The Overworld / Gruntilda's Lair

Quick Analysis
It's rather easy to get lost in the Overworld, especially at the start. It'll be much easier if you don't open Note Doors prematurely. The puzzle piece location list below assumes you've found and stomped the witch switch in the level; check the level maps if you're having trouble finding a Gruntilda switch.

Easy Jigsaw Pieces
See the map for a more precise look at the jigsaw pieces' locations.

A) Unlock Level One - Look left at the Overworld entrance. To the left is a series of steps to climb, which leads to the piece.

B) Mumbo's Mountain - It appears over the level entrance. Turn into a termite to climb up the steep slope.

C) Treasure Trove Cove - It appears on the ship just outside the entrance. Super Jump to get on top of the cannon to get there.

D) Clanker's Cavern - Stomp the eyes of a witch picture on the floor (where the Level 2-jigsaw picture is).

E) Bubblegloop Swamp - Look for a doorway-shaped brick wall near the Level 6 entrance. Beak Barge it, hit the switch and jump in the pot outside.

F) Freezeezy Peak - At the level exit, jump up to the switch. Hit it and use the sprint shoes to run to a flying disc (make sure the cobwebs are taken out with the eggs).

G) Gobi's Valley - Use the green disc rotating around the pot outside the level to catapult into the coffin.

H) Mad Monster Mansion - Repeat the process for Jigsaw F, but rather than fly back to the snow, Beak Bomb into the witch's left eye. I) Rusty Bucket Bay - This is easy. Swim back to the aqua-ice room and get it on a platform next to the water's edge.

J) Click Clock Wood - Turn into a bee. Exit the level and fly to the center tree with the level entrance at the bottom. At the top of the tree is a small alcove.

Tips
Breaking Cobwebs - This may not be evident at first, but the cobwebs in the big room near the Level 5 entrance can be broken with a backward egg-shoot. Do this to gain quick and early access to two of the warp cauldrons.

Icky Plants - The tunnel entrance to Level 9 is filled with wall- hugging root vines. They're tough to pass unless you use the Gold Feathers; kill them and activate the warp room to eliminate the need to go through this passageway again.
