This page will show you step by step instructions on how to install the Performance Accessories gap guards.  It is taken word for word exactly as it appears on the instructions that I have.
Gap Guard installation instructions
Warning:  Read and understand all instructions, warnings, cautions, and notes in this sheet before you begin gap guard installation.
Always wear eye protection when operating pwer tools

Note:  No two vehicles have holes spaced identically.  If you are stretching a hole on the gap guard too much, punch another hole with a 1/4" paper punch.  Most stock guards mount from the inside, but our gap guards mount from the outside.  Kit parts are prefaced by the word
kit in italics

A: Before you start
1.  Read all warnings and instructions completely and carefully before you begin.
2.  Check to make sure the kit is complete (refer to the Parts List).
3.  Only install this kit on the vehicle for which it was intended.
4.  Park the vehicle on a clean, dry, flat, level surface and block tires so the vehicle cannot roll in either direction.
5.  Remove and discard four stock guards from wheel wells.

B:  Install the kit
1.  To install the kit you will need this
     -Drill
     -1/4" drill bit
     -Tack welding capability
2.  Front.
     a.  Locate
kit gap guard marked DF.
     b.  At front driver side wheel well position
kit gap guard initials to the inside.
     c.  Install
kit plastic fasteners through kit gap guard and in wheel well.
     d.  Remove near inside mud flap bolt.  Tuck
kit gap guard between mud flap and frame and install
          bolt.
     e.  Repeat steps b. through d. for the passenger side/
kit gap guard marked PF.
3.  Rear
Note:  To avoid drilling directly into your truck bed, sub frames are included to hang rear
kit gap guards from.  READ DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY!
     a.  Open
kit brackets out straight and position marked end in rear of driver side rear wheel well
          along body line.
     b.  Fit
kit brackets to curve of body if curve is present.  Tighten two bolts on brackets so bracket
          matches body line
Note:  We recommend that all welding be done by a certified welder only.
     c.  Remove bolted brackets from wheel well and tack weld together.  Allow metal to cool and
          remove bolts.
     d.  Reposition welded
kit brackets in rear driver side rear wheel well and tacked weld the marked
          end.  Tack weld other end where it meets bed support.  Allow metal to coll.  ENSURE WELDS
          ARE SECURE.
     e.  Remove rear inside mud flap bolt.  Tuch straight side of
kit gap guard marked DR (initial
          inside) behind mud flap.  Align holes in
kit gap guard and mud flap and install bolt through
          mud flap,
kit gap guard, and body.
     f.  Install
kit plastic fasteners in kit gap guard and kit bracket.
     g.  Repeat steps b. through f. for rear passenger side/
kit gap guard marked PR.
