ENOCHIAN CRESCENT (FIN) "Babalon patrale de telocvovim" (1998) [AVANTGARDE MUSIC] Playing time: 17.09
A deadly bell introduces us the macabre march of "Pestilence & honey" (and the Wind will help to remember its depressive sound till the last song "A Mathilde"), first song of this MCD of grim black metal from Finland that consists of 4 songs plus an original cover about "Thirteen candles" by Bathory. I've found their music really interesting: they could be violent with mangling screams, mighty riffs together with an impetuous drumming structure but they also show us the other side of evil sound: charismatic clean vocals, interesting tempo variations and breaks which also create good atmospheres, showing us keyboards are not always necessary, since abused in most of black metal albums lately. If you haven't still understood how they work out in play so original, the only advice I could give you is to buy "Babalon patrale de telocvovim" and discover it by yourselves!
