hm...very late...or very early. eh, whatever. right now i'm hungry and tired, but i'm still on the computer for some weird reason. reading too much car forum stuff and searching for the lowest prices on car parts. anyways, got back from tucson yesterday. took a 2 day, 1 night trip there. pretty good cuz we actually accomplished everything we planned on doing according to janson. so here it goes:

friday - we left that night and i find out i'm super blind at night so janson took over the driving responsibilites. once we got off the freeway in tucson i thought an underpass was a large body of water. that's how jacked my eyes are at night =P so we picked up bwee from his dorm and drove down speedway. to our surprise a redneck mulletmobile aka iroc-z type of camaro outta the 80's wanted to race. his car sounded like literal crap though. it's as though his engine had diarrhea cuz that's how bad it sounded. he kept revving the crap engine and it just got annoying. what's worse is that the retard didn't take a clue that we weren't interested in racing yet followed us into hong's neighborhood. that's when janson busts out the angry driver skills and loses them. good times. we chilled at hong's then went to go get some mexican food at los betos. their hot sauce went down the wrong pipe for me when i was eating it and it friggin' owned me. omfg, it was burning soooooo bad, but eventually subsided. tried watching 'shanghai knights', but ended up being too tired to finish it so we went to hong's room and he showed us this japanese cartoon called 'prince of tennis'. dang, those japanese must be running out of good ideas to be resorting to such non-supahcoorayzee subject matter such as tennis. after that i crashed. so tired.

saturday - janson yells at me to wake up and i go clean up and get ready for bwee's med-start graduation. we get there on time and meet up with nono, funfun, woody, tyna and her mom. bwee goes to change in his dorm and it takes a while, but he finally arrives. the food wasn't superb, but it was free so i couldn't really complain. woody wanted to go outside so me and him went to wander around the building. i found out spitting off balconies is fun. wheee! bombs away! muahaha! anyways, the ceremony and everything finished up and we had to wait for bwee to pack up his stuff in his dorm (which btw took forever) then had lunch at sushi-ten. it'd been a while since i had sushi so it was pretty good. bwee and me kept using the h.o.t. fob english "poh-li-suh" (please). good times. everything was "gimme this poh-li-suh, gimme that poh-li-suh." then woody was getting out of line and wouldn't finish his leftover banana bread from breakfast so i made him a deal that if i ate a wad of wasabi, he'd have to finish the bread. man, the wasabi wasn't that bad at all, but that kid still needs to finish his bread. after lunch, janson, bwee and me head over to park place mall (?) to go meet up with hong and janson's friend then see 'bad boys 2.' century theatres is soooo expensive. $8.50 for a ticket! wtf? never going there again. hong's theory is that it's run by the mafia. most likely i'd say. no receipts, only take cash, not even a normal window, just guys behind a counter taking money. it's gotta be the mafia. when the movie was over, hong had to rush to work and we we decided to go visit him there. we ended up eating dinner there and it was alright. tasted like all the other chinese buffets out there except for the guy in the back who takes orders to freshly grill some of the meat. after dinner, we stop by hong's house to chill and say goodbye. leave around 8-ish and get back to town 9:30 and go to matt's house. just hangout there for a while and watch this weird movie called 'strangelife/land', i forgot. by midnight i was home.

so i learned that tucson is a desolate, boring place (more so than phx) and the only thing cool there is having friends there.

well it's been a while since i've bothered to write anything in here. there are several reasons why:

1. moved from the old house to one across the street from chandler fashion

2. been busy with work and all it's annoying little quirks

3. i'm just too lazy to take the time to write

so that pretty much sums everything that's been going on lately. we're moved into the house now and have been here for about a week or so. all we have left at the old house are some random non-essential items in the garage. well, 5 years in that house. it's been a while since i've stayed in one place for that long. oh well, had some good memories (and bad ones) at that house. i'll always remember it as the house i spent my high skool years in. anyways, enough reminiscing (sp?) about this. another reason that i've kinda been neglecting this is also due to the fact that most of my time spent on the internet now is done researching car parts for my soon-to-be-badass 240. yes...it will be badass. more so than asian prince. note: his name "wo hen nan-kan" in chinese = i r teh ugree. hehe. anyawys, here's a couple things coming up:

1. car alarm - just for a little peace of mind and the cool remote that unlocks my doors for me

2. tint - so it's harder to see inside the car, duhhh.

3. struts/shocks - kyb agx all the way. southwest autoworks quoted me at $365.00 for the entire set. all the other options (tokico hts, gab super hp) were just way too expensive for a tad bit more performance. not worth it imo.

4. springs - toss up between tanabe gf210 (grip feeling. funny name huh?) or the suspension techniques. they lower about the same (~1.3"), but the spring rates for the tanabe's seem to be stiffer in the rear = more oversteer! hopefully not too much, but apparently good for drifting. however, right now i'm waiting for a group buy to fall through on az240...should be interesting.

5. strut tower bars - mvp motorsports quoted me at $158.00 shipped for cusco os'. wanna get both the front and rear ones though so it should be $308.00 shipped? best deal i've found so far. although machiii.net had them for $150.00 each shipped, they never responded to my email.

