Black Widow Dip

Serving Size: varies
Notes: This is easy to put together, and tastes wonderful.
Ingredients:
16 oz Can Refried Beans
1 tsp. Chili Powder
1 tsp. Taco Seasoning
1/4 C. Water
12 - 16 oz Prepared Guacamole
1/4 - 1/3 C. Salsa (to taste)
1/4 - 1/2 Sour Cream
Tortilla Chips
Pie Pan
Plastic Spiders
Preparation: Place refried beans, chili powder, taco seasoning, and water in small sauce pan. Place on stove at medium low temperature and heat through. While stirring constantly let simmer until water is observed and flavors have blended, 4 - 6 minutes. Remove from stove and cool. Mix prepared guacamole with salsa. Place cooled beans in bottom of pie pan, carefully spoon guacamole on top of beans. In a pastry bag or plastic bag draw the black widows cobweb. Finally place the spider or more spiders if you wish on top of the spider’s web. This simple dip and you favorite chips this snack will be very eye catching and make a nice table presentation.


Cheesy Taco Dip

1 pound ground beef
3/4 cup water
1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 (16 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (16 ounce) jar processed cheese spread
Directions
1 In a large skillet, brown ground beef. Drain fat. Stir in seasoning packet and water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer. Let cook for 5 minutes, stir occasionally. 2 Place ground beef mixture into a slow cooker. Add tomatoes and cheese to the slow cooker. 3 Cook on low for 1 hour.
Makes 8 to 10 servings


Dog Food Dip

Serve with your favorite corn chips
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 pound processed cheese food, cubed
1 (12 ounce) jar sliced jalapeno peppers, drained
Directions
1 Place lean ground beef and onion in a large, deep skillet over medium high heat. Cook until beef is evenly brown and onion is soft. Drain and turn heat to medium low. 2 Pour in condensed cream of mushroom soup. Mix in processed cheese food and desired amount of jalapeno peppers. Cook and stir until all ingredients are well blended, about 10 minutes. 3 Transfer the mixture to a medium bowl. Cover and chill in the refrigerator 8 hours, or overnight. 4 Reheat the mixture in a slow cooker, mixing in about 1 tablespoon of water to thin if necessary, before serving.
Makes 6 cups


Hot Artichoke Dip

1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 4-oz. can chopped green chilies
1 large can artichoke hearts (not marinated)
Combine all ingredients and heat at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes until hot or broil until hot and lightly browned.


Beefy Bean Dip

2 (19 ounce) cans canned kidney beans, drained
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
1 small onion
1 pound ground beef
1 (4 ounce) can canned jalapeno pepper
1/2 cup hot sauce
1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
3 bunches green onion, diced
16 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions
1 In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the kidney beans, refried beans, onion, ground beef, jalapenos, hot sauce and taco seasoning. Cook for 10 minutes or until beef is brown. 2 Add the green onions and grated cheese just before serving. Serve hot with tortilla chips and sliced jalapenos if desired. Makes 1 quart


Fantastic Mexican Dip

2 pounds ground beef
1 (16 ounce) jar taco sauce
1 (16 ounce) package sour cream
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 (16 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 tomato, cubed
2 green onions, sliced
1 (2 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained
Directions
1 Crumble ground beef in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, mix in the taco sauce and set aside. 2 In a large bowl, mix the sour cream, cream cheese and taco seasoning mix. Spread the mixture into a medium serving dish. 3 Layer the sour cream mixture with beef mixture, Cheddar cheese and lettuce. Top with tomato, green onions and black olives. Makes 8 cups


Hot Beef Dip

2 (8 ounce) jars dried chipped beef
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2 In a small baking dish, mix the dried chipped beef, green bell pepper, onion, cream cheese and Cheddar cheese. 3 Bake uncovered 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until center is bubbly and edges are lightly browned. Makes 4 cups


Spicey Melted Cheese Dip

1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork sausage
2 pounds processed cheese food, cubed
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers, with liquid
Directions
1 Place ground beef and ground pork sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. 2 In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt processed cheese food. Stir in diced tomatoes with green chile peppers while processed cheese food is melting. 3 Drain ground beef and ground sausage. Mix into the processed cheese food mixture. Transfer to a medium dish and serve warm. Makes 6 cups


Green Goblin Dip

Notes: This is a dip that would go great with some fresh veggies or chips.
Ingredients:
1 1/4 C. mayonnaise
1 C. sour cream
1/2 C. chopped fresh parsley
1/2 C. chopped green onions
1 2 oz. can anchovies
1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Generous pinches of tarragon, chervil, salt, and pepper green food coloring
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in blender or processor and blend until smooth. Refridgerate overnight before serving with chips or raw cut up vegetables.


Junk Dip

1 pound ground beef
2 pounds processed American cheese, cubed
1/2 cup milk
1 (8 ounce) jar salsa
1 (2 ounce) can chopped black olives, drained
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
Directions
1 Place ground beef in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain and set aside. 2 Place processed American cheese and milk in a large, heavy saucepan over medium heat. Stirring frequently, cook until cheese is melted. One at a time, mix in ground beef, salsa, black olives and refried beans. Keep the mixture warm over low heat while serving. Makes 6 cups
