HORIFIXION (CAN) "Rage" CD promo 1999 21,22"
I've received this promoCD from Canada that should be a really precious piece for all the fans of technical death metal. Lots of thrash and Slayer influences but also some surprising melodic riffs like in "Deserted Landscape" all supported by a really technical approach that in some parts, like in "Nature's Revenge", also reminds me the supreme band Death.
The only black point is that in some parts, on the opposite of their technical approach, Horifixion's riffs seems to be a bit repetitive but these really rare moments don't really damage the final level of their work that is in my opinion really high.
To end this review I can't forgot to suggest you to listen to the song "Rendez-vous avec la mort" completaly sing in French: actually it sounds strange but you can't really lose this chance!
