GRAVITY SLIP FIELD

The gravity slip field is my theory for an energy field that could make gravity have no effect on a craft.

HOW IT WORKS

The gravity slip field would work by 'shaking off' gravitational fields by vibrating the outer skin of the ship back and fourth (osolating). As you know, when you travel at high speed in the same direction as the pull of gravity, it looses effect. This principle is used on the 'vomit comit' that NASA uses to train astronauts in order for them to experience zero-gravity. If a ships outer skin was to vibrate at the same frequency as the gravitational source, it would have no effect on the ship. This frequency would be relative to the speed you need to travel towards the gravitational source in order for it to have no effect.

This vibrational frequencycould be created by an intense microwave field being passed through the skin of the ship. This would work by the microwaves being used well above the demestic frequency of 2.5 gigahetze. The metal outer skin of the ship would be treated so the atoms would absorbe the microwaves and thus vibrate. The frequency that it takes for the gravitational field to loose effect would be proportional to the intensity of the gravitational body.

The only problem with this is the side effect of using microwaves, they tend to heat things up! To solve this liquid helium could be passed close to the skin to extract the heat. The outside of the skin would be cooled by the vacume of space.
