MALEVOLENT CREATION (USA) “Envenomed” (2000) [ARCTIC MUSIC GROUP]
When one thinks about USA death metal some of the most important names which surely come to the mind are Morbid Angel, Deicide, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse and, of course, Malevolent Creation. So, this essential band and their spiteful sound both don’t really need any introduction. Instead, you need to have “Envenomed” in your death metal collection or something will be missed. I’m talking about what few bands are able to give you as “Envenomed” is the perfect example of how death metal should be: aggressive, direct, intense, inspired and well-played! Furthermore, their sound is not static (as it's sometimes for other death metal bands) and you can listen to this also in some more “continental” and really amazing riffs but always in Malevolent Creation’s style!
My final verdict is that “Envenomed” is a new great goal in their honourable career started in 1987 (7 full-length albums released from the 1991!) and… I really need to tell you more? Just get it!
