Rules on Being Hacked and Begging for Donations
In the past there has been a lot of begging for items and np and people saying they have gotten hacked. Generous people always end up giving. This will come to
an end. There will be no more posting, saying that you just got hacked, and you need help getting started again. We have no way of telling if
you have been really hacked or not, so this is why we are stopping this. If you think you have been hacked or scammed, go here to report it to Neopets. They will give you all the help that they can.
There will also be no more begging from newbies to neopets -
this means asking for neopoints, items, discounts on items or to borrow nps or items. We all started out with the same amount of np!!! You can apply for the welcome wagon, and you will receive items that way. We also have a wishing well, where you can wish for items. (Read through the web site to find them. ;) )
If you break these rules you will receive a warning neomail, break it again and you will be suspended from the guild for one week. A second offense will get you banned from the guild!
There will also be no begging by neomail.
Asking for random quest items on the message board is OK,
but not if it is a quest you have chosen to do and can still use the Wiz yourself to search for the item. (That means no asking for items for quests from Jhudora, Illusen, Taelia, Edna, etc. The ONLY exception is if you're asked for an unbuyable item on Jhudora's or Illusen's quest and want to ask if any guild member has the item.) We also have guild shops that carry certain items.
Please check them first before asking for help. Ask that the item be looked up for you not for it to be given to you. If it is given to you please say thank you.
NOTE: The Earth Faerie quests are not worth doing as she will only fill your pet up with food and restore HP.
SAFETY TIPS
Some preventions to being hacked would be changing your password often. Make it long, non-neopets related & include at least one number. Certain symbols and capital letters can be used too to make it even harder to guess. If you can't remember it, write it down!
Also, do not enter your screen name and password into a login area, unless the URL is http://www.neopets.com/......
If you wind up at a fake log-in page, go back to www.neopets.com and change your password RIGHT AWAY! This can help keep dishonest people from getting into your account.

Do not give out your email
address that you use for neopets. If you have premium, do not use your premium email address as your address for your neopets account. Also be careful if you use instant messengers. Neopets will NEVER ask for your password through email, Neomail or IM, so don't give it out to people trying to trick you into believing that they are Neopets staff.
