VV.AA. “True King of Norway”[SPIKEFARM PROD.] (2000)
I was really curious to know the new band the Finnish label decided to send me, this time. Well, Immortal, Emperor, Arcturus, Ancient and Dimmu Borgir are not exactly “new” in the metal scene. On the opposite, they’re “true Kings of Norway” as the title of this CD suggests. Also the songs this CD features are not new either: they’re taken from all their “legendary” 7 ep’s. Although this is not a CD for everyone (at least not for people into the metal scene since its dawning and who therefore probably possess the original releases in their collection) it will be surely really useful for all the numerous fans of these bands who are still desperately looking for their rare 7 ep’s everywhere.
Something to blame: where the hell is the original cover of Dimmu Borgir 7's ep?
Something to praise: I’ve found really interesting the idea to include the detailed “scene-map” of Norway: I wonder who is the “psycho” guy who made this patience of Job!

VV.AA CARCASS– Requiems of revulsion [DEATHVOMIT RECORDS- A division of NECROPOLIS] (2001)
“Requiems of Revulsion” is a tribute to the earlier days of the cult band CARCASS. Of course, this is the perfect CD for all the nostalgic fans of albums as “Reek of Putrefaction” but it will also pleased all the fans of grind as weel as of bands like Rotten Sound, Discorge, Impales, Dead Infection, Regurgitate, Nasum, Haemorrhage, Exhumed, Avulsed which all paid homage to Carcass in this CD.
