MORGAIN (SLO) “Sad Memories of Fairies” (2000) [METAL AGE PROD.] 60.
Original rockish doom metal with a folk approach. Yes, I like this because it’s not so standard as most of the bands in the nowadays too large scene. This makes “Sad memories of Fairies” a special production you shouldn’t miss. [Both female and male vocals also remind me Nattvindens Gråt with “A Bard’s Tale” listen f.e. to the song “Reading between lies”- Ed]
There’s only one negative thing in this release: the synths are too much in front, mostly comparing to the vocals, and I’m definitively not a great fan of those ones. Anyway, I will play this CD a lot in the future when I have time as it’s more than 60” long[when the day is grey and when is not!-Ed.].
