Duke L'Orange has perhaps the most mysterious past of any of the Ducks. Formally the most notorious jewel thief on the planet of Puckworld, he turned his talents and skills towards good use and fought to defend his home when the world was invaded by the Saurians. But what exactly was his life like before then? No one really knows. We can take comfort, I suppose, in the fact that his teammates don't know much about him, either.
All that we do know is that he did run a mob known as The Brotherhood Of The Blade, and that he was just about the best jewel thief on the planet. He has a passion for swords and adventure, he has a grace and skill that is all his own, and while the guy can *not* do puns to save his life, he has an often wry sense of humor.
He also, most likely, has a fairly interesting past.
There are lots of takes on what Duke's past could have been. This is mine. I have no idea how accurate it is to the truth of what happened to him, though I will say that I have watched Duke as carefully as possible and deduced what I can from his past in the few cryptic comments the episodes give us. In my 'verse, at least, this is the definite story of what happened to Duke----how he became the greatest jewel thief that Puckworld has ever seen, and why he gave it all up for honor. Your story may be quite different, but is just as correct.
Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy this.