6. wheels & tires - 5zigen FN01R-C's in either 17 x 8 all around or 17 x8 (front) and 17 x 9 (rear). might go with 17 x 8 all around since it's a little cheaper. as for color, i really like bronze wheels, but i don't think it'll go too good with my car so maybe the usual gray-ish color or white. also, i've heard that the workers at discount tire can order these up at a discount price so i've been looking into getting a job there, but none of them are hiring currently. so i'm probably gonna get them from autoimaging.com for now.

so that's pretty much it for the near future. i wanted to do all the suspension first, but no coilovers. too expensive and i don't think a beginner like myself could handle them nor get the full benefit out of them until i get used to my car more. so i'm considering auto-crossing and other types of events to get a better understanding of how the car works and feels. after i start to get this down, definitely gonna try to get some more power out of the car aka turbo, but that might be 2-3 years down the road seeing as turbo kits = $3,500+ and that's if i install it myself. besides the above mentioned, there's areas such as brakes, interior, exterior i'll probably address sometime between now and the turbo so hopefully i can find a job to pay for all of this =P

i'm back home. kinda glad, kinda not, but oh well. here's the rest of the trip:

wednesday 6.25 - went out to bellevue and checked out bellevue square. pretty nice mall and it's built in the shape of an H. kinda strange. anyways, after the mall we went to have lunch at my aunt's house. lunch was good and then food coma set in and i was out. woke up an hour or two later, i lost count. hung around there for a while my aunt and her friend's chatted like the loud chinese ppl they are. we left that evening and had dinner at uncle no. 3's house. one of his son's has a little pony tail like anakin skywalker. it's funny. anyways, my uncle recently started studying a japanese martial art called iaido (sp?). he let me play with his sword. it was pretty neat. my cousin also studies it with him so i guess the jedi pony tail is pretty justified now, but he's a good kid.

thursday 6.26 - my cousins, their friend, charis and me went to a local theme park called 'enchanged village.' it was recently bought out by six flags, but six flags hasn't completely redone the park so there's like...2 roller coasters there along with all the old rides that are something you'd find at carnivals. charis and me hit the park up while the cousins went to the waterpark right next to it. the 2 rollercoasters were alright, nothing spectacular. then charis and me rode this little ghetto one that looks like it belongs at a carnival and it friggin sucked. the hairpin turns caused my ribs to smash and thighs to smash into the hard plastic sides of the car. apparently, the safety restraints didn't quite do their job. pieces of crap. then we went on this log ride where we didn't expect to get wet on cuz i'm pretty sure the last time we were there we didn't get wet. sadly, we were incredibly wrong. we both got soaked. mahderfawker. yeah, the rest of the day was pretty uneventful.

friday 6.27 - hung out around uncle no. 7's house most of the day and then my cousin came over and we watched 'old skool.' funny movie. after that she took all the other cousins and me out. it was one of those random shopping outings, but nothing to exciting. that night a big bunch of relatives came over for dinner. i sold knives to them =P dinner was pretty good. my aunt cooked up some peruvian spaghetti which is pretty much pesto sauce on angel hair pasta with some steak strips over it. later, there was mad karaoke going on. plenty of the old skool chinese favorites from the one and only deng li jun/theresa teng. yes, even i participated in the chinese karaoke. pretty crazy, huh? yeah well you're never gonna see that. muahaha.

saturday 6.28 - slept late, work up early again. it sucked, but i got up anyways. we were at the airport almost 2 hours early so i just went to the magazine stand and read magazines for a while. the flight back was alright. some turbulence, but nothing big. we got back around 5 or so and had dinner at a chinese buffet near the old applebees.

so pretty much a good trip. i'm glad i got to get out of here for 2 weeks. the weather was so much nicer even though the last couple days were kinda warmer than average. then the food. omg. so good. coffee everyday and the seafood up there was good. so good. also, the roads up there. so good for drifting. a lot of windy mountain backroads you can hit up. ahhh so good! although mountain roads are also steep at parts which i don't like. oh well. nice trade-off. the scenery has an ungodly amount of green. it's like overkill. although az has almost none, piece of crap desert. so cali is right in the middle in terms of amount of trees. another reason i like cali so much. not excessively one or the other. anyways, also glad to be back although i kinda think i will switch jobs now. cutco's not quite working out for me anymore. although i think it's pretty cool, i don't think it's for me. i don't like brining work home with me. i don't like mixing business with pleasure. so i'm job-hunting again. oh well, at least i didn't fail miserably at this job.

