Walkin' Fourth On Water

This is a virtual cache. A cache that exists in a form of a location. A virtual cache is usually an interesting spot. The reward for discovering a virtual cache is the location itself, the information you gather there, and the awe of the surroundings.

Let's visit Inlet, New York.

Inlet is a quaint hamlet nestled in a nook of the Adirondack Mountain Range, at an elevation of 1700 feet.

DIRECTIONS

Located at the eastern end of Fourth Lake, Inlet extends along the shores of Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Lakes of the Fulton Chain. Follow Route 28 ten miles north from Old Forge.

From I87. Take Exit 23. Follow Route 9 north to Warrensburg. Just outside of the town, take Route 28 north. Continue on Route 28 through Blue Mountain Lake (left turn). In about 24 miles you will come to Inlet.

You can park in village parking lot (N 43° 45.128 W 074° 47.687). There is a small playground if you have children, and benches if you want to read the tourist literature or view the surroundings.

Hint: You can see the cache in this painting.

This is an EASY geocache.

Here is the simple rule to log this cache as found:

To verify you have been to this virtual cache, please e-mail me and tell me the name of the person inscribed in memoriam at the coordinates. Please do not include this information in your online log.

This is not the answer.

Then from the exact spot, take a photo of yourself and your GPS at the cache location. Take the picture so that it doesn't completely give away the exact location or path to the cache. Upload your photo immediately after submitting your log report. The photo below will help you find the right place to stand.

These are the coordinates.
