BEHEMOTH POL) "Pandemonic Incantations" (1998) [SOLISTITIUM]
Surely Behemoth is a very professional band. It is undeniable that they have trodden a long path since their debut enhancing the songwriting, the technique and, as often happens in this case, their popularity. This album is well-produced, well-played and well-wrapped and probably it will be also well-sold. The first thing one can immediately note is the cleaning of the sound that reveals the good execution of the songs. In particular we have noticed a good drumming and entangled riffs, quite rare features in the black metal genre. So a very good product, however, is an album that won't like very much to the lovers of "Sventevith". The atmosphere one could breathe in that album is very different from the one of the latest one. Maybe in that album the songs were not so fast and well executed but they could leave more different feelings that "Pandemonic Incantations" will never be able to infuse.
