Tickets for the joint tour of Australia with Deep Purple - billed as the "Double Trouble" tour - went on sale on Monday
20th February. The dates released were as follows.
Additionally, a Quo-only show in Twin Towns (Queensland/New South Wales) went on sale unexpectedly on 21st February!

The following article - entitled "Status Quo Happy To Still Be Playing" and penned by Paul Cashmere - appeared on the Undercover web site on February 22nd.
"Status Quo are about to hit the road following a throat cancer scare for singer Rick Parfitt. When he was diagnosed last year, the band literally came to a halt.
“Nearly everyone in the band is over 50,” Francis Rossi tells Undercover News. “It is the death zone, the cancer zone, the heart zone. Rick went to get checked in the morning and told me he had cancer of the throat over dinner. Next time I saw him he was crying with our production manager so I pulled the tour. I was numb. Rick was sure he’d be dead within a week”.
Parfitt is still undergoing treatment to get in shape for the tour. “He is having voice therapy and speech therapy. We will know for sure when he gets back to rehearsal” Francis said.
Status Quo will tour Australia with Deep Purple in April but it’s not their first time together. “The first gig we ever did after Rick joined the band was with Deep Purple when they were still called Episode 6. We did it again two years ago in Italy and Spain. It’s good for both acts”.
The tour kicks off in Melbourne on April 29th."

"STATUS QUO guitarist RICK PARFITT's gravelly voice has turned smooth since he had potentially cancerous growths removed from his throat.
The SWEET CAROLINE star, who smoked 50 cigarettes a day before his cancer scare, is amused when pals don't recognise his newly dulcet tones. But he misses his rock 'n' roll roughness.
He says, "People don't recognise my voice on the phone - it sounds more like JIMMY STEWART at the moment.
"I have a voice therapist working on it and I do hope to get back to normal - we are to play in Australia in the late spring to show them I am alive and allow me to get fit.
"I am grateful to all my friends for their letters and flowers. I am aiming to ring them all up before we go on tour, hopefully in my normal voice."

Mike and Paul from UK cover band State of Quo made a live studio appearance on Merseyside 106.7FM The Rocket on Sunday February 26th. As part of the "This Is Sunday" show with DJ Jeff Nolan, they played an acoustic version of "Rockin' All Over The World" and then followed up with an unexpected acoustic version of "In The Army Now" (with Nolan providing dubious backing vocals!).
