Ridley declines another bite at Hannibal

Ridley Scott has confirmed to the Sun's Bizarre column that he absolutely won't be returning to direct a new Hannibal Lecter film. When asked about possible involvement in the planned remake of Thomas Harris' Red Dragon, he said "No. I'm very happy about how it [Hannibal] went but I don't think so." Maybe he's just not one for sequels - he turned down an offer to direct a third Terminator film earlier this year too.
