon wong's b-day
2. 'callbox situation' playing at pv mall
3. david0u's bbq
4. make video (don't worry. it's not porn, but rather more 'bum fights'-ish)
5. josh's lan party. although i think he was kidding cuz he said it was just andy bringing over his computer.
6. hmm no wait, i think that's it. that's still more than what goes on in one BORING month though.

back from a 5-day hiatus. not much really happened. just your usual slow weekend. sadly, the deepest thought i was able to ponder was "why're forks all curvy?" i was sitting at a restaurant saturday night, straightening out a fork just for the hell of it and then it hit me. why the hell are these things all curvy anyways? i mean, it worked just fine when it was all straight. plus, chopsticks are straight too and they work fine! hm maybe it's just bai ren. oh well so the moral of this story is, "don't be gay." not really, i just can't think of anything better to say.
friday night went out to north canyon high skool wayyy out there at union hills and cave creek. *ugh* i dislike driving so far into unfamiliar territory especially in a minivan that drives like a fat woman, slow...and fat. anyways, saw brandon and herbie's band play. though it lacked enough volume in the vocals i feel it went by fairly well. however, those two highly disagreed saying it was their worst performance ever (out of a grand total of two performances, shocking!). sadly, their bad didn't win first prize, but received fairly decent marks across the board. afterwards we went to desert ridge and meandered around for a while. our attempts to find a place to eat were continually foiled by one distraction after another. be it shopping or whatever, getting food kept getting pushed back. while there i discovered a place called "gillian's" (i think that's how it's spelled). anyways, when jay, my sister, and i went up to the arcade i saw some kids, again bai ren but hey what do you expect in az, playing a little 'pump' aka korean ddr. oh boy, fun time. the best part about this situation was that none of them were really that good. so me being the one who's actually played it a couple of times steps up to be a cocky showoff. i hadn't played in a while so i needed to warm-up and get familiar with the rhythm again. played a yoo seung jun song and then went to the classic beethoven one, don't remember the name though. anyways, main part of the song anthony showed me how to do it where you do a full-circle so i tried that. haha ppl sure are easily amused. however, i managed to screw up later in the song and failing xP so yeah oh well, at least i got to do the spinny-thing that amuses ppl. after gillian's everyone was outside and we finally decided on eating at cpk. ordered up a roasted garlic chicken pizza and did the usual pizza trading amongst ourselves. after finishing up our food, we slowly make our way out the door and back to our cars where i make that long HALF-HOUR DRIVE home! =P
yes, my new obsession (if you don't know already) is pepsi blue. i don't know why, it just is. in fact, i even have an old pepsi blue bottle i use as a water bottle now. mmmm. although it's not ranked higher than my 240. nothing ranks higher than the 240. nothing.

