MSNBC reports that cuts will be made to "Hannibal" for legal reasons. Any attempt on the part of Anthony Hopkins to repeat the mannerisms that he created for the character of Hannibal Lecter in "The Silence of the Lambs," like the trademark "fava beans" slurping, will be excised because Orion Pictures is claiming the rights to those traits and will not allow MGM to use them in the new film.
