ABIGOR (AUS)
"Channeling the Quintessence of Satan" (1999) Playing time: 41,20"
After their "immortal" previous album that was out only 1 year ago and after the reprinting of their demos into CD by Napalm Rec., this majestic black metal band, to me one of the most talented ones, is coming back with a new "Opus ". Probably you have already understood I'm talking about the prolific (they realised 6 albums -4 full-length plus 2 mini from 1994) Austrian (surprise! they are not Norwegian!!) Abigor and I am really glad their artistic music could delight my ears again. As every albums also "Channeling The Quintessence of Satan" is the perfect "Equilibrium" of the opposites: technical skills, modern recordings together with their ability to create and aggressive and raw sound that on the contrary reminds me past times.... making their sound so particular and interesting. I have always been really fond of their music as I think it's really difficult to find a band that sounds "evil and "intelligent" at the same time, don't you? Probably they really found the "Quintessence of Satan" and they channelled it into their music. So, come on black metal guys out there do you want to taste the "quintessence" of Satan or are you scared about?