ok, here's...the rest of the story:

friday 6.20 - it rained all day. so it was pretty gloomy and what not, but nothing out of the ordinary for the great pacific northwest. for lunch, we went to one of the many little restaurants on kingsway, a main street with lotsa asian stores in vancouver. the restaurant we ate at was called 'honolulu cafe', i think, and it was one of those chinese restaurants that served american food, but all chinese-y. for example, they have spaghetti, but all...chinese-y. kinda weird. food was alright. i was expecting better, but oh well. after lunch, we went to metro-something mall. obviously i forgot the name, but it started with metro. as for the mall, it was big. bigger than fashion square...by 2-3 times. not only that, but half the ppl there were chinese so it was kinda like being back in china. almost. anyways, most of the stores there i had never heard of so that just goes to show that canada is even more strange and weird. what's cool though is that their food court is massive as well. so they offer a wide variety of foods from indian (tricky india indians), american, asian, even mexican. now i stress the mexican cuz there were almost none up there. even in the seattle area i hardly saw any. there was such a lack of mexicans up there that even at the mexican restaurants they had to hire chinese ppl to work there. kind've the opposite in az where the mexicans cook the chinese food thus being the reason why it sucks so much =P anyways, went back to uncle no. 2's house and i played ps2. omfg i <3 video games so much now. haha. i played 'onimusha 2' and that game was sooooo fun. now i'm considering getting a ps2 when i get back. so around dinner time, the entire family goes out to dinner at a restaurant i think that was called 'rose garden' or something fruity like that. that meal was by far the best meal i've had since i've been here. mmmm steamed crab in cream sauce over noodles, yen jiao pai gu (even though you can get this just about anywhere), and i forgot the other dishes, but they were really good. after dinner, we went back to uncle no. 2's house and i played more 'onimusha 2.' it was good times.

saturday 6.21 - this was our last day in canada. kinda good, kinda bad. no more awesome chinese food, but no more EXTREMELY TERRIBLE ENGLISH. that morning we stopped by chinatown and we parked in front of this run down old building with a sign that said something like, "this building has been costing me over $275,000 in legal fees since 1997. this is horrible, shame, and ridiculous..." hahaha omg canada just keeps pumping out the worst english ever, but i guess it's cuz it was in chinatown. so we went to this one shopping center in chinatown and i got some air freshner stuff for my car cuz it smells really weird. at the shopping center, charis spotted this old man who looked like a turtle. he had an almost bald head, underbite, long neck, and kinda hunched over so his green sweatshirt made it look like he had a shell. haha and he used an umbrella as a cane and was moving at a speed of about 1 mph. sadly, we didn't have a camera so we just stood there and laughed at him. after finishing up in chinatown, we started heading back to 'the states' as they call it in canada. see how weird they are? anyways, the line to cross the border was soooo long. no wonder mexicans hop the southern border...besides not wanting to go through the entire legalization process, but rather the insanely long lines it takes to drive through customs. piece of crap. when we finally got back to the good part of north america, we stopped off at a small outlet mall. 2 years ago, it was decent. now it had withered away into barely anything. pretty crappy. never going there again. we met up with uncle no. 7's family and went to aunt no. 7's brother's house (no relation). that house was incredibly nice. a 4 story house in a secluded community up in the hillside next to a lake. the road to get up to the house however was by far THE steepest road i've ever driven on. i seriously thought we'd just roll back down cuz it was like roller coaster steep. anyways, got a tour of the bling-bling house and ate dinner there. got bored afterwards and started calling ppl. later, played some pool with the cousins at a local pool hall which luckily wasn't frequented by masses of ghetto asians.

sunday 6.22 - we had planned on going back to pike place market that day, but we woke up too late for it so we just stopped by my grandfather's grave located in lakeview cemetary. as always after seeing my grandfather, we stop by bruce lee's grave. no joke. i'm serious. he's buried in the same cemetary along with his son, brandon. while we were there we noticed a card on the grave and charis opened it up and it was dated 06.24.03, two days ahead. pretty strange. not only that, but it was in another language so...yeah. pretty strange ppl frequent that site excluding us, of course. afterwards, we went to aunt no. 1's house for dinner. saw uncle no. 3 and family, oldest cousins, etc. haven't seen them in a couple years. overall, a good time. my biu guo/biao ge whom i hadn't seen in a while drives a mildly modded 96' gsr and told me he's looking to sell it for around $6k so if anyone's interested, let me know.

monday 6.23 - had lunch down in chinatown at some place called "kao kao." apparently, my grandpa used to work there along with some other relatives so we kinda knew the ppl that worked there. the food was aight, but what was funny was that there was this little chubby kid there. he was the owners grandson. the thing about him was that he reminded me of this older guy that goes to our church. like they both had kind've a round, wide face with short hair. hard to explain, but i got a kick out of it. after lunch we went back to pike place market. charis was looking for a belt buckle of some sort. i think she narrowed it down to a guitar one and one that said, "redneck and proud of it" or something. the only that caught my eye was the naked lady one, but i think that would've been too tacky for my tastes =P so we wandered around and saw the fish throwing guys again and i wondered how you get a job at a place like that considering that it is a pretty big tourist attraction. then there was the mexican guy with the guitar that looked like he was gonna explode when he sang cuz he tried to hard. he was pretty loud and when you're not that great at singing yet you sing really loud, you should probably stfu, but he didn't. oh well, i guess ya gotta make a living somehow, but i don't think it's gonna be through massively terrible music. oh yeah, and he was fat. hahahahahaha. then we stopped by starbucks for a drink and i swear that half the ppl there are flamin' gay, but i guess this yuppie, well-dressed, coffee connoisseur image kinda sums up gay ppl in general.

