CENTINEX(SWE)“Hellbrigade” (2000)[ REPULSE RECORDS ]
Helvete! I must admit that I undervalued this band. I totally enjoyed their last album “Hellbrigade” that showed me the right & elevated value of Centinex.
The main reason is that I’m a great fans of Swedish death metal à la Dismember, At The Gates, etc. and “Hellbrigade” fulfil such a passion both about musical and vocals performance. Of course, I must add that Centinex sometimes show a more heavy metal approach like in the song “Last redemption” and a more violent approach like in the song “Neverending Hell”.
Just one black point: the drums recordings are really dry (do you all remember the unlucky drums’ recordings in “Velvet Creation” by the great Swedish Eucharist, don’t you?!?) but this is not enough to make change my high opinion about this work.
