Steak Bagels |
2/3 c. beer 1/3 c. olive oil 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. white pepper 1- 1.5 oz. ribeye steak, fat trimmed 2 tbsp. butter 2 large onions sliced thin in rings 1/2 tsp paprika 6 toasted onion bagels |
1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a large plastic baggie. Add steak. Marinade for 6 hours. 2. Remove steak and disgard marinade. Broil 5-7 minutes on each side or until medium rare. (You can learn to tell the doneness of a steak by gently pressing down on the center. The more the steak gives, the more rare it is.) 3. Meanwhile, melt butter in a medium sauce pan. Add onions, salt and paprika. Sautee until tender 4. Arrange steak and onions on bagels. Serve with horseradish/ garlic mayonnaise. Horseradish/ Garlic Mayo 2 tbsp. mayonnaise 1/2 tsp. horseradish 1 mashed clove of garlic dash of cayenne pepper Mix all ingredients. |
