Species | |
Lesser Spotted Dogfish
|
Big beasts hitting like trains and a tuggy big drag. They came in waves, all female, from 11-27 inches. All returned with minimum damage to fight another day. Some even ran. |
Greater Spotted Dogfish | Bigger beasts which had a gentle tug but put up a good fight with the tide. |
Mackerel | A couple taken at low tide, 14 at high tide. For those who like to eat fresh fish, this is what it is all about (photo, one is a bait fish - yes) (Feathers) |
Bass | At low tide the bass pinned the sand eels to the waters edge and murdered them.(photo) (Feathers) |
Pollack | Just a tiddler.(Feathers) |
Sand eel | This was weird, as I dragged in my weight one got pinned between the lead and the gripper. |
