There is not enough evidence presented here to prove conclusively the following relation of the Jainist swastika to the sun god depicted on the rock frieze just on this. However, it is clear that the sun was considered significant in the religion of those from the far east. The worship of the differing gods did have worship of the creation and in some far eastern religions pantheism is still common.
The sun god is holding the moon crescent which was considered as part of the heavens quite naturally. The moon god has had various names through the centuries and is known most recently as allah. The word allah in the Hebrew is related to oak trees in the sense of strength. Pagan worship took place in the sacred groves that undoubtedly included worship of the moon. The gods have had different things associated with them in tracing their histories. The other objects that the sun god is holding have some significance that is celestial no doubt. The sun god looks virtually the same some 600 years later but is holding a cross with writing on it. It may be due to the sun having been raised to supreme importance above all of the celestial heavens to the point the sun god presents only the representation of himself. The cross has been used as a symbol of the sun in cultures all over the earth. The Jainist symbol may be related to the sun god of the 13th century. The sun god has a stick with a circular object on it although it is not clear what it might be. It may be a symbol of archaic life preceding people. The sun god has the plant life possibly under his feet and the curled stick may represent his dominion over human life. The god Bel is the sun god and his symbol is the curved stick he is holding. Note the sun god some 600 years later has a cross as the symbol in the middle of the sun disk.