tuesday 6.24 - well my cousin was supposed to leave for shanghai today, but some mechanical problems caused the flight to be canceled so he's bummin around the house for another day. anyways, today we went out to lunch with my chiang gong (i dunno the mandarin translation, but my grandpa's youngest brother). it was crazy since he knew like everyone there. i guess he hangs out in chinatown too much. after lunch, we visited my great grandpa's grave. nothing exciting nor spectacular, but when is visiting cemetaries exciting? afterwards, we went back to chinatown and stopped by this japanese grocery store called owajimaya or something. pretty neat. looked for car stuff, but i couldn't really find anything i wanted. then they had stuff i wanted to decorate my room, but i was too lazy to buy it and try to pack it in my luggage so i'll just pick them up in cali sometime. got some boba at this place called gossip. the girl at the counter was pretty cute, but the placed reeked of smoke apparently from "ghetto viets" according to my cousin. lo and behold, there were ghetto viets smoking away upstairs. way to go, char-lie. when i got back to uncle no. 7's house, i just crashed and took a 2 hour nap, woke up and then tried to catch up on some car forum stuff i've been missing.

well i'll be back saturday evening so i'll see ya all soon. thanks to all the ppl who've called or left comments. as for the rest of you ::shakes head in disappointment:: =P

so i've finally got a hold of a computer and decided not to be lazy and write something in here. past week or so has been pretty cool. not too exciting, but pretty kicked back and what not. so i'll break it down for ya:

friday 6.13 - had to take care of some last minute things before we left for seattle. dropped pepper off at eric's house and then realized that eric lives in the same neighborhood as josh (and should be going to mesquite =P). stopped by josh's for a second and then went to the mall to buy some stuff. when i got home, i finished packing and we were off to the airport. hm airports. i don't like them. the worst part would have to be the security. they're so anal! i was wearing flip-flops and they still made me take them off and put them through the machine. paranoid. i hate that. anyways, after that i just sat near the boarding gate and read my magazines. the flight wasn't too bad. i didn't run into any rude ppl on my flight so that was good. it took about 3 hours to get to seattle and then one of my uncle's picked us up. ok, before i keep going, i'm going to give all my uncle's a number by oldest to youngest like in chinese so no one gets confused...or actually they might still get confused. they're all on my dad's (5th brother) side of the family so for ex: oldest uncle - "dai bok/da buo", 6th uncle - "luk suk/liu shu." i translated the mandarin from toi san so i'm not sure if this is what they use to refer to your father's brothers in mandarin so please try to bear with me.

saturday 6.14 - that morning we went to go pick up a rental car for uncle no. 7 so we could borrow his minivan. on the way their my aunt forgot her passport back in LA so we couldn't go to canada like we planned to that day, but we got the car anyways and chilled at uncle no. 7's house. i hung out with my cousin and we saw 'the italian job' which was actually pretty good. then that night went father's day shopping at northgate mall. it sure is hard shopping for my dad since i'm not sure what to get him on any occasion so i did the easy thing and just made him a card...er had charis make him a card and i signed it =P

sunday 6.15 - father's day that morning and i was supposed to wake up and help cook breakfast, but me being the lazy bum that i am, just slept in and let everyone else do all the work. that afternoon we went to pike place market in downtown seattle and looked around. it's a pretty nice place. nothing really fun, but just a nice lazy sunday afternoon stroll. however, the good thing about that place is the food. oh man, gourmet everything. then the view of the peugeot (sp?) sound (kinda like a bay where the pacific ocean pokes in) from the public market was really nice. definitely a kodak moment. that night we went to uncle no. 6's house.

monday 6.16. - we drove down to ocean park which is near the border to oregon. it took like 2-3 hours. ocean park is one of those sleepy little ocean side towns where the houses actually have yards and the main commodity is seafood. there are so many trees out there. the houses were practically embedded into the forests. it looked like a nice place to spend the weekend relaxing and taking it easy, but if i lived there i'd be bored to death. for lunch, we went to this local seafood place someone recommended. man, i hadn't had good seafood in a while. fish and chips with tartar sauce. mmm so good. at one of the stores we stopped in, it had a sign that said something like, "do not pet local buffalo. you will be gored." then there was a sign by the side of the road that said, "morehead park." haha i wish i took pictures of those.

tuesday 6.17 - sat around all day and did nothing. just played gameboy advance cuz i'm a bum like that. that evening, there was a bbq and some relatives came over. i ended up making water balloons for all the kids. so i sat there for at least an hour just filling up water balloons and tying them up. oh well. at least they had fun.

