Easy Jigsaw Pieces
See the map for a more precise look at the Jigsaw pieces' locations.
- Dive Into the Well - Actually, the subhead reveals the hard way to get this piece. Look for a well northeast of the mansion and dive in. Look in the bucket at the bottom for the piece. The much better method is to turn into the pumpkin. Look for a hole next to the bottom of the well. The puzzle piece will be in easy reach - as well as the musical notes and a Mumbo token.
- Float Around - Directly north of the haunted house is a building. Bust the door open to get in. Inside, play the game and spell out BanjoKazooie. Don't hit any other tiles or wrong letters-it'll hurt! Also, avoid the floating ghost protecting the letters. Don't panic: There's plenty of time.
- Feed the Gold Pots - Head for the cemetery. Look for empty gold pots next to some of the graves. Fill each pot with eggs until flowers sprout up. Find and fill all the gold pots in the graveyard.
- Climb the Compass - A little technique is needed here. Head to the front of the church and switch into Kazooie's Talon Trot. Jump on top of the grave marker just right of the entrance, then jump on the roof. Look for a small platform near the church tower. Run around the other side and look for an opening. That opening leads to the top of the tower. Use the green super jump switch (press and hold A while standing on it) to catapult to a pole above. Climb the pole.
- Bust Celler Kegs - Look for the entrance to the cellar, just west of the haunted house. Stomp on it to reveal the entryway. Avoiding the ghost, Beak Barge into the kegs to break them open. A piece lies inside one of them.
- Jinjos - They're all in fairly obvious spots on the map. Note that one is actually inside a room on the north end of the mansion, while the other lies in a keg in the cellar.
Difficult Jigsaw Pieces
See the map for a more precise look at the Jigsaw pieces' locations.
- Play the Organ - It's not the puzzle that's tough, it's getting there. Just right of the house is a stomp switch with sprint shoes nearby. Stomp on the switch, which opens the church door. Grab the sprint shoes, jump over the wall, and run like mad to the door before it closes. Inside is a huge organ. Jump up to the keys. Copy the actions of the floating hand by stomping the same keys it presses - it plays slowly, so it's no sweat.
- Don't Wake the Ghost - Get to the roof and jump into the chimney. That takes you to a fireplace on the first floor. Don't wake up the ghost by creeping on the wood floors. Instead, jump on the chairs to get to the table. Go through the ghost and grab the Jigsaw piece.
- In the Toilet - Climb the roof and break open a window on the right side of the house. A toilet should be inside. Go to Mumbo's hut and transform into the pumpkin. Just south of the house is a hole in the stone wall that leads to a closed-off part of the hedge maze. Use the hedge ramp to get to the roof. Go into that room and jump into the toilet.
- In the Storm Drain - While on the roof as the pumpkin, head to the southeast edge of the roof. There's a small hole for the storm drain. Simply fall into it.
The 5 Jinjo's
There are 5 Jinjo's to rescue in each level. If you collect all of them you'll be rewarded with a Jigsaw piece and later on ...
Blue Jinjo - On a column in the green pond.
Green Jinjo - On a small chimney on the roof of the Mansion.
Pink Jinjo - In a barrel in the cellar.
Orange Jinjo - In a corner in the maze.
Yellow Jinjo - On a bed (break through one of the windows of the Mansion).
Honeycomb Pieces
First - Begin by getting Banjo to the roof of the haunted house. Look for a window on the left side and break it. Look inside. There should be a floor with holes. Return to Mumbo's hut and turn into the pumpkin. Then look for a very small hole south of the house. It should lead to a closed-off portion of the hedge maze. Go up the hedge ramp to the roof and enter that room. The honeycomb piece lies under the floor.
Second - When inside the church, look for a launch platform left of the organ pipes. Fly high and look for a wide wooden roof support plank with the piece on it.

Tips
Exploration Tactics - In this level, it'll be important for Banjo to break all the windows surrounding the mansion before transforming into the pumpkin. This will save you time in the quest for puzzle pieces. Also, the ghosts are much easier to deal with if you kill them outright using a gold feather. Get close to a ghost, use a gold feather and jump up to touch the ghost if necessary. Finally, look behind fireplaces and above chandeliers for some "extra" bonuses. Looking behind fireplaces is something that can be done in Level 9 as well, in the beaver's home. Don't forget...
Hidden Room! - The mansion may be surrounded by windows that need breaking, but that isn't the case with the church. However, that doesn't mean the glass-stained windows shouldn't be investigated. Look for one window that stands out from the rest: It'll have Banjo-Kazooie's profile on it. Now try jumping through - Surprise! There's a completely hidden room filled with an 1-UP, gold feathers, and tons of eggs and red feathers.
