DIABOLICAL MASQUERADE (SWE) "Nightwork" (1998) [AVANTGARDE MUSIC]
Blackheim is a great and deep musician [forever Katatonia!] and the third work of his solo-project is a really "diabolical" creature. It's really well-played and it consists of 7 hymns dedicated to the darkness: evil guitar riffs with heavy metal influences as in the previous works, keyboards that create diabolical and mysterious atmospheres but also melancholic and depressed ones as in the obscure "Cryztalline Fiends", bonus track in the vinyl's version. When a dark soul will listen to "Nightwork" around him the air will become strange, a lot of diabolical creatures will appear and suddenly dark will surround his thoughts, giving him the eternal sublime peace.