stuff that i SHOULD have done today, but didn't
1. slept early
i stayed up till 1am this morning fiddling with next semester's schedule. i ALMOST had it down to only tues/thurs classes, BUT (yeah it's bad) if i wanted to minor in chinese then i would have to take another 2 sem of upper division reading/writing chinese class. as you may have guessed, it WASN'T on tues and thurs, but rather...mon, wed, fri. gheyness. so now i'm trying to stay positive and remind myself that it will help in not only my future profession, but just all-around daily life. yep, i'll be able to speak chinese semi-decently. keyword: semi. 3 of my 6 classes for next sem are chinese classes. *sigh* chinese conversation, chinese reading and writing, and chinese literature. omg...i'm going to die. then there's sociology 101, accounting 230, and finally statistics. ~oi plus, my tues/thurs schedule has me at skool from 9:15am to 8:55pm. foreveeeeer, but i have 2 two-hour breaks in the afternoon. man, i don't need THAT much time inbetween class. oh well, it gives me time to study and do hw. all in all, a total of 17 credit hours next semester. i'm going to die.
2. not gone to work
today is SUCH a nice day. in fact, since last week or so, the weather has been EXTREMELY nice. well, seeing as it is spring in az (about the ONLY good time in az, weather-wise) then it's quite understandable. so i should've just not gone to work and walked around campus or tempe town lake or something. it would've been nice to just sit by myself outside somewhere nice and shady and then take a nap or something, but no. work calls. man, i wish i was rich and didn't necessarily NEED to work so i could chill out like that. jeez, the sacrifices i make =P
3. work out
i might have a chance to later tonight, but it depends on whether i can get some of my hw done at work, which i'll probably start after finishing up here. it's been a while since i've lifted. *yar* feeling weak and summer's coming up. must shape up and not be flabby. my goal is to be like my hero, da-b, who has become so incredibly large and muscular that he's a shining example to the rest of us little guys. hehe.
supah heppie rainbow dynomite, robot attack tokyo, g-a-s-p oh my gordon! la la fortune lucky speedy crazy xylaphone oh oh ah ah shizzle dizzle clicky click here. na na na domo arigato mr. roboto. i <3 pocky dipping stick for dipping goodness. i must succeed. click click click. hey now for i am all-star, getting game on nacka. god of bomex wish speed over rival vroom vroom click vroom vroom. keke like little skoolgirl good time make phone go WAH WAH sure sure sure...yes, i know that was completely random.
well, a couple things i've decided to do in terms of "short-term goals." i've just been batting these ideas around my head for a while and i suppose if i wrote it down somewhere it'd help me to accomplish them or at least remember them:
* get new car
- obviously, driving a car without a/c in the summer here in az is either a love for pain or a death sentence.
* get new job
- i think i won't be working at srp anymore coming either this summer or next sem. my mom talked to this one lady she knows at a bank of america and the lady told her to have me drop off my resume to her. we'll see.
* get good grades
- oh man, this should be fun. D in microecon i need to bring up and must maintain the A in math. then english, as long as he likes my essays i'll be fine. finally, chinese i'll probably be doomed to a B again cuz i always get B's on the tests. oh well.
* work out consistently
- i was doing good last summer, but once skool starts up i had absolutely no time. i really should find a way to get some sort of physical exercise in each day or every other day or so.
again, i was bored at work so i created something cool with my time in MS PAINT! and remember, it's not april 1st so it's not scary. i would post it up here, but it's a big picture. anyways, => enjoy!
random story: so last week i went to the bathroom at work and i heard snoring coming from one of the stalls. apparently, the guy had fallen asleep while on the crapper. i wasn't sure if i should try to keep quiet or not since it was kinda weird and all.

got into work around 1pm today as opposed to the normal 11am. i went out to dim sum/dian xing with my parents cuz we had some family friend visiting from out of town. so now i'm back at work. i have a HUGE stack of newspapers to read, but i still have to finish up this stupid 'records transfer list' that they've been hounding me about for the past couple weeks. i was told to just transfer stuff from an excel file onto this list, but apparently there is a 50 character limit to the file descriptions so i've been going through and shortening all the long ones down. i have to go through about 1000+ entries on one set of boxes alone. this is gonna take foreverrrrrr!
oh here's a neat-o thing i made at work today with MS Paint again. it is absolutely the BEST. includes a short summary inside. check it out => here!

finally, this week is over. i'm glad. it was EXTREMELY long. probably because it was the week after spring break, but now i only have around 7 weeks left of skool. so tonight (or last night i guess you could say) i picked up josh at church and we waited for everyone to get out of that praise night thing. chilled outside after it for a while and then went to tgifridays for something to eat since i hadn't eaten dinner at all. i learned that the sesame jack chicken strips are too sweet for my chinese tastebuds so you shouldn't order that unless you're down with that kind've stuff. so after our whole xiao yeh dilly-o, went outside to parking lot, chilled more there. then went back to church parking lot where we loitered and "chilled" some more. bobby let me drive his car around because i needed more practice driving stick in advent of my 'possibly' new car. much love to bobby for letting me drive his car. yeah so after that we just went home. yeah was supposed to go to oasis with david, but he changed his mind so oh well whatever. pretty slow, chill night. good times.
i be mad tired and it's funny how i'm writing at almost the same time as my last entry, except this one is in the middle of the night. anyways, got in touch with a guy in tucson who's selling his 240. blue/green 1995 se with 66k mi, and 5-spd. it's almost exactly like the one on autotrader except it has aftermarket intake and exhaust, 18in. wheels, and an upgraded sound system. sounded like he could do better than $8,700 too. so that could mean i'm leaning towards his. then again he said he was selling his car to buy an m3. i'm sure $6-8k isn't going to help a great deal towards a $40-50k car. that $6-8k might cover the cost of the added options, registration fee, taxes, etc. if for some strange reason you're interested, here's the link.
dang that reminds me, i'll only have around $5k by next month or so instead of the $7-8k for the car. hmmmm how can i make $2-3k in a matter of weeks? all my ideas seem to be...harmful and illegal so i'm not sure. not too fond of borrowing money cuz i don't like owing money so i'm open to any donations anyone might have. remember, just as jfk said, "it's not what i can do for you, but what you can do for ME!" hehe