wednesday 6.18 - finally, my aunt got her passport and we left for canada. when we got there we stopped at one of the MANY chinese shopping centers in richmond. my parents flipped out over some of the fruit you couldn't get in america, but you could buy in canada. so while they were obsessing over the fruit, charis and me wandered around the plaza. we saw this guy who looked half-chinese and had this crew of fobby girls with him. he was dressed all in black, slightly overweight, and looked like the biggest fag ever. what finally topped it off those was when he drove off, he was driving...a TOYOTA MATRIX! how gay is that? haha. not only that, but charis and me saw this lady with THE BIGGEST FOREHEAD EVER! canada = freak show. then we went to uncle no. 2's house in vancouver. anyways, for those of you who haven't been to canada, it is THE weirdest place ever. i mean, it's cool cuz there's a buttload of chinese ppl and it's practically hong kong there, but everything else is just a little bit odd. for example, they spell things weird. for ex: center = centre, honor = honour, color = colour, favorite = favourite, jewelry = jewellry. WTF IS UP WITH THAT?! then the garbage cans had a button you had to push inside the handle so you could open it. they were tricky like indians. also, canadians not only eat their french fries with ketchup/katsup, but also VINEGAR! omfg wtf is wrong with them? hehe so many acronyms. anyways, canada is weird. end of story.

thursday 6.19 - went up to whistler. it's about 1 1/2 hours north of vancouver. it's a nice ski resort, but we went at the wrong time of year. everything was closed. not that we were gonna ski/snowboard or anything, but even the other stuff you could do up there was pretty much not in season. so charis and me went to the food court area and played gamecube for an hour or two. good times. that night on our way back to uncle no. 2's house, we stopped by chinatown in vancouver and had dinner. mmmmmm sooooo goood. *drool* yes, you should all be jealous now. muahaha.

anyways, time for me to sleep. i'll finish this up when i have time this week. . i REALLY miss my car *sigh*...oh and everyone back home of course =P hehe. hope you're all doing good. be back next saturday!

hey everybody, it's been a while. lotsa stuff's happened since the last entry so today's entry should be good...well...at least informative (in an exciting way). well the two main things are my job and my car. first, my job. now june 6th was my last day at srp. again, a pretty uneventful day at work. i go there, read some newspapers, copy the clippings, etc. i uploaded all the files that i could online and then just deleted the rest off the hard drive. i remembered that i copied some episodes of initial d onto the computer wayyyyy back last summer so i had to delete those too. other than that, no real big goodbye or anything. i didn't get a pizza party like the last intern did so that was pretty wack. then i had to turn in my badge and parking decal before i left and i was considering removing the front portion of the badge since the way they renew your badge is they stick a new front on it. this way i could've still gotten into the building. as for the parking sticker, el trucko still has one on it hehe. anyways, srp = out and vector marketing = in. thursday through saturday i had training. now training was 5 hours a day and reminiscent of a concentration camp. yep, no bathroom breaks, no lunch, etc. and it was sooooo long! well, i'm just glad it's over with now. last weekend was a pretty good weekend. made a couple sales so i'm happy. on monday i found out that out of my group, i was the one who made the most sales. YAY! then i got my first promotion. no more dinky 10% commission, now it's 15% and i got put on the "keystaff" which means that i'm special. now not only does my mommy say i'm special, but my boss does too! so even though this job is keeping me extremely busy, i'm getting well reimbursed for my time *wink wink*. next, my car. boy i <3 my car. so i'm getting around ok driving stick. haven't really stalled unless i tried something stupid like trying to start in 2nd gear when i'm near a dead-stop and didn't give it enough gas. other than that, maybe i'll miss a gear now and then and accidentally rev the engine kinda high and then kinda cruise slowly until i can get it into gear. finally, grinding the gears when i'm shifting. omg, that seriously is the worst noise in the world. it's 10x worse than fingernails on a chalkboard. everytime i mess up and do that, i kinda get the chills from it. anyways, as for the car itself, it's real nice. the turning radius is a lot shorter/smaller (?), aka less 3-point turns in close quarters, the torque-y 2.4L KA engine is a lot better than the old corolla's 1.6L 4AF, and just the feel of the car is a lot more solid and precise due to the somewhat stiffer struts & springs and stock anti-sway bars (cuz it's an SE). so now i'm uber-happy with my car. however, if i were to mod it, it won't happen anytime soon. i think it's best to learn to get a feel for the car and learn to drive it at it's limits first. then again, if some parts were to go bad, don't expect me to just throw new oem parts on. it's all aftermarket from here on out =P

well, life seems to have gotten better since last week. before, i was pretty disappointed in myself for managing to screw up all the great things that i had like my job, my scholarship, etc. however, last friday i went to an interview at vector marketing and managed to get the job. also, i posted several ads online for a 240sx and got a couple replies and i'm in contact with one of the guys trying to sell his car. so things are turning around. although, still no call back from any of the banks i applied to and not sure what i'm gonna do about the lack of scholarship next semester. bleh, whatever enough about me.

so i got an email from my aunt about the whole sars epidemic. it's kinda funny cuz it reminds me about what josh said about koreans not getting sars cuz they eat kimchi. he stated the reason why it prevents sars is because of the garlic in it. at first, i was kinda skeptical (actually i still am), but this popped up and got my attention:

Garlic 1 clove
Ginger a few slices
Lemon juice 1 table spoon
Honey 1 tea spoon

Mince and press the garlic and ginger in a cup, add the lemon juice and honey, then add boiling hot water to it, mix and brew for a while. Drink and eat the entire content.

Since the ingredients garlic, ginger, lemon, honey and water are all good for health, I feel confident enough to pass this information to you.

