HOLLENTHON "Domus Mundi" [NAPALM REC.]
A few months back a friend of mine threw an album in my lap...”listen to this”, he said…I guess I didn’t take it too seriously as I skipped some tracks and heard that they had "stolen" some tunes from the music of the "Braveheart" movie...what could this be? Well it was the debut album of Hollenthon "Domus Mundi" and wow…I’m glad I gave it a second chance. This is the new band of Pungent Stench frontman Martin Schirenc. It is a black/death/heavy metal collaboration with ethnic and classical undertones with great variation to each song. And normally I don’t like it when bands take musical-parts from movies I like, but hey…in this case go right ahead =) . This album really surprised me with really great mystical and dynamic songs...I guess Pungent Stench was just a starting point for Martin Schirenc...
