You decide that you'd like to meet Ambience. Her trail is relatively short, you realize, and you walk it quickly. Soon after, you arrive at a shadowy glade. The sunlight seems to fade even as you watch, as though an invisible cloud passed over it and blocked it out. Nervously, you glance around, wondering what could make this happen, when your answer appears right in front of you, in the form of a small, pawed creature.
The green creature seems to glow with the light of the sun. It has a smoky aura to it as well, and peircing black eyes. It gives you a chill, but it makes no move to hurt you. Instead, it yawns softly, using a smoky paw to rub its eyes. Then, it stands again, and addresses you directly.
You come see Ambience? the creature asks, cocking its head.
"Uh, yes," you say, blinking.
Then you come right place, Ambience replies, smiling slightly. Ambience be Arikian, see. Ambience get powers from sunlight and forest. You see? Ambience shows you a smoky paw, and you nod. Ambience no like come out much from grove-safe, the Arikian confides. But Ambience see you and think, well, why not go meet?
"Well, thank you very much," you say. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Ambience."
Yes, Ambience says cheerfully. Ambience go now. Go back to grove-safe. But, instead of turning and walking back to the trees, Ambience vanishes into thin air.
Blinking in astonishment, you stand for a moment looking dumb. Then, you turn around and head back to the signpost as the sun slowly comes out from behind its shield and casts the forests into stunning relief.
