9th - Quo awards show "Radio Schleswig - Holstein Gold 97" on RTL

Quo appeared at the annual Radio Schleswig awards in Germany as part of a two and a half hour spectacular. The awards were recorded in a huge NEC-style arena, with great stage and lighting rigs, and presented by Carol Campbell and Carsten Kothe.

In their first slot, Quo mimed to "The Anniversary Waltz" (captioned incorrectly as the Quo "Hit Medley") - the entire band clad in suit jackets and Rick in his ubiquitous black leather trousers. A few black Marshall cabinets set the scene for Quo and they had a good laugh during this mimed performance, although the besuited front rows of executives appeared unmoved!

Rossi and Parfitt were then presented with a gold award (in the shape of the letters "RSH") before they 'played' out the show with what else but "Rockin' All Over The World". During the finale, the band were joined on stage by all the other acts who'd performed during the show.

The other acts (mainly German) were DJ Bobo, Phil Collins, Mr President, Captain Jack, Burger Lars Dietrich, Stefan Raab, Donna Lewis, Badesatz, Tic Tac Toe, Zucchero, Masterboy, Blumchen, Bed & Breakfast, Mobile Dance, Ballett and Peter Maffay.
