Eyeglass Recycling

Eyeglass recycling is a major activity of Lions Clubs everywhere. Al Owen, soon-to-be District Governor of District 2-A1, coordinates the program in San Angelo.

To be able to find a person a pair of glasses and let them see for the first time is a truly heart-warming experience.

Lions meet at the Lighthouse for the Blind on Austin Street Thurday afternoons and all day Fridays to clean and sort eyeglasses for recycling. All eyeglass donations are welcome and may provide just the thing needed to give a visually-limited person an entire new view of the world.
