OSCAR SHOW

It seems everybody complains that the Oscar show was too long. Yet, year after year, we camp outside the Shrine Auditorium for days preceding the show. On Oscar day, we leave work a little early to catch the pre-show. We don't cook but order takeout and glue our eyes to the TV to watch the show. We then watch its highlights on the evening news and read about it in the morning. We could care less who may win the award for some of those trivia categories. Nevertheless, we love to see the emcee, the presenters, the stars and their companions. The more the better. Thank heaven the show is long. We want it to be long.