The story went that a certain doctor in Hong Kong contracted a severe flu in Jan. this year. At that time nobody even knew about SARS, but she was so severely ill that she thought she was going to die in spite of all the antiviral agents and antibiotics she was taking. Then she remembered the book that she read about the alleged prophecy and alleged remedy, she tried this brew. Miraculously, she recovered almost immediately. However, she has passed the disease to her daughter, so she gave the same remedy to her daughter and she too recovered quickly. Meanwhile, her nurse contracted the sickness too, so she gave that to the nurse and she immediately recovered without the use of any other medication.

I leave it to the reader to discern what this means, to believe or not to believe. You are free to pass on this information, in fact, a friend even suggested that I should e-mail this to WHO, but I don't know their e-mail address, you, however, can do that if you like. Or, if you don't believe it, simply delete it.

Until you hear from the news that all the people in Hong Kong are suddenly cured of SARS and the supermarkets all ran out of garlic and ginger, it is difficult to be certain. Meanwhile, be happy, stay healthy and smell garlicky.

black ppl = the best

reading through the newspapers at work today i ran across this article on sars. the thing about this one is that one section had some wording i found quite humorous. it was talking about how viruses normally weaken after the first couple generations, but the sars virus, after going through a chain of 15 people, is still as strong as it was before. anyways, here's the quote:

"With an incubation period of about 10 days, that would be three chinks a month in the chain, so that's how we come up with the 15."
- "Experts say SARS, unlike most viruses, not losing its punch over time." by Emma Ross, Associated Press, The Daily Courier. Friday, May 23, 2003. Page 11A.

haha three chinks a month. i hope no one takes this the wrong way =P

*sigh* back in az now. bay area was fun and the weather was even better. so here's what happened:

thursday - on the flight back home, my dad and me were the last couple ppl getting on the plane. we decided not to check in our luggage and just carry it on with us. we kept looking for some space in the overhead bins, but there weren't any left and ppl kept staring at us cuz of it. it got kinda annoying so we had to give it to one of the stewardesses. in the process of looking for space though, i turned around and this lady friggin hits my backpack! not like i hit her, but she purposely pushed my backpack. i wanted to slap the crap outta her face at that point, but i had to sit down cuz the plane was getting ready to go. jeez, stupid ppl on that plane. i can see why those terrorists chose to blow up the wtc with planes cuz plane-ppl are friggin retarded. oh well, after a while i calmed down and just started reading magazines. we arrived at oakland airport around 6-7pm ish. the weather was cool and windy, but it wasn't too bad. my uncle picked us up and we went to my grandma's house and ate dinner. not much happened that day.

friday - went to oakland's chinatown to do some grocery shopping for my mom. couldn't find what she wanted, but my dad and me had dim sum while we were there. after that we went to sf's chinatown where we got what my mom asked for and just looked around. didn't find too much that interested me there. while i was waiting for my dad to buy something in a store, this lady asks me for directions to vallejo st. so i just pointed in a direction and said, "i think it's a couple blocks that way." hehe. well i checked with my dad and it turns out i was right. oh well. we left chinatown and went and got some boba in newark by newpark mall. good times. my dad decided to look around this hardware store nearby and a majority of the items inside DID NOT have price tags. i found that slightly odd, but whatever. after that we just went back to my grandma's. what a waste of a friday night.

saturday - like every satuday, i bummed around the house till the afternoon when my dad decided he wanted to go to mccarthy ranch in milpitas. everytime we come back, we always go there, but for good reason. dang, that place has SO many nice cars. outside this jewelry store was a benz cl amg. it was so hot. then i saw a benz sl amg, red fd rx-7, yellow mk4 supra, and just a buttload of modified imports. this one 98-02 accord sedan had this chameleon paint on it. looked kinda weird yet gross at the same time. then i saw an s14b (angry eyes) with a wangan-type wing and body kit. unfortunately, STOCK SE RIMS! ~oi so much fender gap. it looked kinda gross, even for a 240. anyways, looked around and almost bought an initial d comic that was in chinese, but decided against it cuz i'm a jew. got some boba and that was about it. we went back and got ready for the wedding banquet that night. tried to get there by six cuz that's when it was supposed to start. when we got there my dad asked if i had the wedding gift. uh-oh. we both forgot to bring it. eh, no biggie. then as we entered the restaurant, we went in through the side entrance and did not recognize a single person at the banquet. it turns out we went through the wrong wedding banquet. oops. turns out the one we were supposed to go to was on the other side of the restaurant. so we get there and sign-in and talk with some ppl. ya know what? there's hardly anyone there! freakin' chinese ppl. always late. so i got bored and went outside and just started calling ppl. after about a half-hour my dad comes outside and tells me it's starting. we get back in and they do the whole intro, speech, etc business. so by now, it's about 7:30 and i'm starving. food starts coming out = me happy. the food itself wasn't too bad. they didn't give me a small bowl for rice though so it was kinda hard eating food off a plate with chopsticks, but i guess i should've expected that going to a somewhat-americanized chinese restaurant. so i ate, my dad talked with some relatives, and it was pretty much over by 10pm.