*big sigh of relief* finally got my chinese skit thing done with today. it went smoothly and i hardly went over it that much. does that mean my chinese is slowly improving? who knows. anyways, talked to my mom last night and the possibility of me getting a new car, mainly a 240sx, is growing. however, she hasn't ran it through with my dad and he can be a jew about it (jew = da bi zi, stingy). for example, you know who's idea it was for me to get the corolla? yep, my dad's. my mom just told me last night she wasn't too fond of the idea of me getting a corolla, but my dad was SET on getting it, especially from one specific person. so not only did i get stuck with a car i didn't "prefer", but they also OVERPAID for it! *sigh* and they're always being cheap and frugal and now they overpay on that beater. such hypocrisy. oh well, i have one parent on my side now (i think) so now if my dad consents then i'm good to go. even if he doesn't he, that's not gonna stop me. no one will...

a 240sx with an identity crisis or maybe it was the owner with the identity crisis. apparently either the car or, more likely, the owner thought they were driving a honda. SOOOOO incredibly sad. here are some entries left in the guestbook that mirror my current opinions on that car:
"That is the biggest piece of rice...are you serious with that hood and fender vents? How much more gay can you be? You might as well buy a honda, you'd fit right in. You bring shame to the 240sx name."
"Good lord. Why god; why?! It is a dark day for all Nissan owners across the land. Please. I hate to say it, but I think the best thing to do to that car next is to push it off a cliff. There's no recovery process that would ever bring that car back to what it SHOULD look like. _____, you are a disgrace to the 240sx owners of america..."
"that is GAY. what the hell did you do? like _____ said go buy a honda and push that poor car off a cliff."

almost time to go home so maybe i won't write much today. long day at skool and i wanted to sleep in every class. tonight i have to meet up with my partner in chinese and figure out what to do for our skit-thing tomorrow. ~oi i hate these, but at least i have someone up there with me as opposed to saying crap by myself. anyways, thursday i have to return my rental car and then i think i'm gonna be driving the van. man, and i still have to see my counselor to figure out what classes to take next semester, pre-register, then renew my parking permit. plus, all that other crap such as hw. on the other hand, i think there's only 7 weeks of skool left. hopefully they pass by quickly...and i get a 240 by this summer ^_^ hm at least one of the two would be nice.

today was a strange day at work. i got there at 11 and start eating lunch, doing work, etc. around 1 i was told to go deliver something to a law office near biltmore. i got there and also picked up a video that needed to be copied from them. i took it down to srp's facility that copies tapes and stuff down at 27th st and washington. i get there and the lady tells me that the tape is over an hour long so it means that i'll have to wait an hour for it or go back to work and they'll call me to come and get it. knowing me, i'm not going back to work! hehe, so they told me to go wait in the break room for the time being. about 5 min later i got extremely bored and started wandering around the building. i ran into the lady again on the other side of the building and she introduces me to the guy who's copying the tape for me. he kinda shows me what he's doing and asks me if i want to watch a movie. apparently since he's the guy who does all the video work, he's got access to the video copying equipment so he did the whole "pay 20 bux and rent as many movies you want in one month" deal at blockbuster. haha, he must've had like...50+ movies in there. it was crazy. yeah so i chose 'bloodwork' starring clint eastwood. it was a fairly decent movie even though i didn't finish up watching it. however, the guy DID give the tape to me. sweeeet. so when they finished up recording it i had to take the tape back to the law office and go back to work. so all in all, i was gone a total of 3 hours. 3 hours!! exactly half the time i was supposed to work! wow...haha i love doing nothing on work time =P

*bleh* back in skool now. today was a boring, uneventful day. i went to skool and felt like sleeping in ALL of my classes. i don't think it's cuz i was tired or anything, but rather the fact that being back in skool was so incredibly dull made sleeping a better option as opposed to having trivial facts and information jammed down my throat. ai yah, why must the good times feel like they go by so fast? i can remember the first day of spring break vividly as if it were a day or two ago. oh well, i heard there's only 8 more weeks of skool anyways so i'll just have to tough it out. haha that reminds me of something i saw on "that 70's show." this one episode, red (the father) was giving a pep talk to hyde(one of the main characters). i shall paraphrase what he said.
"ya know, hyde. when you become a man, you're forced to do things that you don't want to do...*insert lengthy monologue here*...so being a man means doing stuff that you don't wanna do."

