You decide to visit Skyrla. Her path seems short enough, and you jog to cover the distnace quickly. Soon, you reach a breezy glade, Full of pine trees and other evergreens. The most beautiful sight in the glade, however, is a white creature lying amongst the trees.
The elegant creature lifts her majestic head, staring your way with deep green eyes. She doesn't rise, only flicks her tail and whinnies.
"Greetings," you call, not wanting to frighten the delicate being by approaching. "I'm exploring Dracogrex, and I wonderd if maybe I could talk to you. Are you Skyrla?"
"Yes," comes the musical reply. "I welcome you to my glade. Are you enjoying your journeys?"
"Ah...yes," you say.
Skyrla trots up to you, and shakes her short mane. "Good," she says, smiling. "Anything you wish to know about me?"
"Well...how did you get here?"
Skyrla laughs, a sound mimicking birdcalls the likes of which you've never heard before. "You certainly aren't one for pretty language!" she comments, and, at your reaction, she adds, "that's not bad. I find it bothersome sometimes, to be sure. But, I have no problem with answering your question. Amaryllis was exploring Skyhaven, just as you explore Dracogrex now, looking for new things to wonder at. She found my mother, one of the rare Crystacorn of Trialle, wounded, and, through a series of taxing tests, she saved my mother's life. In return for such a wonderous deed, my sisters and I came back with Amaryllis to live with her. We've never been truly safe in Trialle since the humans came -- we were nearly hunted to extinction for our horns. But we are in a sort of haven here, and I could never thank Amaryllis enough for bringing us here."
"Wow," you say. "That's a great story." Once again, you see the things that Amaryllis has done for these creatures by bringing them into safe homes.
"This is a big realm," Skyrla says, "and you have many places to explore. Run along now, you've got a great journey ahead of you. You're charting uncharted territory for yourself, and I wish you the best of luck."
And she leaves you to walk back to the signpost, returning to rest in her haven of magic and wonder.