sunday - went to church with my grandma. it was alright. saw some old friends and we caught up. good times. then my uncle drops me off at my dad's friend's house in daly city so i could meet up with my dad. sat and talked for a while. then they fed me a lot. their house is pretty interesting. they built a seperate living space downstairs with a kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms. now it's being rented out to some ppl. some ppl = 5 ppl. haha it must be pretty cramped down there. afterwards, we went to another relative's house. he was an uncle (dad's cousin) whom i hadn't seen in...years quite possibly. sat and talked and he gave us some food. anyways, his house was pretty nice. a lot of wood interior stuff. hardwood floors, wood panels on the walls, wood furniture, etc. downstairs he kinda remodeled a room so it matched the upstairs. pretty nice. also, he's a big elvis fan and he does sings for parties and stuff. at one point, i heard he was an elvis impersonator. haha yeah pretty interesting. well downstairs he's got some pretty nice sound equipment. the whole sch-bang. he's pretty good at the guitar too, but i figure if you're gonna be an elvis impersonator, you have to be good at it. after we left we visited another one of my dad's friends. again, we sat and talked for a while and they fed us again. he used to have a whole room filled with aquariums with different types of fish in them, but now it's kinda dwindled down to a small pond a room downstairs. anyways, we left and went back to union city to my uncle's (mom's brother) house. we picked him up and went out to dinner at fresh choice. fresh choice = pretty much sweet tomato, but better. it was kinda neat though cuz it was located at this huge fairly new shopping center nearby. it was my first time there even though it's been open for 2-3 years i think. before they built that, there used to be a drive-in theater there. dang, so old skool. now i kinda wanna go to a drive-in theater just to see what it's like. so yeah, we went there and it parking was pretty much non-existent. eventually, found a spot and walked allllll the way over to fresh choice. food was pretty good, but i wasn't too hungry. kinda sucks when you go to a buffet. after dinner, went back to my uncle's house and sat and talked, no food though. my dad and me left and went to another family friend's house. i've known there son ever since he was a kid so we kinda grew up together. well now he's a freshman in high skool. jeez...time sure does go by quickly. so we played cs and i semi-sucked, semi-did decent. good times.

monday - woke up and went with my dad to go visit his friend at his coffee/bakery shop. got some food there and just listened to them talk. i noticed i've been drinking a lot of coffee lately. i hope i don't get addicted or anything. on our way back, we were making a right turn and my dad yielded to oncoming traffic and as we were through the turn this jackass in a honda civic speeds by and starts cussing at us. i wasn't quite sure what he was saying at first, but then i realized. that fucker then proceeds to spit and throw shit out of his car. omg...i so wanted to cause him grievous bodily harm at that point. what's funny though is my dad commented, "ya know, if he did this in chinatown, the police probably wouldn't find his body." MUAHAHAHA! that'll be one day making them disappear =P j/k. so i learned from then on that the saying is true, just about all young/teenage honda owners = wack. ok two jokes:

q: what is the difference between a porcupine and a honda civic?
a: a porcupine's pricks are on the outside.

q: what are the similarities between tampons and honda civics?
a: every pussies got one

after that little incident we went to check out our rental property aka my old house. jeez, once i stepped inside i noticed how everything seemed so much smaller now. dang, it was kinda strange. *sigh* i miss home. the property manager and my dad went through all the recent repairs and checked how they were, etc. we finished up and went back to my grandma's for lunch. after lunch my dad wanted to meet up with some friend's of his. we ended up going to a noodle house and eating again. now that i think about it, the last couple days i was there, i don't remember ever being hungry. i just kept eating, regardless if i was full or not. after what you could call our 2nd lunch, we all went back to my dad's friend's house and they talked while i watched tv. i eventually just fell asleep on the couch since i hadn't been getting much sleep the past couple days. afterwards we just went back to my grandma's for dinner. tuesday - didn't do much that day since we planned on getting to the airport by 1. checked our luggage in at the airport and just sat and waited for the flight to board. my dad wanted to get on early this time so we got in line early. unfortunately, he went to go get food when the line started moving and i had to get out of line and wait for him to get back. flight back was ok. no ppl aggravated me so that's good. from then on it was just an uneventful flight back home.

should've slept earlier last night. i ended up getting to bed around 2am this morning cuz i was just sitting around on the computer. today at work i read exactly 24 newspapers. took me 4 hours straight. oh and i just found out today that they're not keeping me on as an intern anymore. as of june 6th i will be out of a job. dang, those places i applied to need to reply faster...if they even decide to reply at all. argh, must get new job. also, my mom offered to pitch in some money towards the car now, but i'm not sure if i should take it. although, it will help me afford a car in better condition, now that they've pitched in money they technically have the right to tell me what i can and cannot do with the car aka modifying certain aspects of it. ~oi we'll see. oh and i'm officially scholarship-less now. dammit. checked my grades online and i got a B in math and chinese, C in econ, and it didn't say what i got in english, but i'm leaning towards A. so now i'm relying on getting a job at a place that has some tuition reimbursement. probably should start checking into other sources of financial aid too. argh, me = failure.