03.21.03 / 12:00pm
and the story continues:
monday - pleasantly awoke around 9am (ca time) to a call from pomona valley towing & collision. they were asking me to call the tow yard and release my car to them so they can check it out and get an estimate on it. so i did as they asked and then cleaned up a little. then went downstairs and got some breakfast. brian and bobby woke up a little later and we just hung out at my aunt's house for a while. my aunt and me were going through all the prices for the local rental car places to find the cheapest place. insurance was covering about $15/day so we didn't quite have much to choose from. in the end, we went with enterprise, the place the insurance company had a contract with. at first i had the choice between the economy class toyota echo and geo metro and knowing me, i'd go import before domestic. so my aunt and me got there and did the whole paperwork deal. after we were through with it, the lady who worked there took us out to the lot and then realized that they only had geo metros available. *gasp!* zhen zao gao! luckily my aunt, being the strong-headed, straight-forward type of person she is, began to complain about it in a more...diplomatic and subtle way. my aunt wore down the enterprise lady and she gave in. hehe it was great. she decided to give us a suzuki aerio they had sitting around. yeah sure it looks like a box, but so does the echo...AND the metro. however, i'd prefer japanese boxes to american boxes. haha. then the lady changed her mind AGAIN! she's like, "well, the aerio hasn't been washed and stuff yet so we'll just upgrade you for free to the compact class." yes! free upgrades! i <3 free stuff...except diseases. anyways, they gave me a red 2003 cavalier coupe. i guess it was ok. better than the work cavalier, but in the end it's still a cavalier. so we drove back to my aunt's and had lunch. after lunch, our misadventures led us to venice beach. we mostly shopped around even though i was a jew and didn't buy anything. at one point, there were a some random street performers doing their usual act. one of them however caught my eye. this black guy was doing this weird pop-lock stuff to a bunch of funk/dance music. haha the best part was his goofy suit and haircut. his suit was like...a zoot suit with mc hammer's parachute pant while his hair consisted of a blend between 'play' from 'kid & play' and a door stop. haha it was the best. later, we came across these cardboard cut out thingies where you put your face in the hole and take pictures. i don't know what they're called, but anyways there were a few strange ones hehe such as this or this good times hehe. then there was more shopping and we got something from this old chinese guy who was doing this calligraphy stuff from a small table he setup ont he sidewalk. it wasn't like all chinese calligraphy, but that weird....bird, ocean, scenery calligraphy stuff. eh hard to explain, but he didn't like bobby's mandarin very much =P afterwards, we finished up walking the entire length of the shopping area so we headed back and took random pictures such as bobby the life guard. haha i get a kick of the these. way too much fun here. on our way back to the car, we caught sight of a gymnastics-y place next to the famous gym on the beach where brian posed for this interesting picture. if you were bright enough to catch it, he was deliberately disobeying the sign because brian is a rebel like that. anyways, i ran around the gymnastic-y place and climbed all over the stuff, fell off, climbed on it again, wobbled, then fell off. it was good times. it reminded me of those days of being a kid on the playground. ahh such fond memories...except without all the falling. so yeah, got back to the car after that and went back to my aunt's house for dinner. after dinner, off to koreatown. yes, it was brian's idea. so at about 8:30pm we left, fully knowing that there most likely won't be many stores open. when we arrived, we were correct. the only things that were open were pool halls, restaurants, and this little gift shop. of course, we only stopped at like one shopping plaza, but that's cuz it was dark and i didn't feel like driving around much. brian was contemplating speaking korean to someone there, but sadly he missed the opportunity. however, it would've been quite funny to see someone go off in korean to him....and then most likely respond with a nod of the head and a big, fat smile. hm at least that's what i do when i don't understand ppl, even in english. anyways, went into the gift shop and bobby and brian went nuts buying stuff or at least attempting to. meanwhile, i (still being the jew) chose not to buy anything. instead i just wandered around the store aimlessly as usual, waiting for the other two to finish up their shopping. when they were in the process of buying their stuff, this korean guy rushes in. he looks about highskool/college age and he says, "hey man, i'm homeless and really hungry right now so i was wondering if you guys could like gimme a buck so i could grab a bite to eat a mcdonald's or something." boy was that awkward. we kinda shuffled around for a bit...and then the security guard tossed him out. haha. we later saw him looking hard on a nearby sidewalk as we drove by, but on with the story. they buy their stuff and then we go next door to this drink shop that actually sells boba. i didn't know korean ppl really drank boba let alone sell the stuff. it was okay i guess, not the nai cha kind, but it was an ice slushy kinda of drink with boba. when we finished the boba, we just went back home.
tuesday - that morning i was again pleasantly awoke to the sounds of my cell phone going off AGAIN! *sigh* my mom called and told me to call up some ppl from church so we can hitch a ride back with them. so we all got ready and headed out towards rowland heights again, but we went to the place my car was being kept at cuz i forgot some stuff in the car. when we got to where my car was, i pretty much took EVERYTHING out EXCEPT my beloved broadway mirror! ai yah! how will i drive without it now?!?! well, i fixed that by buying a new one a couple hours later. haha. so after picking my stuff up, we went back to rowland and ate at yi tiao long again. then got some boba from lollicup and walked around hk plaza or whatever it's called. bobby ran off and bought my aunt some sort of chinese decorative scroll thing as a thank-you gift for letting us stay at her place. fiddy bux yo! ~oi ya wouldn't think that a simple scroll type thing would cost so much. anyways, we met up with the ppl from church and just hitched a ride back to az. 5-6 hrs later, we were back. the end.
so right now the my rental car is a red 2002 ford focus sedan. it is ugly x10! xP but at least it's faster than my old corolla. not like i'd go romping the rental car or anything....or would i? hm as long as i don't get in some sort of accident i guess i'll be fine, but FORD?! *sigh*

