I began Juniors when my sister starting swimming lessons at our local YMCA. I was bored going with, so I stopped in a bookstore, and found a book all about showing in Juniors. I bought it, read it, and found out more on the web. This really interested me, so I started training my sister's Golden retriever to stack, as best I could. The problem was finding additional information on showing goldens. There was none out there. I watched numerous dog shows on TV, and went to a local show and slowly gathered tid-bits of info on handling and grooming, not only goldens, but also German Shepherds, which I just happened to own. Since my GSD was not quite cut out for the stress of the show ring, I used a friend's boxer in the ring.
I know it is hard to find what you are looking for, so beginners, don't fret! All of the hard work, frustration, and confusion is worth it! Keep at it, and you will love it as much as I do.
