Notes |
Originally
named the American Building, this building was vacant and
delapidated for several years and it's future has been questioned
several times...until 1999 when RTA (Regional Transit Authority)
unveiled their plans to purchase the 70 year old building and
perform a $2,000,000 renovation to make it the downtown RTA Hub
Headquarters. The building was renovated inside and out, and
additions were added on the east and south sides with the facade
being reused from a 65 year old building that was once a part of
downtown Dayton. Renovation is 100% complete and this building is
an excellent example of how well an old building can bring new
life to a downtown. |