well, it turns out i didn't get fired today. why did i think i would get fired? well it all stems from what happened yesterday after my mom got home from the gym with my sister. she checked the answering machine and lo & behold, my supervisor calls wondering where i was. oops. i didn't call in sick yesterday cuz i already did on monday and was hoping that they'd figure it out on their own that i was still sick, but obviously i thought wrong. so i freaked and called her back, but by that time everyone already left the building so i left a message. i got in this morning i she's like, "oh you're in today. we thought you already left for california or something." so i just apologized for not calling in yesterday and told her i had to get some x-rays taken, etc. and all was well. then after i talked to my mom yesterday about finding a new job she tells me not to "burn my bridges" or something like that. so basically, now i won't mess around as much at work now. i'll actually try to do work and stuff which is pretty much what i did today. read newspapers, made copies, ordered office supplies, cleaned out cubicle, then read more newspapers. what a productive day! yeah, plus on the job applications for all those other places it asks if they can call my current employer and ask questions about me so i can't piss off my supervisor. gotta be good from now on. yes, so me = halo over my head.

so today as i was cleaning out my cubicle, what do i find? a corona newspaper from a year ago from TODAY'S EXACT DATE! it was the last newspaper they printed that year and it was sitting in a stack of papers in one of my paper bin things. pretty weird. then i read through it and it reminded me of how things were a year ago at this time. pretty crazy. jeez, all those faces from high skool which i haven't seen in a while and reading their little hopes and dreams for their life as they go off to college. ai yah. i hate this mushy crap. hm well more the feeling i get from thinking about this mushy crap. oh well. i figured that since i found it and it had a similar date as today, i thought something cool would happen today. nothing so far, except me not getting fired. hm maybe it was when my supervisor said it was ok for me to get on the internet as long as i didn't have any work to do. i dunno. i was hoping for something a little better than that. like a 'WHOA' surprise not an 'oh ok' surprise. however, i did find a 'kinda-funny, kinda-wack' thing in the paper. so this one part had interviews with students and had the whole q&a part with a picture of the student. well one of them was for jessica liu, but wait that's not her picture. it's a picture of lydia lee. haha how funny, yet kind of not right at the same time.

finally, i'm free. summer is here. hoo-ray beer...er i mean summer! (red beer commercial):

friday - all i remember about this day was that i took my math final, went to work, then worked out after work. that night went to graduation ceremony that seemed like a billion years long. it didn't help that i was starving the entire time, but i sat through it for those kids up there. good times. then just got a bite to eat afterwards at tgifridays.

saturday - job hunted in the morning. checked out a couple banks and then discount tire. wells fargo and compass bank were hiring. washington mutual said i could only apply online. bank one told me to go to their hiring center. discount tire was 'accepting applications.' after going over their physical requirement's list, i'll be carrying 50-100lbs at 2/3's of the time so it's a last resort now. after that, went to extreme autofest, a car show out in ghetto phx at the statefair grounds. saw some NICE cars, but for 16 bux...eh i saw better at the LA autoshow for only 6 bux. however, i saw my very first sound system competition. that was interesting, but all the cars in the competition except for the navigator sucked balls. the winner was this tiny little isuzu samurai or some crap like that. it was embarassing. anyways, i got pics, but my dad took the digital camera with him to dallas and the pics are still on the camera. that night just hung out with dan and brian. saw 'the big hit.' pretty boring night. should've just stayed home and studied for finals.

sunday - skipped church and slept-in since i couldn't fall asleep the night before. later that day, my recurring fever...recurs. it sucked. plus, i had to study for finals. dang and of all days to get sick, mother's day. my mom had to take care of me all day. i felt kinda bad about it. anyways, in the middle of the night i woke up and i can't remember exactly what my dream was, but i remember being confused as all hell. my mind was thinking at 100mph and all i wanted to do was get some sleep. i hate when that happens.

monday - woke up with a low fever, but had to go to skool regardless cuz of finals. took chinese final. studied only one of the two chapters on the test and that ended up screwing me over. oh well, hopefully i'm getting a B in the class. then had a 2+ hour break inbetween finals. sat in the MU for a while. studied, doodled on some paper, etc. one thing that pissed me the hell off though was this stupid bai ren was being a loud, obnoxious bastard while everyone else there was trying to study. i felt like getting up and ripping out his cursed vocal chords and then tying them around his mouth so he'd finally stfu. luckily for him, he left before my patience and self-control ran out. after that, took my econ final. was kinda worried i went at the wrong time, but it turned out i was right so i basically stressed out over nothing. later that day, went to the doctor. he gave me medicine you're not supposed to give kids cuz it destroys their cartilage. i found that humorous. then this other medicine i have to take has 'paranoia' and 'nightmares' as possible side-effects. oh boy.

today i sat around and didn't do much. i got x-rays for my sinuses cuz my doctor wanted to figure out wtf is wrong with me. other than that, just sat around most of the day. finally started to watch 'naruto', cartoon recommended by janson. probably gonna go fill out some applications later and turn them in if i have time. then gotta clean up my room cuz it's not-so-clean anymore. other than that it should be an EXCITING day.
