Aug. 18, 1998 Mr. President I as a concerned American would like to know what you, personally have done or are doing in referance to our MISSING SERVICE PERSONAL. I have an interest in the following MIA's: Lt. William S. Forman USN, Lt. Jg. Erwin B. Templin USN, Seaman Edmund H. Freneya USN, Seaman App. Robert R. Sennett USN These men disappeared over water Jan. 22, 1961.
When a friend of Templin left Yankee Station and was steaming away to safer waters, he was walking down a passageway and one of the Intelligence Officers from the Flag stopped him. They went to a secure area and he told Templin's friend that some very high-level intelligence had been forwarded to the ship identifying one or more of the crew members from the aircraft as positively seen in North Vietnam. Templin's friend naturally assumed that they were POWs. None of the crew ever returned. You could find more information on this at http://www.oocities.org/pentagon/bunker/3072/story.html Thank You Mr. President for your concern of ALL AMERICANS. Yours Truely Douglas Rowe cc. http://www.oocities.org/pentagon/bunker/3072/letters.html
