RiverScape is an ambitious effort to help revitalize the Downtown Dayton area and will be completed in 3 phases. Phase 1 is complete and the centerpiece features a 5 jet fountain shooting water over the Great Miami River at a height of over 200 ft. The fountain is one of the largest in the world and is the largest river-based fountain in the world. At night, the fountains double as a 5 point laser light show  forming a star over the Great Miami River at night. Celebrations often feature a combination of laser's and fireworks such as seen here for the 2001, 4th of July celebration. Pictures do not do the fountains justice, but as you could imagine, it is a spectacular sight!