saturday - we all planned to leave at 6:30am that day, but ended up being lazy bums and finally agreeing on no later than 10am. sadly, we couldn't even leave by 10. by the time everyone got their stuff together and stuffed it in the car, it was around 11am or so. also, just as we were getting on the road, i took the liberty of taking a picture of the odometer (for the dummies, it's the thing that counts the miles on your car/engine) when it turned to 100k miles. i drove all the way to the border and then we filled up the car with some $1.99 gas (ouch) and ate lunch. after that, back on the road with brian driving. by the time we hit the city it was raining like a mofo and i think you know the rest of the story. if not => click here for pics and a short synopsis. so after approximately 365 miles in we hydroplaned it into a wall. after a rampant onslaught of outgoing phone calls, a guy in a tow truck stopped and called AAA for us. right after he left, another accident happened right behind us that involved a pick-up and a semi. *squish* =P but yeah the AAA tow truck guy showed up and towed us to some tow yard in san dimas (yes, san dimas DOES exist). by the time we got there, i was about doing the whole insurance nonsense and hong2 got there to pick us up. we took out most of the stuff from the car and loaded it up into his awesome 1989 turbocharged volvo 760 WITH intercooler. haha. that thing is a chick magnet, all the girlies come flockin when hong's rollin in his phat ride. anyways, we headed out to rowland (heights) and got a bite to eat at 'supreme dragon/yi tiao long.' dang yo, that was the best CHEAP chinese food i've ever had. 4-6 bux for a plate and it comes with rice and suan la tang. after dinner, we all went to puente hills mall and saw 'the hunted.' apparently, i was the only one who seemed to find the movie tolerable and everyone else hated it with a passion. yeah, it was quite unbelievable at times, but it didn't really detract from the overall movie. oh well. when the movie was over we all went to diamond plaza and got some boba. sat and chilled for a while inside life plaza and then went to drop bobby off at his grandparents house. then hong2, brian, and me went back to hong's dorm at biola. ~oi talk about the 'college lifestyle', that was some messy stuff there. oh well, we only stayed there for a night so it didn't bother me that much. so from what hong2 was telling me, his roommate was a pretty strange guy. he had all these random martial arts things lying around, a how-to book on being a sniper, etc. then hong2 started telling me about all the stuff he thinks he is/can be. oh man, some bai ren are pretty strange. anyways, had to use the group bathroom which at first sounded pretty bad, but turned out ok. it wasn't as dirty as i thought it'd be. in fact, it was one of the more 'clean' bathrooms i've been to. afterwards, we just chilled for a while and brian went to sleep on two chairs and i just slept on the floor.
sunday - in the middle of the night, around 3, hong's alarm clock went off and i thought it was already 7:30am. boy was i cranky till he told me it wasn't really 7:30. then as 7:30am approached i woke up and kinda lay there for a while, trying to wake myself up. then i went to get ready for church. good thing i brought dress clothes with me even though i wasn't planning on going anywhere that required them. i learned that no matter what, always bring at least some with you on a trip cuz you never know when you'll need them. so we all got ready and got breakfast at mcdonalds. mmm sausage mcmuffin with egg and cheese *drool* sounds good right now. we ate at church and then hong2 preached in the first service. haha