Pumpkin Milkshake

1 scoop vanilla bean ice cream
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie filling
milk enough to make it a 6-8 ounce shake
Blend, serve and enjoy


Almond Amaretto Coffee

Great For brunch, provide a carafe of coffee mixed with the amaretto and sugar. Then let guests serve themselves, topping each serving with whipped cream and almonds, if desired.
1/2 cup hot freshly brewed coffee
1 tablespoon amaretto
1 teaspoon brown sugar
Whipped cream
1 teaspoon toasted slivered almonds (optional)
1. In a coffee cup, stir together the coffee, amaretto, and brown sugar. Stir to dissolve sugar. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with almonds, if desired. Makes 1 serving.


Candy Bar Frosties

Candy Bar Frosties are a great way to enjoy your favorite candy bar in a delicious "milkshake" style beverage treat that takes only minutes to create.
1 (14-oz.) can Eagle® Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 (8-oz) container of plain or vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup chocolate flavored syrup
2 to 3 candy bars, broken
2 cups crushed ice
In blender container, combine Eagle Brand and other remaining ingredients; blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Garnish as desired. Refrigerate or freeze leftovers.
*Double Chocolate Frosties: Omit candy bars; add 6 broken creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookies. Proceed as above. (Makes about 1 quart)
* Fruity Frosties: For a more healthy but delicious alternative, omit candy bars and chocolate-flavored syrup. Add 2 cups fresh strawberries, peaches or bananas. Proceed as above. (Makes about 1 1/4 quarts) © 1999 Eagle Family Foods


Chai

This spiced tea mix is based on dry milk powder.
1-1/4 cups nonfat dry milk powder
1/4 cup black tea leaves
12 cardamom pods
4 2-inch pieces stick cinnamon
2 teaspoons dried lemon peel
1. In two clean cellophane bags or two 6-ounce jars or bottles, layer all ingredients, dividing evenly. Seal bags or cover jars and store in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months.
2. To serve, in a large saucepan combine contents of bag with the water. Bring to boiling; remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Strain through a wire sieve lined with 100-percent-cotton cheesecloth or clean paper coffee filter.
3. To serve, add honey to sweeten to taste. Makes enough mix for 8, 1- cup servings.

To Present This As a Gift: You will need a cellophane bag, 18-inch length of 1-inch-wide ribbon, scissors, 2 cinnamon sticks, ribbon, colored paper in 3 colors, decorative scissors (optional), thick white crafts glue, paper punch, cord, and teapot.
Fill the cellophane bag with prepared Chai mix as directed in recipe; tie with a loose ribbon bow. Trim the ribbon ends, if desired. Tie two cinnamon sticks together with a ribbon bow; tuck into larger bow.
For the tag, cut three slightly different-size shapes from colored papers. Cut with decorative scissors, if desired. Glue one on top of the other. Let the glue dry. Punch a hole in one corner. Thread cord through hole. Include preparation directions with gift.

Also Try This: Personalize a plain glass teapot by painting an initial on one side using paints specifically made for glass. Let the paint dry. Bake the painted glassware in the oven if instructed by the paint manufacturer. Let cool.


Mocha Float

Serving: Serves: 1
1 teaspoon cocoa mix
3/4 teaspoon instant-coffee granules or powder
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Club soda, chilled
2 small scoops chocolate ice cream
1. Into 8-ounce glass, measure first three ingredients. Gradually add enough club soda to fill glass 3/4 full; stir until sugar is dissolved.
2. Add chocolate ice cream; stir. Serve with spoon and straw.


Old-Fashioned Pink Lemonade

2 cups white sugar
9 cups water
2 cups fresh lemon juice
1 cup cranberry juice, chilled
In large pitcher, combine sugar, water, lemon juice, and cranberry juice. Stir to dissolve sugar. Serve over ice.


Amaretti

4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 small bottle almond extract
2 to 3 tbsp cocoa (optional)
6 cups ground almonds
Beat eggs, add sugar and almond extract. Mix well and add cocoa and almonds.
Combine and drop by spoonfuls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment. Bake at 350F 8 - 10 mins.
Make a thin mixture with icing sugar and water, roll warm cookies in it and allow to set.


Hot Mulled Cider

1/2 cup Brown sugar
2 quarts Apple Cider or Apple Juice
1 teaspoon Whole allspice
1 teaspoon Whole cloves
1 three-inch stick cinnamon
1 dash Nutmeg
8 Orange slices , thin
8 whole Cloves
Combine sugar, salt, and cider. Tie spices in cheese cloth. Add to cider. Slowly bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Remove spices. Serve hot in mugs with a clove-studded orange slice floaters and cinnamon stick.


Mulled Tea Bags

Ingredients:
5 tsp. loose black tea
4 whole cloves
6 whole allspice berries
2 tsp. coarsely crushed cinnamon stick
1 tsp. grated orange rind
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
fine-mesh cheesecloth
Cotton string
Cut two five inch squares out of the cheese cloth. Place 1/2 of your tea ingredients on one square, and the other 1/2 on the second one. Bring the corners together and tie into a bag with the string. Place the teabags into a mug, with these instructions:
To brew place one tea bag in a mug and 1 cup of boiling water. Steep 5 minutes and enjoy!
If you wish you can also include a small jar of honey, an antique spoon (easily found at a thrift store), 2 cinnamon sticks for stirring and a novel to enjoy reading while drinking.
