DARKSEED "Diving Into Darkness" (2000) [Nuclear Blast Rec.]
Ok, here comes the new Darkseed album...Not too long after the previous release. I must say I had some doubts about it. Bands that are rushing out to make new albums generally end up with crap, still this album is in some ways stronger than "Give Me Light." In the last few years I've developed a little taste for gothic metal such as this. What surprises me is that Darkseed use more growl-vocals on this album than in the previous one (not
much, just more) and that the songs in general are more melodic and definitely more interesting. The mood in the songs is quite sad and filled with a feeling of solitude that I happen to like.
Pay attention to "Left alone" & "Forever Darkness" -hey what the hell, just pay attention to all of it! If you liked the previous album you'll love this one.