i can still remember what he talked about so that must mean it was good. as for the second service, i was nodding off hardcore so i just went outside and took a nap. kanyon called and woke me up. by this time the next day, everyone at church i guess found out. hm wonder who told EVERYONE? *cougherincough* so yeah after the sermon, hong2 had to go to a meeting so we went to check out this guy's car. 94 sentra se-r. eh not bad for a fwd car i guess. by the time we were through with looking at the car, hong got out of the meeting and we went to lunch at some small mian jia in rowland. i ordered niu ro mian...mmm...so hungry now. yeah it was pretty good except they left out the suan cai so i had to ask for it. what's funny was that almost all the ppl at the restaurant were from the church so everyone was like talking across the room and stuff. crazy i tell ya. after lunch, we kinda wandered around the shopping plaza for a while. we stopped at some koi fish place and dicked around there for a while. didn't really do much, in fact, we were probably a nuisance considering bobby knocked some stuff over while we were there. hm i can't remember if it was bobby exactly, but i know that whenever something went wrong due to clumsiness, it was probably bobby. so yeah we called jamie and woke her up. it was about....2:30 in the afternoon. jeez, what does that kid do all night? anyways, we head over to irvine and hang out in jamie's dorm for a while. not much has changed considering i was just there 2 months ago. as usual, we cause some sort of disturbance from being overly rowdy to just some other random crap such as...yeah we won't get into that. went to southcoast(?) mall and wandered around there. it was the first time i'd ever seen a gucci, prada, armani, etc store. i felt like sucha "country bumpkin in the big city." hm...gay phrase, but you get the idea. oh and the best store had to be the lacoste store aka the store with the ALLIGATOR ON THE CLOTHES! WOO HOO! i love those shirts! i remember wearing them when i was a kid. hehe, i even went looking for some at a thrift store once, but ended up settling for a cheap, knock-off called "le tigre", the one with the tiger. then i realized that lacoste shirts were friggin expensive. even though i'm a "baller" who rented an "escalade" on wheels known as "dubs", i still wouldn't pay the outrageous price they wanted for that shirt. in fact, it was so outrageous i chose to forget how much it cost. man....so expensive. wait, how much did it cost? um moving on, no one bought anything so we just left, dropped jamie and her suitemate off at uci. afterwards, we all went back to rowland to meet up with my aunt at diamond plaza. hong2 left and brian, bobby, and me went to sam woo for dinner with my aunt and uncle. mmm good stuff. we ordered so much food, yet still managed to finish it all. i <3 jiao yen pai gu. also, there was a wedding going on at the same time and it was really loud due to the mc. she was freakin like...50 years old and was screaming her head off. omg, chinese ppl are way too loud. haha what's worse (and funny at the same time) was that they started singing karaoke. a person can only endure so much of this so after dinner we all walked up and down the small strip mall and went into the movie/music store. my aunt bought the movie 'hero', but i didn't get a chance to watch it sadly. i've been trying, not very hard, to get a hold of it for a month or two now. so yeah after that we all just went back to my aunt's house.
monday and tuesday: coming tomorrow.....
song of the moment:
notorious b.i.g. - "i'm going back to cali"
probably would've been more appropriate BEFORE i left, but whatever.
