Research Trends:

1- Study of phyllosphere microflora and their antagonistic activity against some pathogenic fungi.

2- Susceptibility to early blight disease in relation to some chemical components.

3- Influence of inoculation with N2-fixing bacteria and VAM-fungi on the control of some pathogenic soil fungi.

4- Study of the wild mushrooms and toadstools in Egypt.

5- Utilization of organic wasts for cultivation and production of mushroom.

6- Study of some weed – microorganisms which affected the production of mushrooms.

7- Histopatholoical studies on the deleterious effect of some pathogenic microorganisms on oyster mushroom.

8- Biological upgradation of agrowastes into protein – rich feed.

1- Teaching courses of Plant Pathology, Mycology to graduate and post graduate students.
2- Research supervision and conducting in the field of plant pathology and mushroom production.
3- Participating academic international and local conferences and seminars in the field of Plant Pathology.
4- Member of the Egyptian society of Plant Pathology and the German Society of Plant Pathology.
5- Participate in the CBS-Course of Mycology, (Centraalbureau voor Schimmelcultures-Baarn – Netherlands), in the field of identification of fungi, including wild mushrooms and toadstools, (1981).
6- Training course in “Integrated Systems for Organic Wasts Utilization – including cultivation of mushroom – held by Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) in cooperation with UNESCO (1988).
7- Principal investigator of Mycology (including mushroom production and biotechnology) – CAIRO-MIRCEN, in cooperation with UNESCO, UNEP and ICRO (1983 – 1988).
8- Principal investigator of Mushroom Research and Production unit (MRPU) faculty of Agric. Ain shams Univ. (1988 till now).
9- Principal investigator of Mushroom and Truffles Research, Institute of Deseart Research, Mattaria, Cairo, Egypt. (1991).

11- Held of the 14th International Africa award for 1993 regarding to the commercial achievements, waste recycling, and for giving chance for small projects for youth and productive families in the field of mushroom production.
12- Instructor in the first and second training course of Food Microbiology and Quality Control (7-20 Nov. 1987 and 12 – 25 Nov. 1988), CAIRO – MIRCEN in cooperation with UNESCO, UNEP and ICRO, in the field of fungi as a source of food (including Mushroom).
13- Guest – Professor (1995) in Germany (utilization of organic wastes for cultivation of mushrooms as protein source for developing countries).
14- Member of ministerial committee on enhancement of agricultural education in the field of biological science (1999 till now).
15- Active participant in “Suzan Mubark Scientific Centre” for the development of TV-program about “fungi in our life” for students (2000).
